Amazing. Bohdan really helped our family out as we had a family member (who was our pet caregiver) fall the day before we had to leave town. He went above and beyond in so many ways! Thank you Bohdan and family.

You’re an exceptional walker. My dog gets excited when it’s time to for Robyn to come. She is tired when she gets home, but it’s the good tired. So glad we found Robyn, she is excellent.

About: Hello! We are a husband-and-wife pet care team with a lifelong love for animals. Having both grown up surrounded by pets, caring for animals has always been a natural part of our lives. We are experienced dog owners, have trained our own dogs, and in recent years have also been responsible breeders of several dog breeds, giving us extensive hands-on experience with dogs of all ages, temperaments, and needs. What sets us apart is that we typically work as a team, providing your pets with the attention and care of two dedicated animal lovers. Whether your pet needs daily walks, companionship, exercise, or extra attention while you're away, we treat every animal as if they were our own. We have experience caring for puppies, seniors, and dogs with special needs, and we are comfortable administering medications when required. We understand that your pets are family, and our goal is to provide reliable, loving care that gives you complete peace of mind. When you choose us, you're choosing a trusted team that will care for your loved ones as if they were part of our own family. I have a flexible part-time work schedule that allows me to care for your fur babies when you need me to. My schedule is built around your pet care needs. We believe every pet deserves personalized care based on their unique needs, personality, and routine. Before providing care, we take the time to learn about your pet's schedule, feeding requirements, exercise needs, medications, and any special instructions to ensure a seamless experience. For care in your home, we strive to maintain your pet's normal routine to minimize stress and keep them comfortable in their familiar environment. We provide feeding, fresh water, walks, exercise, playtime, litter box or yard maintenance, medication administration if needed, and plenty of affection and companionship. We are also happy to provide updates and photos so you can have peace of mind while you're away. As a husband-and-wife team, we often work together, allowing us to provide additional attention and flexibility for your pets. Our lifelong experience with animals, including owning, training, and breeding several dog breeds, has given us the knowledge and confidence to care for pets of all ages, temperaments, and needs. We are comfortable caring for puppies, kittens, senior pets, and animals requiring special accommodations or medications. Our goal is simple: to treat every pet as if they were our own and provide a safe, loving, and reliable experience for both pets and their owners.

About: Hello! My name is Moe and I have had the pleasure of being around animals my entire life. From helping my parents with the many pets we have owned to watching my neighbor's and relative's animals, and even farm sitting, taking care of and loving animals has been an integral part of my life! I have job experience at a pet boutique that also provided grooming, daycare, and boarding services. I also have work experience as a dog walker in the metro Atlanta area, and love getting to interact with the various types of pets I come across. I have all of the skills and experience to make sure your beloved pet is treated and taken care of the exact way it needs! Pet care is worked in to my weekly routine by ensuring we get plenty of time together before and after my work shifts. I work as the Studio Manager for our local Wine & Design with work days usually being Tuesday-Saturday 10 am - 6 pm! With pet parent permission I am allowed to bring dogs in to work to spend the day with me as well! I do my best to incorporate plenty of enrichment such as play time or walks to ensure that the critters are expending their energy and not spending too much time wondering where their owners are!!

About: I have extensive experience caring for both dogs and cats, beginning in early childhood and continuing into adulthood. I have owned dogs, cats, and horses since around the age of eight, which gave me an early understanding of daily pet care, animal behavior, and the responsibility required to keep pets healthy, safe, and happy. ***If you’d like a walk please book walking service otherwise I will just do a quick potty break and spend rest of time doing typical care*** In addition to personal pet ownership, I have gained hands-on experience dog and cat sitting for others. This has included caring for pets in their own homes as well as managing routines that differ from my own, such as specific feeding schedules, medication instructions, exercise needs, and behavioral preferences. I am comfortable caring for pets of different ages, temperaments, and energy levels, including puppies, kittens, senior pets, and animals that require extra patience or reassurance. My pet-sitting responsibilities have often included daily walks, playtime️, feeding, administering medications as directed, cleaning up after pets, and ensuring they feel secure while their owners are away. I also understand the importance of clear communication with pet owners and providing updates for peace of mind.

About: With years of hands-on experience breeding dogs and training German Shepherds, I bring a deep understanding of canine behavior, structure, and care to every pet I watch. From high-energy working dogs to beloved family companions, I provide attentive, knowledgeable, and compassionate care tailored to each dog’s needs. Whether it’s structured exercise, basic reinforcement training, or just dependable companionship, your pet will be in experienced and caring hands. I have part time job that I work at occasionally, but my passion is caring for our furry friends! I have 3 of my own and always find my most joyful moments are spent loving on them. Caring for pets is all about meeting them in their comfort space and going from there. Each furry friend has their own boundaries and when caring for them, it is vital to get to know them and build a trusting relationship with them, based on their personality. A meet and greet is the best way I have found to start this relationship.

Christine has been faithfully walking my girls twice a week for several months. She is reliable, kind and very attentive to my babies. My situation has changed and at this time I can no longer continue with ROVER. This is in no way a reflection of Christine. She has been like a God-mother to Shelby and Molly Shanna and they will miss her terribly.

About: I have been caring for animals my entire life as a child, wildlife rehabilitator and as a wildlife biologist. For the last year and a half I have built a very nice reputation as a dependable and loving pet sitter. I have watched dogs, cats and birds! I have taken care of many senior dogs as well as a few puppies. Needless to say I’m not afraid of a pee pad or pill bottles! I work remotely and choose my hours, meaning, I can be with your animals at all time if need be. I do not mind staying with them 24/7 while you are away. It also means you can contact me any time that you need too. I live on a dead end road with very low traffic and have a very large yard. We will also go for nice walks down to the river where our road ends and a trail leads out to the river. My two main borders often do not want to leave or they want to come back home with me. It’s a great spot for dogs, whether they need to be leashed or not. If I am staying at your house I will always follow their normal routine. I really like for my clients to leave a note with food instructions, treat instructions, medicine, and daily routine. I also like to have a just incase number (neighbor or family member in the area) and the veterinarian. This is all just incase of an emergency and to make sure your pet stays safe and has the best time possible with me.

As of August 2026, there are 476 sitters on Rover offering Dog Walking across Newport. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.

Whether you want a solo or group walk depends on your dog's personality. Solo walks can be beneficial for dog parents with reactive dogs, puppies, or dogs who are anxious around unfamiliar animals. Many dog walkers on Rover offer private, one-on-one walking services.

Group walks are a good fit for social dogs who enjoy structured walks. If your dog prefers the energy of a group stroll, ask your dog walker about group walks in your Newport. Since all dog walkers are local, they may have a neighborhood dog who is a good walking companion to yours.

For dog walking services, you can request a report card update with specifics about your dog’s walk. Report cards require photos and can include a map of the walking route , total walk time, poop and pee breaks, and distance traveled, so you know exactly where your dog has been walking in Newport.

Got specific details you'd like the dog walker to include? Message them in the app before your dog’s walk begins.

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

Every walker on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

Yes, you can find walkers who have experience with handling special pet needs in Newport. On Rover:

  • 96% of walkers can help with special care needs
  • 96% can help with giving oral medications or injections
  • 92% can help with daily exercise

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
