“She was fantastic and took great care Annie. Annie has special needs and was great at maintaining her medication schedule as well as giving her plenty of love. Thank you!!”

“Bandit was so happy and calm when I picked him up. It was very clear he was comfortable and well taken care of! She took him on several walks and sent many pictures. He was a HAPPY BOY!!”

“Angelica was great to work with. We had a pre-meeting at her home to introduce my dog to her pets. She made sure her pets were secure when we arrived for drop off and gave my dog time to settle in. She sent regular updates and pics. She even sent us home with a clean dog pen. Will definitely use Angelica again and recommend her highly!”

“Amanda and her family took great care of my Remi. She sent pictures and updates twice a day and Remi always looked happy and having fun. I would definitely recommend her for anyone looking for great care of their dogs. We will be definitely using her again!”

“Leslie was very kind and patient with my puppy. She took very good care of her and I felt more than safe leaving my pup with her. Leslie’s home was also clean and well put together and filled with dog toys! If I ever need boarding again I will for sure be booking with her.”

“This was our fist time boarding our dogs. They did great and loved Joseph. He made them feel comfortable right away. They came back happy and tired. Would definitely recommend Joseph.”

“Great experience and a wonderful family. They loved our dog like he was their own. From the pictures they sent us, Sarge looked like he was living his best life while we were gone. Definitely a 5 star stay.”

“Sharon & Glen both took great care of my 2 dogs while I was out of town. One of my dogs has a hard time getting around and they were accommodating and so gentle. They also have the perfect back yard to let the other run off energy. Will absolutely book again for future travel needs. Thank you!!”
“They give Pepper so much love and are amazing at keeping us posted with photos and messages. This is our second time bringing Pepper to Christina and we will be definitely be bringing her back again.”

“April and family are amazing! We have a puppy and we’re looking for boarding options when we travel; April and her family took amazing care of our pup Maverick making him one of the family members! Couldn’t be more appreciative! Maverick will definitely be coming back for more sleepovers!”

“This was my dog's first stay with Jenea's family and it went great! Loved that we did a meet and greet first. Her pups were very friendly and she had a spacious yard. Janea sent regular updates and was friendly. I think my dog was well taken care of. I will book again!”

“Gail was very accommodating for my two dogs. She sent daily updates and pictures to put me at ease. My older dog Marble has anxiety and I knew she would take a few days to settle down. Gail assured me that she was doing ok. Ginger is a puppy and very high maintenance. I am glad she made friends to play with.”
“Robin was very understanding with our dog, Tabitha's needs - with her in mourning after the recent passing of our other dog, her closest companion and with us needing to be away from home for 8 days. Robin listened to all of the details of feeding and meds. Then she stayed in contact with us, updating us on Tabitha's adjustment to her new surroundings, sending great pics and playing the games she likes to play (FRISBE!) Robin was also VERY accomodating with our crazy flight schedules on drop off & pick up. Tabitha had such a good time she has returned to her joyful self! I highly reccomend Robin and she will be the first person we will reach out to the next time we need a dog sitter!”

“Alex and Jacquelynne were amazing! They sent pictures and even a cute video of our dog while we were out of town. I knew our dog was in great hands! Kiva got in the car and immediately fell asleep, she was definitely worn out from all the play time! We highly recommend Alex and Jacquelynne if you need someone to watch your dog!”

About: I've had numerous pets throughout my life including dogs, cats and even a lizard. I currently have two cats in and a bearded dragon. I love animals and enjoy caring for them! At this time I am in-between jobs so my schedule is open. I am available at any time unless one of my kids has an event then I will block out that time frame. My cats eat once a day, and I fill their bowls every morning. My bearded dragon has salad in the mornings, and whatever protein of the day in the afternoon/evening. I am available to do the same for other fur babies and would gladly take dogs for walks to get some steps in! I prioritize the safety of not just my own animals, but all animals I encounter. I adore animals and wish I could help them all.
About: I’ve taken care and raised dogs for over 43years. My wife and I have always had an average of 2 dogs and a cat for 40 years. I’m very experienced in potty training and basic commands along with at side walk training. Experienced in caring for elderly and mobility restricted dogs I am newly retired and live taking my dogs for walks and playing in the yard with them. I am normally at home all day and enjoy the exercise they bring me. We have a wooded large, study fenced backyard with ample space to roam and play. Typically walks are twice a day and last for 30-45 minutes. While I allow pets on the furniture, I reinforce the owners preferences to ensure consistency. Experienced with medication administration if needed

Frequently asked questions about Rover
Rover is the largest marketplace for local pet care. Whether you're looking for pet sitters, dog walkers, or house sitters who specialize in pet sitting, you can narrow your search by entering your ZIP code to find sitters within walking distance in your neighborhood.
Every sitter on Rover has their own routine. Depending on the arrangements you agree on before the stay, a sitter can follow your dog’s regular feeding schedule, provide a comfortable place to sleep, offer companionship, and support their usual exercise and play needs.
Depending on the sitter, their home environment, and your dog’s needs, daily exercise may include walks, outdoor play, indoor enrichment activities, or supervised play with compatible dogs. These activities are not automatically included with every booking, so ask the sitter what a typical day looks like.
During the Meet & Greet, discuss your dog’s usual exercise and play routine, whether they can safely interact with other dogs, and any activities or restrictions the sitter should follow. You can also ask the sitter to send photo and message updates during the stay so you can see how your dog is spending their time.
Preparing for drop-off is easy when you have a checklist! To help your dog settle into their Excelsior Estates home-away-from-home, we recommend packing:
- Health and safety essentials such as their ID tags, vaccination records, medication, and emergency vet or secondary caregiver contacts.
- Food and gear such as harnesses, collars, food (portioned by day), and an item that smells like you.
- Special instructions such as a list of training cues, medical administration needs, or favorite hang-out spots in your Excelsior Estates.
Tip: You can upload your dog’s routine and medical info directly onto their profile so your sitter always has the details at their fingertips.
You and your Excelsior Estates sitter can schedule drop-off and pick-up in a way that works best for the both of you—and your dog. Most sitters offer flexible times for drop-off and pick-up but the easiest way to confirm those times will be through in-app messaging. Confirm your arrival time the day of pick-up and drop-off can also help keep the process smooth and organized.
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee, which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page.
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in MO ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
