About: Dogs, cats, birds, and fish . . . These are some of the best friends I’ve had over the last 45 years. All of my pets have lived long, healthy lives based on excellent feeding, grooming, and regular medical care. I genuinely love animals and have a very watchful eye on their well-being. I am a retired school administrator with a 36-year history of creating productive learning environments and protecting the lives of thousands of school children. Care-taking is my thing. Now, I have a very flexible schedule/calendar, and I am wide open to opportunities to meet and care for animals of all shapes, sizes, and colors. I am available to follow instructions for drop-in or pet/house-sitting in the client’s home—including feeding and letting dogs out for potty breaks, feeding and checking in on cats, and feeding fish or birds.

About: I started out working with horses at a small little barn in Newport NC. I have owned lizards, cats, dogs, snakes, and two horses (not collectively at the same time!). I worked at Petsense as well where I worked with animals on a consistent basis as well as throw adoption events. I work remotely from home so my schedule is always flexible to meet the needs of anyones fur babies. I have a normal Monday through Friday 8-4:30 but am able to assist through my shift. I do not have a fenced yard but I am extremely close to very nice walking trails. I live right next to the beach as well.

About: I love animals and will treat yours like my own! We will play and walk and have fun together! I can accommodate special needs as well . We have a doggy door so your pet can go in our large fenced in yard as he or she pleases. We walk every afternoon in our neighborhood. If you prefer your dog crated, that works as well. I have 2 friendly dogs. Your dog can be crated at your request, otherwise he or she is free to roam as long as friendly and house trained.

About: I have always been the one everyone goes to for animal care. Animals are driven to me. And when I come into somebody's home, the animals always sit with me or love up on me. I know how to take care of a variety of animals from dogs, cats, exotic animals, too farm animals. I have started watching pets on my own and have nothing but great reviews. I work for myself and I need a flexible schedule, as my son is autistic. He loves having animals around as well. I am a single mom and I love the fact that I can teach my son the appreciation for animals and what they bring into the home. When I am able to care for your pet in my home, they are able to socialize with my dog is well. He is very active. He is a lab pit mix. He is friendly and never had any issue with any other kind of animals. Your pet will also have more one on one care. When i do check ups at your home I'm only there for a short time and tend to get anxiety from being alone too long.

About: From fur to feathers & scales I’ve cared for all kinds of animals for 10 years. I am experienced with administering medications (topical, pills, drops, etc).I know how stressful it can be to leave a pet(s) behind, but have no fear this animal lover will care for them until your return! I am currently stay at home, so I am available during the day, weekends, and night time if needed. I can work with your routine if your pet has a set schedule. I have a fenced yard, and 2 friendly pups if your pet likes to socialize. If your pet prefers to be alone I can schedule individual yard time for them. I do have a separate room for those that prefer to be crated or are not use to free roaming. If pets prefer to stay at their homes I can keep them company for however long they require, along with making sure their needs are taken care of (food, water, potty time, playtime).

About: 20 years working in the veterinary industry including 10 years at NCSU Vet school and developed years of experience performing physical assesments and basic/advanced interventions for emergencies in a clinical setting. I work full time from home now (veterinary diagnostics) with a bluetick coonhound and a cat as my assistants. Both animals are very friendly towards people and other animals. Buck would love to have a playmate throughout the day. I already entertain my hound during the day while I work remote. We have a fenced in back yard and I take him on frequent walks. His routine is to play in the yard and then sleep in the bed in the office, then repeat throughout the day. I don't let my dog out of the fence off leash or give him anything that can potentially become a foriegn body and/or is toxic to dogs. Buck rips toys apart but does not eat them.

About: I am a part of a family that has always owned animals. As of right now, we have two dogs, a cat, and five chickens on a large fenced in property. I have raised animals from a few weeks old, up to 27 years of age. Administered medication via mouth and shots, and changed puppy diapers. I am currently at home all the time, and will be able to give your furry loved ones all my attention. Taking care of your pets will be my top priority. Unless given specific instructions, give them nothing but love and attention, feed them, bathe if asked, and make sure they are able to go to the bathroom whenever needed.

About: Hi! I’m new to the area and would love to meet all the neighborhood animals! I recently moved here from Michigan to live with my husband here in the Slocum neighborhood in Havelock North Carolina. Back home I have two puppies, Millie and Ruby and here in North Carolina I have a puppy and kitty named pepper and maple. Back home I have been reliable to take care of my neighbors dog and cat to take care of them by feeding their dog and cat, taking their dog for walks, playing with their dog and cat and making sure their dog goes outside to go potty. I love being a parent to my puppy and kitty and it’s the best part of my day to come home to them 💕🐾🐶🐱 I’m unemployed and currently looking for a job but I’ll be able to take care of your animals during the day throughout the week and at night if needed. I have a fenced in backyard which is where I take out my puppy maple out to go potty. As mentioned before I have kitty named pepper as well. Maple is 6-7 months old and gets along well with other animals and is a very friendly and social dog. I take maple for walks and sometimes for runs often. We do have a pet scorpion as well but he stays in an enclosed glass cage away from the other animals. Pepper has her own room where she sleeps and has a litter box, a cat tree, and a food and water bowl. Both pepper and maple are allowed on the furniture and maple has a dog kennel and two dog beds but she sleeps in our room. And she also has a food and water bowl in the kitchen area. There are plenty of toys for the animals to play with but you are welcome to bring your own toys as well. I would also like to add that there will be no additional caretakers and it’ll just be me.

About: Hello, my name is Tianna and I’m 28. I’ve been a huge animal lover since I was a child where I’ve brought different animals home to take care of such as kitties, turtles, and even a peacock! I’ve fostered and owned a variety of dogs from lap dogs to larger breeds. I have 4 dogs of my own and another 5 that reside back in Texas with my family. 2 are seniors so senior dogs have a special place in my heart! I currently work at a fitness studio where I’m gone for 2-3 hours max a day but can schedule around to accommodate to you and your pets needs! I have a smoke free home where your pets can lounge on the sofa and bed :) I have a small fenced yard and 4 small dogs who are crate trained so they can be put away to keep your dog comfortable and safe if needed. **My pets are currently back in Texas**

About: I’ve worked with all animal types, from ones with fur, scales and shells. Very patient when it comes to teaching skills to young animals. Will happily take your fur children on any walks or adventures, or to stay in and give lots of loves. I am a morning person, willing to do overnights, early morning check-ins or walks. My weekends are usually open, I am very accommodating and flexible with making plans to fit everyone’s convenience. I think it’s important to acknowledge that every home and household are different, and should be treated with patience and respect. Communication is always important, and you’ll definitely receive lots of updates and pictures of your fur children during our time together!

About: I will provide personal care for your pet.I love all animals and have always had a dog since the age of 5 when my dad brought home Cricket my first puppy.I consider them my 4 legged babies.I will spoil them and love them until they return safely back to you.I currently have a 5 year old medium size dog her name is Ethel. About: I am currently an elementary school teacher who also loves being around animals:) I have grown up with dogs my whole life. While in college I rescued my now 3 year old beautiful Rue who has made life the absolute best! I look forward to spending time with your amazing pets. I am currently an elementary school teacher, so I have my summers off and a clear schedule to be able to care for your pets. I have a nice backyard for your dogs to play in as well as 2 young dogs to keep your dog company. A three year old terrier mix and a one and a half year old yellow lab! Both are friendly as can be and love playing with all dogs.

“Anya and Jason gave us great peace of mind taking care of our small, elderly dog for the day. We live in GA and were visiting family in NC. We all wanted to go to the Cape Lookout but I felt uncomfortable leaving my small, elderly dog in a small travel trailer two and a half hours away from the coast and worrying if the power and A/C would stay on (in the middle of July). Anya was perfect for my situation-no large dogs to unintentionally intimidate my chihuahua and also she doesn’t do well with very young children. Koko was with Anya and her family for 10 hours and I was able to enjoy my time with my family knowing Koko was in good hands -that she would be taken out for potty breaks, have her treats and supper, and be well cared for. Anya and Jason even gave us suggestions of places to eat locally. Koko was not stressed when we picked her up and in turn, I was not stressed either. Thank you Anya!”

About: I’ve been taking care of animals, my own and those of friends and neighbors, since I was 10. I’m familiar with animals of all shapes and sizes - dogs, cats, reptiles, birds, rodents, horses, etc. I’m also knowledgeable and comfortable with pregnant animals, mamas with babies, timid animals, administering medications, and doggy diapers. I volunteer as a foster with a local rescue where I've come to learn a variety of helpful techniques for successful meet and greets and positive decompression strategies, among other skills. I’m currently working towards a bachelor’s degree in wildlife conservation online, so I’m home the majority of the day, with a very flexible schedule. I’m a very active person who loves interacting with animals, whether on an outdoorsy walk or tossing the ball. I have chicken wire fencing in my yard so as long as your dog isn’t an escape artist I’ve got a secure space to roam. I have two Boston Terriers who are extremely dog and cat friendly, as they are used to the fosters I take in. They are also friendly with our bearded dragon and the rats we used to own.

About: I've owned and sat for a variety of animals from lizards and snakes to dogs, cats, and rats. I love them all! My family also breeds German Shepherds so I am experienced in all lifestages, from pregnancy to old age. I am comfortable with providing medicine in pill, shot, and liquid forms. I am very flexible with my availability. I work remotely from my home so I'm able to give your loved one as much attention as they need! I own a townhouse with a privacy fenced yard. Our community also has a dog park, as well as lots of safe areas for walks.
