About: Since my children were young we have always had a dog in the home. Prior to their births we owned a cat but our youngest was allergic. Now as a retired teacher I spend my days with my dogs and helping when needed to watch grandkids, grand dogs and grand kittens. I am looking to help out with your pet as I know how important they are to your family and home. About: Hey there! My name is Emily and I am a recent grad who has moved back to the area. I have always been an animal lover, and during grad school, I was able to broaden my animal care experiences! I am a dog mom to a German Shepherd named Gemma. She is a rescue and dog-reactive (but loves all people!), so I have extensive experience with walking and handling reactive dogs! Rest assured, when I care for your pets, Gemma will NOT be present. I was an avid foster and volunteer while in grad school for organizations such as Big Paws of the Ozarks, Fayetteville Animal Services, and Best Friends Resource Center. We have had fosters of a variety of ages and breeds. Additionally, I spent most of my Saturdays at the local farmers market with an adoptable shelter pup working on socialization and leash skills with fellow volunteers. About: I am the ultimate pet lover! I grew up with fish, a hamster, a rabbit, and dogs. In 2008, I adopted 3 puppies of my parents’ dog. They were my kids and my pride and joy! My last pup passed away in January 2024, 2 months shy of his 16th birthday. About: What sets me apart from other sitters is, my enthusiasm to get all of your animals outside having as much fun as we possibly can! I have been taking care of my own dogs for the past 4 years. Including giving medication, nail trimmings and everything else that comes along with being a pet parent!
