“Amazing. Bohdan really helped our family out as we had a family member (who was our pet caregiver) fall the day before we had to leave town. He went above and beyond in so many ways! Thank you Bohdan and family.”

About: I have always grown up with animals and my love for them led me to a job at a pet resort. I was a kennel technician for 4 years which provided me great insight to care for all types of furry friends. I just graduated college from UNC Charlotte and home in Emerald Isle for the summer. Most days I workout and hang with my family so my schedule is pretty flexible. I always try to keep each pet’s routine as close as possible to what they’re used to because I know how stressful change can feel—especially for anxious pets. I’m patient, gentle, and attentive, and I make it my priority to provide comfort, consistency, and lots of love while they’re away from their parents.
“Very responsive and super friendly! Suzanne saved us while on vacation to walk our dog while we were exploring the area. Our dog was very grateful for the break out of the house. Would definitely use her again when we come back.”

“Liz is super. She is reliable to come when scheduled. If there are any changes, she is flexible to our needs. Communication is great; she always provides a report and photos. Most importantly, she loves Baby and gives her the attention needed. If you are looking for an experienced person to love and walk your dog, look no further. We highly recommend her.”

About: I am currently a vet assistant and in school to earn my degree in Veterinary Technology! I have a black lab and a DMH cat. I have a lot of experience working with animals and would love to get to know yours! I currently work full time as a vet assistant! I am off every Saturday and Sunday and available after 12 on Mondays! If you need me after 5 during the week days, I can make that work as well! I am currently unable to care for your pets in my home, but I will be happy to follow any instruction that you have for your animal in your home. I have experience with puppies as well so I don't mind cleaning any mess that may occur.
About: I love animals, especially dogs, more than words can express! We have always had small dogs in our family since I was born. I could never imagine living without a dog in my household. In fact I have always had my miniature schnauzers as my fur babies since my early 20’s. I also use my endless dog walks as another form of exercise especially with the awesome beach roads all over the island that we are fortunate to enjoy living on the island. Since I never had children I have extremely spoiled animals. Me and my husband are retired and I work a very part time job so have a lot of flexibility with my schedule. My husband may also like to join in with my walks as well to help keep your pooch entertained and continue with our daily exercise regimen. If your pet does not do well on long walks please mention that so we don’t wear them out too much! I would like to walk your dog on the beach or beach access if allowed. If you would rather we stay on the neighborhood streets that’s fine too! My house/pet sitting service will include feeding, playing, walking, cleaning up pet waste in yard or litter box and light housekeeping such as vacuuming up pet fur if applicable. I have a very flexible schedule. I do work a few days a week part time but only 4-5 hr shifts at a time. I would love to be your pet’s next best friend! I am an extremely anal retentive pet owner and home owner. I probably take better care of my pets than my own self! We do not miss any yearly vet appointments and are very attentive to any ailments that may come along. I always say the worst part of being a pet owner is when they have to cross the rainbow bridge.
About: Hi! I'm Lindsay, a lifelong dog lover and owner, and caring for animals has always been a part of my life. I've been pet sitting since college, both in my own home and in clients' homes. I understand that every pet has unique needs and routines, and I work hard to make sure they feel comfortable, loved, and cared for while you're away. From energetic puppies to laid-back senior dogs, I enjoy building trust with pets and providing the same level of care I would want for my own animals. My goal is to provide reliable, loving care so you can have peace of mind knowing your furry family member is in good hands. 🐾❤️ I'm currently on summer break from teaching, which gives me a flexible schedule and plenty of availability for pet care. I can provide consistent attention, exercise, playtime, and companionship to help keep your pet happy and comfortable while you're away. I want every pet to feel comfortable and cared for while their family is away. I will follow your pet's regular routine as closely as possible, including feeding, walks, potty breaks, medications, and playtime. I provide plenty of attention, affection, and supervision to help pets feel safe, relaxed, and happy.

About: I have taken care of all types of animals my entire life. I’ve had many dogs and cats at the same time. I love animals with a passion. I am empathetic to their needs. I understand where certain behaviors develop and how to not only prevent them, but to remove them completely. I have experience in dog training (household, leash, media/film, etc.). I have trained puppies all the way to senior dogs. Being with animals is not a hobby for me; it is a lifestyle. I work part time and have plenty of time, particularly before 4pm to play with your pups or kitties! I will assess inquiries on a case by case basis dependent on my availability. I will follow whatever systems you have in place for your furry friend. I can go on walks, play in the backyard, crate if necessary, feed and give medications, etc. I also can make and deliver my premium dog and cat food that I make with 100% whole and mainly organic ingredients for an additional charge.
About: I have been caring for animals my entire life as a child, wildlife rehabilitator and as a wildlife biologist. For the last year and a half I have built a very nice reputation as a dependable and loving pet sitter. I have watched dogs, cats and birds! I have taken care of many senior dogs as well as a few puppies. Needless to say I’m not afraid of a pee pad or pill bottles! I work remotely and choose my hours, meaning, I can be with your animals at all time if need be. I do not mind staying with them 24/7 while you are away. It also means you can contact me any time that you need too. I live on a dead end road with very low traffic and have a very large yard. We will also go for nice walks down to the river where our road ends and a trail leads out to the river. My two main borders often do not want to leave or they want to come back home with me. It’s a great spot for dogs, whether they need to be leashed or not. If I am staying at your house I will always follow their normal routine. I really like for my clients to leave a note with food instructions, treat instructions, medicine, and daily routine. I also like to have a just incase number (neighbor or family member in the area) and the veterinarian. This is all just incase of an emergency and to make sure your pet stays safe and has the best time possible with me.

I helped raise a littler of ten black lab puppies, ensuring they received proper nutrition and constant affection. Here's a peek into my daily schedule to give you an idea of how I'll be caring for your beloved pets. **Early Morning (6:00 AM - 8:00 AM):** I start the day bright and early, ensuring your pets have a good start too. This is the time for the first walk of the day for dogs, making sure they have plenty of exercise to start their day. For cats, this is the time for feeding, litter box cleaning, and maybe a little playtime if they're up for it. **Late Morning (8:00 AM - 12:00 PM):** After a little breakfast for myself, I continue with pet duties. This includes any necessary grooming, administering medication (if applicable), and more playtime or training sessions. I'll also check in with you, sending updates and photos of your fur-babies. **Afternoon (12:00 PM - 5:00 PM):** Lunchtime! I'll ensure your pets are fed according to their dietary needs and schedule. After lunch, it's time for another walk for the dogs or some indoor playtime for pets needing more exercise. I'll also continue to monitor your pets for any signs of discomfort or stress and provide comfort as needed. **Evening (5:00 PM - 9:00 PM):** Dinner time for your pets. I'll feed them and ensure they have fresh water. After dinner, there will be time for another walk or play session. I'll also spend some time just relaxing with your pets, as I believe that bonding time is essential for their emotional well-being. **Late Evening/Night (9:00 PM - 10:00 PM):** Before I call it a day, I'll take dogs out for a last quick bathroom break, tidy up the pet areas, and make sure all pets are comfortable and ready for bed. I'll also send you an end-of-day update so you can rest easy knowing your pets are well cared for. Please note that this is a general schedule and can be adjusted to meet the specific needs of your pets. I look forward to providing the best care for your furry (or feathery or scaly) family members! I currently do petsitting in the owners home, so the pets feel comfortable in an environment they are already comfortable in.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
