“Our English Setter (Denver) stayed with Susan over Spring Break. Denver can be a stress bomb when away from his normal routine and environment. Susan did a great job settling him down and taking care of him. When we picked him up, he was in perfect health, calm and relaxed. We will definitely use Susan again if we return to the Emerald Isle area with Denver.”

About: I grew up on a farm with not only dogs and cats but cows, chickens, horses, pigs, and even bunnies and snakes. You name it I’ve either owned it or tried to bring it in the house in my pockets. As for dogs and cats specifically, I’ve had three dogs and too many kitties to count. I’ve bottle fed both and have trained my personal dogs from puppyhood. I can give advice on trouble areas in that regard (but I am not a professional dog trainer by any means). Last year, my dog Memphis was diagnosed with kidney disease. I administered medicine and care for him until he had to leave this world. All that to say, I am able to help with sick/elderly dogs. I currently have two cats, Khaleesi and Seuss, and a German Shepherd Dog, Cash, all of whom I love dearly. I am available most weekends and I work 8 to 4 throughout the week. When I am at work, I have an enormous yard for the pups to play in. If you have an escape artist, I can work with you on a solution that keeps them safe with as much freedom as you're comfortable with. Your pets will be my pets while I’m with them! I live in a home with a cat and a dog. If your pet is able to reside comfortably alongside my animals I’d love to have them visit us! I can be as active or relaxed with them as you’d like me to be. I have a large fenced in yard, and I spend at least an hour before and after work with my dog either playing fetch or going for a walk. Trips to the dog park are special treats for us. If you’re comfortable with it and they are at least moderately behaved on a leash, I’ll bring them along. If I am coming to your home, I will treat it as my own and leave everything how I found it. The litter box will be cleaned and the water/food refilled as necessary. I’ve been known to water the plants on the way out the door as well.

“Chloe was right at home at Lucia's house. Napping on the couch and playing the kids. It looks like they all loved her and gave her a lot on attention. They have a big yard and I'm sure Chloe took advantage of it.”

“Selena and her sister Samantha were amazing caregivers for my sons dog. We were out of town, staying at a hotel. My dog was doing well there, apparently not meant for hotel life, who knew lol. So we got on Rover, Selena answered right away and allowed me to bring him by. I was bit a nervous to leave him, so after I left, I sent a message and got pictures right away. Throughout the evening into the night they were responsive. Next morning as well before pick up. 10/10 I recommend”
