Cat Sitting in Emerald Isle

About: I’ve been caring for pets since middle school and have over 7 years of experience with pups and cats of all ages and temperaments. As a landscape architecture student at Virginia Tech, I love spending time outside and staying active—whether that means long walks, hikes, or just backyard playtime. Friends, family, and neighbors have trusted me for years to walk, feed, bathe, and love their pets like my own. I treat every animal with patience, joy, and genuine care. I’m home this summer from school so I am quite flexible, and since I have a car, I can easily travel to homes, parks, trails, or wherever works best for you! I do my best to make your pet feel comfy and cared for, whether I’m hanging out at your place or taking them for a walk. I’ll follow whatever routine you’ve got and use whatever leash or gear you prefer. If your pup needs to be crated at certain times, I’ve got no problem with that—and I’ll make sure they’re settled and relaxed. I’m also comfortable giving meds if needed, just let me know the details :)

“So happy we found Ashleigh! Just had our first drop in visit. It went great! Was comforting to know that Ashleigh broke up our pups’ day and left awesome notes and photos from the visit. She met with us the day before so the dogs could meet her with us and was and we could share their normal activities and play preferences. We’re in a unique situation were our pups have to be separated with a gate. It’s a very calm and controlled environment with the gates. But, without seeing it, that sound like a lot. Ashleigh gave us a chance and handled the pups great! We will definitely be requesting Ashleigh for our future sitter needs.”

About: I worked at a pet boarding/daycare facility for three years. I’ve administered medication and handled dogs and cats of all ages and sizes. I’m currently training for a triathlon and taking classes online, so my schedule is flexible and I have lots of energy to expend on play dates. I have experience handling dogs of all sizes, adapting to new environments, and recognizing signs of aggression before it happens, allowing me to keep your pup safe and happy.

About: I've always had a dog in the family to care for and now I get the pleasure of caring for my "granddogs"! I feel comfortable administering medicines and accommodating special needs your best friend may have! I just recently retired and am looking to fill the hours I would normally be working with jobs from Rover. I am typically available Monday through Thursday but do occasionally shift my schedule to accommodate travelling with my better half! I typically offer services away from my home being that I do not have a fenced in area for play time. I feel more comfortable coming to your fur baby's home to check in on them.

During the five days Rebekah cared for our girls, we received updates twice a day, always with great photos and videos. One of our cats, Sadie, worked herself into such a state that she developed diarrhea even before we left. When we let Rebekah know, she suggested adding pumpkin to Sadie’s diet—and voilà! Problem solved. We were so impressed by Rebekah’s attentiveness, knowledge, and genuine care for our cats. We came home to two happy, well‑cared‑for girls and couldn’t be more grateful. About: I have always grown up with animals and my love for them led me to a job at a pet resort. I was a kennel technician for 4 years which provided me great insight to care for all types of furry friends. I just graduated college from UNC Charlotte and home in Emerald Isle for the summer. About: I absolutely love animals. I've had dogs and cats since I was 6. Since then I've help train a service dog and fostered many other dogs. I currently have three dogs: chihuahua mix, pug rat terrier mix, and a great Pyrenees. I currently am a personal trainer so I don’t have a set schedule. I will be able to let the pet outside or spend time with them in between clients. I can take the pets on daily walks, depending on their schedule and when they like to. I like to know where the food is and if they get treats for doing specific things.

About: Ive had dogs, cats, ferrets, turtles, fish and more ever since I was little. I currently have dogs and ferrets who are my whole world. I currently have plenty of free time not just for my own furry friends but to help others give their furry friends the best life possible. I have a senior citizen beagle who has severe hip dysplasia and arthritis he takes medication 3 times a day orally, I also have a 4 year old mix breed puppy who is high energy and loves going on hikes and adventures. About: I have been caring for animals my entire life as a child, wildlife rehabilitator and as a wildlife biologist. For the last year and a half I have built a very nice reputation as a dependable and loving pet sitter. I have watched dogs, cats and birds! I have taken care of many senior dogs as well as a few puppies. Needless to say I’m not afraid of a pee pad or pill bottles! I work remotely and choose my hours, meaning, I can be with your animals at all time if need be. I do not mind staying with them 24/7 while you are away. It also means you can contact me any time that you need too. I live on a dead end road with very low traffic and have a very large yard. We will also go for nice walks down to the river where our road ends and a trail leads out to the river. My two main borders often do not want to leave or they want to come back home with me. It’s a great spot for dogs, whether they need to be leashed or not. If I am staying at your house I will always follow their normal routine. I really like for my clients to leave a note with food instructions, treat instructions, medicine, and daily routine. I also like to have a just incase number (neighbor or family member in the area) and the veterinarian. This is all just incase of an emergency and to make sure your pet stays safe and has the best time possible with me.
