I knew he was in the right place when he seemed so comfortable at their house. ( He is generally very shy around new people and pets.) He got his daily walks in their fenced yard. It was very comforting to know he had a secure place to wander around since his vision and hearing is impaired. They are also genuinely sweet people who obviously love animals. I was the primary caretaker for our family dog for 15 years, have worked in many animal care facilities ranging from a dog grooming boutique to the zoo! I have a flexible work schedule that allows me to be home during parts of the day so you can be sure your pet will get plenty of exercise, outdoor time, and cuddles (if they like them). You should note that I also have a pet bunny and a roommate who will be sharing the responsibilities! I am happy to keep the bunny separated or if they are friendly letting them roam together. It's up to you and what you are comfortable with! We can always set up a greeting ahead of watching your pet as well. She was watching my dog during this last snow event and not only did she reassure me because I couldn’t get back in time (plane cancelled) that she would gladly keep her as long as needed she went to the store and bought more of her dog food as I didn’t send enough. Cats are kept safely indoors in a calm environment. I have two friendly, well-socialized dogs, and I always introduce pets carefully while supervising all interactions. I can keep pets separated if needed, follow your pet’s routine, and provide regular updates with photos so you know they’re happy and well cared for.

About: I’ve always had dogs and cats my whole life. I’ve watched friends’ pets in the past to help them out. I’ve boarded and walked on multiple occasions. I work during the day M-F. During the summer my two very responsible 19 and 20 year olds are home to help out and play with the animals as well. I’m looking at this as a learning opportunity in responsibility for them. I have a small yard and live in a nice neighborhood that is good for walking. I have a dog named Westley who is 3 1/2 and a cat, Daisy, that is 6. Both have been around both dogs and cats. Daisy generally will hide if she’s scared. Westley loves to play.
