He was having big trouble before my trip, as he’d recently lost his brother – so I was extremely worried about leaving him. Felicia took that to heart and loved on him as if he were her own. She must have a sixth cat sense, because my cat is very shy and skittish; despite that, he quickly became comfortable with her, and even endured a building-wide alarm test without any residual trauma upon my return. That speaks volumes about how Felicia put him at ease! I can’t recommend her as a cat sitter enough.”

About: I’ve loved and cared for animals for as long as I can remember (I’ve been sneaking animals in my home since I was in diapers😌), and being around them truly makes me happiest. I’m incredibly empathetic toward animals (I don’t even kill bugs!), so every pet in my care is treated with gentleness, patience, and genuine love. The dogs in my photos are my beloved old pups (Milo the Golden Retriever and Yoshi the Shih Tzu) Milo was 8wks when I got him and Yoshi was 5wks — I don’t currently have any dogs, but I do have two friendly cats at home. Lucy my tiny little black cat🖤 and Foggy my orange menace 🧡 (both rescues) I have hands-on experience caring for and training my own dogs over the years, from large breeds like Dobermans to small breeds like Shih Tzus. I’ve also had cats my entire life so growing up half my cats were kitties I found, some even needing bottle feeding. I'm comfortable with all things feline — from playful kittens to independent seniors. Beyond dogs and cats, I’ve cared for chickens, birds, and many other kinds of pets throughout my life. I've been around all kinds of dogs most of my life and doggie and house sat through high school and college to support myself. About: Aside from my professional history as a wildlife biologist and former Oregon Zoo keeper I am a life long lover of dogs, cats, and all animals. I am experienced in all aspects of animal welfare from puppy training to administering senior dog medication and clipping cat nails. I'm in shape to handle any sized dog in the event of aggressive leash pulling or needing to lift a dog in case of emergency. I bring professional animal handing experience and an innate understanding and empathy towards animals. Recently furloughed Government wildlife biologist, I am currently available 24/7 if needed. I have my own animals at home I need to care for but between my wife and myself I have a flexible schedule and should be available whenever you need me. I'm experienced with all level of dog, cat, reptile, etc. care at all ages, including training. I can do multiple feeding a day, administer medication, walk, play, crate train, etc. I have an enclosed backyard in a quiet neighborhood that is safe for dogs of all sizes.

I previously cared for my own two senior diabetic dogs, one of whom also had a heart condition and Cushing’s disease, so I understand the importance of patience, routine, trust, and careful attention to detail. I also have experience caring for senior dogs and dogs with medical needs, including oral medications, injections, and special diets. Our home is currently pet-free, which allows me to give visiting dogs my full attention. This can be especially helpful for dogs who prefer a calmer space or do better without other resident pets. I also have a fenced yard for supervised outdoor time. I’ll keep you updated with photos, videos, and notes so you know how your dog is doing while you’re away.
