Hello! My name is Jackie and I have countless years of experience caring for pups of all sizes and ages. I was the primary caretaker for our family dog for 15 years, have worked in many animal care facilities ranging from a dog grooming boutique to the zoo! On top of my hands-on experience with dogs and cats, I have an educational background in wildlife conservation. My passion in life is to care for all animals the way they deserve to be cared for, so you can trust that I will put 110% of my love, skills, and dedication to your beloved pets. Jackie loves animals of all sorts. She is gentle and kind and understands both their boundaries and their needs. Having taken care of our lab for 15 years, Jackie always knew just what our Baxter needed. She always paid attention to when he needed walks, needed to play, needed food and water, and needed love. She was attentive to his ailments and offered gentle compassion to help him through. After Bax was gone, Jackie embarked on her own pet ownership with her bunny, Garbanzo. Her love of animals runs so deep she even made it her field of study at Virginia Tech - Wildlife Conservation. I glowingly recommend Jackie to care for anyone's pet. Schedule
I have a flexible work schedule that allows me to be home during parts of the day so you can be sure your pet will get plenty of exercise, outdoor time, and cuddles (if they like them). You should note that I also have a pet bunny and a roommate who will be sharing the responsibilities! I am happy to keep the bunny separated or if they are friendly letting them roam together. It's up to you and what you are comfortable with! We can always set up a greeting ahead of watching your pet as well.

Safety, trust & environment
Safety is my number one priority when it comes to caring for other living creatures, so you can be sure that I will be communicative and explicit with detail about how your pet is doing along with any concerns you or I may have. I want you to be secure in knowing that your pet is in a loving and safe environment. Providing specific feeding regimens, favorite toys, and places your pet enjoys will be helpful in making sure that safe environment is all the more comfortable for them as well!
A typical day
I am a very outdoorsy person, so I will not shy away from any dog park, long walk, or other outdoor activity that your pet enjoys and deserves. I will be sure to listen to their behavioral activities and understand when they have energy to get out, or when it's time for a long nap. Whether a puppy or a senior pet, I can adjust my typical walk regimen to what's best for them! No two dogs are the same after all.
