“Jailon was super sweet. Did a meet and greet beforehand to be sure they got along. Made sure she had food and water and communicated a lot. I’m very happy and will use him when he’s available.”

About: I have had both dogs and cats my entire life and even had a ferret at one point. I am a dog walker and cat and dog sitter (or cat walker if you would like!). Some of my current clients have been with me for 5 years. I also volunteer at a local shelter. I can drop in after 3 on most days since I am a student and weekends I am more flexible so I can work around your needs. I have a closed yard for my German Shepard and my cat is strictly an indoor cat. We use a mixture of dry and wet food for both animals and have frequent potty breaks for the dog.

About: I have always had dogs growing up, and I have been watching other dogs for many years. I work with both big and small dogs. I work Monday through Friday 9-5 but i am available before and after work as well as weekends. I am also available Wednesdays all day I believe in taking things slow and earning trust. Animals deserve to be respected in their homes, and I think this is key to good vibes

About: I’ve spent the last 10 years caring for dogs of all kinds, including reactive pups and those needing medication. I truly love animals and take the time to understand each pet’s personality and needs. Working from home allows me to be flexible and fully present—your pet gets real attention, not just a quick visit. I work from home so I have to ability to step away to care for people’s pets. I am also available most days and times It’s more than just walking dogs or making sure they have food and water. I want to make sure they know they are cared for emotionally as well and get some energy out by playing and interacting

“Alan and Ursula walked Bacchus weekly and were excellent with him. It took Bacchus a bit to warm up and Alan was very patient with him. Due to my job I often had to change my pup’s walk days and Alan was always flexible and worked with my schedule.”

“Devin has a really sweet and kind energy and the dogs took to him right away. He sent me lots of updates and photos on their walks. I would definitely use him again!”

About: I've cared for various kinds of pets over my whole life and at one point was able to become an AKC trained dog trainer! I've since changed jobs to a patient sitter at a nearby hospital and miss the new animals being in my life. I'd love to get a chance to meet your pets and help care for them! I work 3 inconsistent days from either 630am-pm or 630pm-am throughout the week but can make changes as needed to work up to 3 days a week for a client outside of that! I feel that all pets have a wide range of personalities and needs but the important thing is to work with them to achieve their physical and emotional needs! I have 2 cats with vastly different attitudes and I make sure to tailor my care for them in specific ways like being a safety person for my cat while she's eating or training my partners cat to ask for attention and treats more politely. When it comes to dogs I have a training in positive reinforcement and dog behaviors and will try to engage with breed specific enrichment on top of whatever schedule the pet parents have for their dog.

About: I have been housesitting and taking care of dogs and cats since high school. Whether it be going for walks or just cuddling with them in the house I have had experience in all areas. I have an 85 pound 1 year old dog of my own so I have experience with larger dogs in addition to smaller dogs. I am currently working part time so I will have plenty of time to play with your animals or take them on walks whatever is needed. I will make sure to keep your pets safe just as I would my own dog. I will keep them safe whether it be in your yard, in the house, or on a leash.

“Shannon has walked bear 2 times now! Despite the snowy cold weather for the first walk, Shannon was still willing to walk bear, which I really appreciate! Took photos and followed all the instructions I gave about giving treats! Thank you!!!”

About: I had a dog myself when I was younger and often looked after neighbors and cousins dogs while they were out of town. I’m doing this because I like the company of an animal and will treat it well while it’s in my care I work full time and are away from my home approximately 8:15am to 7:30pm. I could be available for and later evening walk but my weekends generally to not have plans so I will be available for a lot more care during that time. I live in an apartment but there is open grass space in the complex and throughout the neighborhood. I would enjoy a long walk or visiting a nearby dog park with any pet.

“Alexandra does a great job with my (high energy) German shorthaired pointer. She’s communicative about any concerns or changes - I appreciate her attention to detail, and she’s reliable and trustworthy.”

About: 🐶 Having been surrounded by dogs my entire life, I’ve developed a deep understanding and appreciation for their care. Growing up with dogs and raising my own, Harlow 🐾, from a puppy, has given me firsthand experience in fostering their well-being. My passion for animals extends beyond personal experience—participation in clubs at the Pittsburgh Zoo 🦁 provided me with valuable insights into animal behavior and care, further enhancing my knowledge. Being from Pittsburgh, I am fluent with many resources for me to enjoy with pets. 🐕🦺 My pet care journey started in 2014 with my first job at a dog care store on Butler Street, where I honed my skills in providing attentive and compassionate care. During my internship with the Water Authority in Bradford, PA, I dedicated my lunch breaks to volunteering at the local SPCA 🏠, offering love and attention to animals in need. These experiences have shaped me into a dedicated, knowledgeable, and empathetic sitter. 💛 As a remote, part-time engineering student, I have a flexible schedule that allows me to dedicate quality time to caring for my pets. I can easily fit dog walks, feeding, and playtime into my routine, ensuring each pet gets the attention it deserves. My love for animals and adaptable schedule make it easy to prioritize their well-being. I currently care for two dogs, my mother's and her boyfriend's, and have hands-on experience managing their daily needs. At home, I ensure a safe environment with our fenced-in yard and always prioritize the pets' well-being. For my clients' pets, I’m adaptable to their specific routines, whether that involves feeding, walks, playtime, or creating a comfortable space. Every pet in my care receives love and attention tailored to their unique needs.

About: Greetings. I've had pets most of my life and recently have taken care of many dogs during COVID on a long and short term basis. The longest stay I had was 2 months while the owner went to India. I recently moved to Pittsburgh (Mt Washington) from the Netherlands so I'm happy to have a pet to 🐶 hang out with while I'm learning the area. I work full time, however it's remote from home and I set my own break schedule. So I'll have plenty of spare time to walk, groom and play with the 🐕 I'm in a condo that allows pets and am on the ground floor so it's easy to take multiple breaks for a walk or run. Medicine wise, I have given pills and insulin injections to animals I have watched and not got scratched.

About: I’ve been caring for dogs since high school, and have been lucky enough to turn my love for dogs into a second job since transitioning to remote work. I built a loyal clientele in the North Hills during my time living there—now that I’ve moved to the city of Pittsburgh, I’m excited to expand my services! I’ll provide your pup with the love and attention they deserve while you're away! I work full time from 8-4 but mostly remote! On Thursdays, I have to go into the office from 9-3 but am able to come back to let the dogs out as needed. Please note: while I do work remote so I can be with your dogs, I do need to be able to take calls and meetings - I prefer dogs that will allow me to do so without distraction. I always keep a watchful eye on your dogs, inside and outside of your house. If your yard isn’t fenced in, I will always ensure they are leashed or attached to a tie-out. I will always keep doors shut (unless otherwise specified) and make sure no food is laying around. I am 100% responsive within the hour and love to send owners photos and videos of their dog while they’re away so they know their dog is in good hands!

About: I have taken care of dogs since I was 4. I grew up with 2 dogs and took care of them since they were puppies and until they passed away. I care for senior dogs and want them to be surrounded by lots of love as they age. Currently enjoying my summer break, I have plenty of free time to give your pets the attention they deserve. I’m available almost every day, at any time, to provide flexible care that fits yours and your pet’s needs. For house sits, I’ll ensure your pets feel at ease in their familiar environment while providing plenty of love, attention, and playtime. I stick to your pet’s routine, whether it’s feeding, walks, or snuggle time, to keep things as normal as possible. For day visits, I’ll stop by to check on your pets, offer playtime, provide meals or medication, and of course, give them the attention they deserve. Whether it's a quick check-in or a full day of fun, I make sure your pets are happy and well cared for!

About: I’ve loved animals my entire life. My childhood goal was to be a veterinarian. I have been involved in animal rescue since 2018. I have five rescue cats of my own. Three are special needs. Ask anyone, I treat them exactly like they are my children. I have a very flexible schedule. I work from home five days a week and am able to move my schedule around as needed. Your cat will get lots of love and attention I have a spacious upstairs bathroom I do not use as a bathroom, but a cat sitting room. There is a cat tree in a window with a great view. A comfy cat bed and lots of toys. I’m happy to provide pictures. I will start your cat off in my bathroom, but If they become comfortable enough, I will let them out with my animals. Typically this looks like them spending a few hours a day roaming my house, and sleeping in the bathroom at night.

Etna dog parents share their Rover experiences
Cooper enjoyed his walks with Alexandra , because he went with her the second day without hesitation . He loves being outside. I'm sorry it rained those 2 days and it was kind of miserable. Alexandra saved me, because I'm sick and didn't have the energy to walk Cooper.

Kirsten has been such an excellent addition as a dog walking and dog sitting resource for our pup Josie. She was wonderfully patient when getting initially introduced to our anxious pup, and has become an accepted and beloved member of the pack! I look forward to many more visits of her watching and caring for Josie.

Kelsey was incredibly kind and wonderful with our dog! She was available rather last minute which was so helpful. And she was very accommodating to my homebody pup. She also asked about her needs beforehand, which I appreciated, and provided updates and photos. Thank you Kelsey!!

Kerry was absolutely wonderful with Lilo! Lilo is a bit anxious around others and Kerry was so patient, kind, and caring that she quickly warmed up to her. This was the first time I left Lilo for such a long time Kerry definitely made this a smoother experience. I really enjoyed meeting her and will for sure contact her again!
