“Marcia is such an amazing dog sitter! She gives constant and continual updates during our sweet boy's stay with her. Both photos and videos! When youre away for a while, even in vacation, you think of your pets but whenever my mind would drift back home to Apollo I'd see Marcia sent me new photos of him playing with other dogs or lounging about with her. It was such a comfort. She truly loves what she does and she will be out go-to dog sitter from here on out!”

“Jazmine took such wonderful care of Nala over Memorial Day weekend and we couldn’t have been happier. She was attentive, kind, and clearly treated Nala like one of her own. It gave us so much peace of mind knowing she was in such good hands while we were away. Nala came home happy, comfortable, and very loved. We truly appreciated the care and attention Jazmine gave her and would absolutely recommend her to anyone looking for someone trustworthy and caring to watch their pup!”

“Amanda, was an absolute pleasure! She took such good care of Duke, excellent communication and flexible with pick up / drop off. Duke really enjoyed his time with Amanda and her dogs!! We'll definitely be back!”

“We had to leave our 6 month old puppy for a summer vacation, I was so nervous to leave him for over a week, but Samantha was wonderful, he is full of puppy energy and loved playing with her dogs, she provided frequent updates and photos and was so flexible, Apollo had a great time and we will defiantly use her again!”

About: I have a 1.5 y/o male Pyrenees. He spends the day outside in his Dog Run I built him (6.5 ft fence, 24x24) that’s connected to a closed in back porch (60x12) to get out of the sun. Dogs get walked 1-2 times a day and plenty of play! I work from 8-3 M-F. I take my dog on a walk 1-2 times a day and he spends the rest of the day in his dog run and playing with me. He loves having friends over! My dog, Hogan, gets multiple walks a day and training/play each night. He loves to be outside but when other dogs are around he loves to play with them. He’s a gentle giant though, and is very okay with not being rough.
“Jessica was an amazing Sitter. She’s a great care of our Sheepadoodle. He loved being there she must update it on how he was doing and sent us lots of pictures. I would highly recommend her to watch your dog.”

“Jessica has taken care of our English Labrador several times and we are very happy with her. Our dog, Kasi, loves to stay at Jessica's home, she enjoys her time there. We are very lucky to have found Jessica because she is close to our home and very flexible. We really appreciate that. If you need a reliable, friendly and happy home to take care of your dog, we definitely recommend Jessica. Thank you Jessica.”

“Glory and her family were great with Penelope! I received lots of updates and pictures. In the pictures Penelope looked super happy. I can tell she enjoyed a being there and felt comfortable. Will definitely be booking again <3”

“Heather was awesome. She and her kids treated Dixie like family and loved having her there. We warned that Dixie might try to climb in bed with her or the kids but she didn’t have a chance. The kids slept with her instead.”

“We had a fantastic experience! Our fur baby is extremely anxious and had a great time. Christen communicated regularly and sent pictures. This is was first time using Roover and are so happy we chose Christen!”

“Caitlin was amazing and took great care of my boy while I was away for the weekend. She sent pics & videos which were very much appreciated❤️ I will absolutely be reaching out again in the future :))”

“Samantha and Christopher were absolutely amazing with my two GSDs! They took such wonderful care of them, and it gave me so much peace of mind while I was away. Every picture they sent showed both of my dogs looking happy, relaxed, and well cared for, which meant the world to me. My dogs have separation anxiety, so leaving them is never easy, but Samantha and Christopher made the entire experience so much less stressful. It was clear they were patient, attentive, and genuinely cared about making my pups feel safe and comfortable. I'm incredibly grateful for the love and care they gave my dogs. I wouldn't hesitate to book with them again, and I highly recommend them to anyone looking for trustworthy, compassionate sitters. Thank you both for taking such great care of my babies! ❤️”

About: I’ve had experience handling, training and caring for dogs of any breed, fifteen plus years. Just recently moved from Washington where I volunteered and donated to Summit Assistance Dogs. My experience with puppies has come from the association above. Though I know how to administer meds and exercise through personal experience with my own kids (dogs). I’m currently a stay-at-home mom, attending part-time college. My schedule is open Monday-Friday, due to weekends for my children’s games. Have plenty of time for fur babies. I have a fenced backyard, behind us I have a walking path to the forest. Plenty of space to get zoomies and games of fetch or catch. My family (older children) offers plenty of playtime and cuddles!
“Absolutely FANTASTIC!! Nick treated our dog as if he were his own. He sent through daily updates with photos and it was clear our boy couldn’t have been happier. He took great care with his special diet and supplements and got him out on multiple walks. His own dog is an absolute sweetheart and we can’t recommend them both enough. If you need a sitter, Nick should be your first option! Looking forward to booking with him again.”

“This was our first time using Rover so we were pretty nervous to leave our dogs with a stranger! We have two fur babies and one of them has extreme anxiety and has trouble in larger boarding facilities so we have been looking for other options. We met Brittany and she was so sweet, sent so many photos and videos, even made them homemade treats!”
About: I’ve moved a lot and everywhere I went my one job that stayed consistent was pet sitting. I started watching family friends and neighbors pets at age 10. Pets have been a very big part of my life since I was little. I do want you to know the price could be higher or lower depending on the specific situation. I’m currently working from my home . I’m available for boarding 7 days a week. I’m at my house full time and would love to have some furry friends over. I live on base, which has dog parks and is very safe. I take walks around my neighborhood frequently so you don’t have to worry about your pet not going out. I don’t have a big fenced in backyard but it is good for small dogs. I have a kitten who loves dogs and cats. He’s very sweet and lovable. I work part-time from my home so i’ll have plenty of time to play, cuddle, and walk your furry friend. My job allows me to choose my own hours so i’m able to make your pet feel loved when they are here. I have a small fenced backyard good for small dogs. I also have a very friendly kitten who loves dogs and cats. There are a lot of dog parks by me along with a lot of places to explore.

During the Meet & Greet, discuss your dog’s usual exercise and play routine, whether they can safely interact with other dogs, and any activities or restrictions the sitter should follow. You can also ask the sitter to send photo and message updates during the stay so you can see how your dog is spending their time.

It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee, which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page.
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in NC ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
Adding another pup to the pack? Most sitters and walkers offer a reduced rate for additional dogs. You’ll find these exact rates listed under the "Services" tab on any sitter's profile. Since every dog is unique, final pricing may vary depending on the level of care required.
