“This was the first time I’ve had to leave my dog with a pet sitter and Tina put all my worries at ease! Loved the pictures she sent, and little recaps about how my girl was doing each day. I was worried as my dog is older and has some quirks in her that made me nervous to leave her but seemed like everything worked out well and there were no issues! So grateful for Tina and her compassion to make my dogs stay be easy and stress free.”

“Michael and family were great! He was very responsive and checked in every day. You could tell he cared for my fur baby and took great care of her. He listened to her routine and also spoiled her with lots of snuggles and attention. I’m not sure she actually wanted to come home! I would 100% recommend Michael- and I will be sending my fur baby to daycare camp with him again!”

“Penny is awesome dog sitter. Very responsible, attentive to our dog's needs, sent pictures every day and personable. Penny keeped a log on Molly. When we came to pick her up, she gave us a "report card". I was tickled to see Penny's review.”

“Michael and Loraine took great care of Jax, our Bichpoo. You can tell they have had dogs and are true dog lovers. Jax took to them right away, thanks to their loving manner and welcoming warmth. We’re already booked for our next trip!”

“Dani and Austin took such great care of our girls! Layla is also a great dog and got along really well with our two labs. We will definitely send our girls here again ? thank you guys!!”

“Liceth was fantastic again! She takes wonderful care of my Enzo, with great pictures and plenty of exercise. I have loved her watching him, and appreciate her very much!! Thanks again!!! Wonderful sitter!”

“One of our neighbors recommended Grace to us when our regular sitter stopped boarding. Our dog is very shy and introverted when it comes to people she doesn’t know, and she took to Grace really well. We will definitely book with her again!”
“We have NEVER had a better experience for doggy care. Manu & Dhruv are the BEST. Coco was relaxed & happy when we got home. No signs of any stress! Thank you so much!”

“Great communication and super accommodating with both of our doggies…they are anxious dogs and warmed up to her very quickly! They loved her back yard too…plenty of space to run and play!”
“Had a great experience with Meagen watching our dog for a night. From the video she sent he appeared to settle in quickly and had a good time with the other dogs - there are lots of playmates! Meagan has a great, safe space for dogs to roam and play. When I picked him up he was happy and well-cared for. Would recommend and use Meagen again!”

“Maui and Tucker had the best time staying with Brandi! They were well taken care of, got lots of walks, and we got great updates and photos. Would absolutely recommend and will be booking again in the future!”

“Tim and his family were great for our dog. He stayed with them for 5 days. Tim was good about communicating as we were setting up a meet and greet and also while he watched our dog. We weren't sure how our dog would get along with his 2 dogs, but his dogs were very friendly and sweet. We had no worries about them getting along. His whole family came out to meet our dog at the meet and greet. They were all very nice and you could tell they all like dogs. Our dog came back to us happy and healthy. I would recommend Tim and plan to schedule with him in the future.”

“Mollie provided a home away from home for my dog. I received lots of photos and communication during his stay and they were sad to see him leave at the end. I’ll definitely be requesting a stay with her again!”

“Natalie and her family accommodated us for a last minute boarding for our Cavapoo. We appreciated the pictures and excellent communication. We will definitely book with Natalie again.”

“I just want to eternally thank Cassandra for taking care of my boy as if he were me in such a short time. She made me feel very safe and comfortable on my vacation without having to think so much, but thanks to her I was very comfortable during these days away from my baby. Thank you so much and I recommend her with my eyes closed. She is very good at what she does 👏”

“This was the first time I left My young Frenchie with anyone and I was very nervous. Aaron was interested in getting to know her before the trip and he was organized and communicative. When I picked her up she was comfortable there and she was fine! I will 100% leave her with Aaron again. Very thankful to find someone who cares a lot about taking care of her.”

“Samuel is THE best!! I mistakenly booked the wrong return date for in-house dog sitting. Our pick up time was early because we took a redeye flight - so I’m sure he got up early to find I didn’t show. Samuel Rolled with the punches and I just booked another day. Oliver is always happy to visit Samuel and his dog Olga. It gives me a huge piece of mind that he is happy and well cared for😊”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Elverson
Lisa was fantastic! We contacted her last minute when we were traveling to PA for Thanksgiving and she worked with our crazy requests for dog sitting at the last minute. She even allowed us to drop off Knox at 5:30am! She was sweet and sent us update during the day. I would highly recommend her and would use her again when we come back to the area.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in PA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
