“Cynthia was really great with our 2 adult female cats! she was very responsive, stepping in last minute to do drop in visits after our original sitter fell through. Cynthia was very detail oriented and gave us great updates on each of her visits. We'd definitely consider using Cynthia the next time we need a pet sitter!”

About: I love animals. I have taken care of cats and dogs of all shapes ages and personalities. I am very friendly and have never met an animal that doesn’t like me. I have plenty of time to give your animal the care they need. I am available Monday-Sunday at any time, earlier morning or late at night. I currently have an active dog. I tend to go to the dog park for about 1-2 hours a day and we go for walks as well. I know how important it is to make your pet is getting the exercise they need.
“Halo did a great job looking after our 8 month old puppy for an hour. She was communicative and friendly. She took the stress of worrying about our pup away. We’ll definitely be hiring her again to look after our dog!”

“Danielle was absolutely amazing! She took care of our 2 dogs when we were out of town. She dropped by multiple times to check on them, play with them, walk them, feed them, and she left our home super tidy! She allowed us to travel completely as ease and she took awesome care of my babies. I’ve already rebooked with her and 10/10 would recommend!”

“Alyssa is amazing, she took such great care of our dogs! She was so patient with our very nervous dog and our senior dog. She is so responsive and she helped us out when we were in a bind, I couldn’t recommend her more, she truly is the best!”

About: As a pet sitter I feel responsible for caring for pets when their owners are not available. I may groom, feed and exercise your pets. I work based upon a set schedule or provide services on a periodic basis when the owner is unable to do so. I also offer training services. I am familiar with and able to work with pets of all kinds. I feel as though I am trustworthy because I’m aware I may be given access to customers’ homes. I am also physically able to exercise and care for pets. I have great love for animals, along with being friendly and possessing customer service skills. I love my 2 and a half year old American Staffordshire Terrier named Soxx. He’s all black with white paws (hence the name). Big Boston fan here too. He gets along with any and every body. Although he may be shy at first, he’s a friendly and caring dog. I do clean up after, groom, exercise and provide care for cats, dogs and small rodents, includes dog walking services and litter box and cage cleaning. I watch outdoor and indoor play to ensure safety of the pet. I feed and provide water based upon client instructions, which may be very detailed and must be followed exactly as given. I meet with potential clients to secure business, advertise services provided and explain the details of how pet sitting works. I will report any injuries or illnesses to pet parents as soon as possible, along with completing an injury/illness form to turn in as soon as pet parent is on-site. I will respect clients’ homes and personal property when on-site offering pet sitting services, includes cleaning up any pet messes. I will provide additional customer service as requested by clients, which may include picking up mail, watering plants and opening and closing blinds or curtains. I will check and follow schedule provided by pet parents and report any conflicts or issues to then as soon as possible but at least 24 hours in advance of scheduled sitting appointment.
“Jennifer took such great care of our cats! We will definitely be using her services again. One of our cats is extremely shy, but warmed up to Jennifer instantly at the meet and greet. Because of this we knew they would be in good hands and felt confident in leaving them in her care. Her attention to detail was wonderful as well!”

“Stephanie went above and beyond to take care of our disgruntled pit bull. In the process of switching sitters and our dog was not being friendly at all when Stephanie showed up, despite the previous meet & greet. Scary to have a pit growling and barking at you but Stephanie was able to win her over. Relieved and impressed, will be rebooking Stephanie regularly.”

“This was the first time I had to find a sitter for my babies. It has been difficult especially since my sons are in law enforcement they were very skeptical about having me bring in someone I did not know into my home. I looked through many profiles and found Sylvia. I am extremely surprised on how well Dodger and Nala have been around Sylvia ESPECIALLY DODGER LOL They both have been very comfortable around her and that makes me feel better. Thank you Sylvia”
About: I have had my dog for over 6 years now, his name is Max and he is a Caucasian Shepherd/Ovcharka mix. He's a very big boy, I would add my old dog Sammy, he was a Beegle, but I was too young to care for him nor remember him all too well, but I will always remember the love I had and still have for him. I am a primary caregiver for some of my friends and family for their pets as well, I did not want to be compensated, they convinced me to make an account on here. I'm currently working semi full-time, meaning I am marked as a full-time worker, but they are not giving me my full hours so my time shifts from week to week. That is why I would like to be contacted a week in advance so, I can properly manage my schedule from week to week, whether it be house sitting, walking or just hanging out with the little fur dudes and dudettes. I can not provide in-home care as my current living situation can not provide a safe environment. Hopefully this will change soon, but I can provide a safe, clean and loving environment in comfort of your home since going to new places can be stressful depending on the pup or cat.
“Sarah will be staying this weekend for dog sitting and I wanted her and him to get used to each other. He was a bit nervous but she stayed with him and tried her best to make him comfortable. They will be friends eventually!”

About: I have loved animals my entire life and have years of hands-on experience caring for dogs and cats. Growing up, I regularly walked all the neighborhood dogs, and today I help care for my friends' pets by walking their dogs and house sitting for both dogs and cats while they're away on vacation. I currently have two cats and a senior dog, so I'm comfortable caring for pets with different personalities, energy levels, and needs. Whether your dog loves a long walk, a slower stroll, or just some extra attention and companionship, I'll make sure they feel safe, happy, and well cared for. I treat every pet like they're my own and understand how important it is to have someone you can trust. I love animals of all sizes and look forward to giving your furry family member the care, exercise, and affection they deserve. I work full-time in wholesale flowers and finish my workday around 2:00 PM, which gives me dedicated time each weekday to care for pets. I'm available Monday through Friday from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM for walks, drop-in visits, and pet care. I usually spend my afternoons outside, and I often find myself wishing I had another dog to join me on my walks! My own senior dog prefers her walks later in the evening, so my afternoons are the perfect time to give your dog the exercise, attention, and companionship they need. Whether it's an energetic walk, playtime, or a visit to check in on your cat, I'm excited to help care for your furry family members. I believe pets thrive when they have a consistent routine, a clean environment, and lots of love and attention. At home, I make it a habit to check my pets' food and water every day, clean their bowls regularly, keep their litter box fresh, and maintain a clean water fountain with routine filter changes. I also make sure my senior dog has fresh food and water, a clean feeding area, and that everyone is happy, healthy, and comfortable. When caring for pets in a client's home, I follow their routines as closely as possible because I know consistency helps pets feel safe while their family is away. I'll make sure your pet has fresh food and water, plenty of attention, exercise or playtime, and a clean space. I'll also keep an eye out for any changes in behavior or anything that seems unusual and communicate with you right away if needed. I treat every home with respect and every pet as if they were my own, and I'm happy to provide photo and video updates so you can have peace of mind while you're away.

“Mellania is great with my pups! I had her come out a few times now and I can tell she is very kind and gentle. I appreciate that she is very patient with my two shy dogs, which was my main concern. We will be using Mellania as our regular dog sitter. Thank you Mellania for being so kind to my two pups and patiently working with them to warm up to you. We appreciate you!”

Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.
House sitting can be ideal for cats who need socialization or care that lasts longer than a few hours. Your cat stays in their own home, on their own schedule, with care based on what you and your sitter agree on together.
Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Engineer Springs. On Rover:
- 92% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 96% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 97% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
