As a lifelong animal lover with more than 25 years of hands-on experience caring for dogs, horses, emus, chickens, and even a feral cat colony, I understand that every animal deserves patience, compassion, and individualized care. My goal is simple: to provide a safe, loving, and enriching environment where your dog or cat can relax, play, and feel at home while you're away. Located on three beautiful acres in Aromas, California, my property offers a peaceful park-like setting with plenty of room to explore safely. Safety is my highest priority, and dogs are never left unattended outdoors. Every guest receives attentive supervision, plenty of exercise, and lots of affection throughout the day. Your dog's stay may include walks, nature hikes, supervised outdoor play, enrichment activities, cuddle time, and, for suitable dogs, adventures to local beaches and trails. Whether your dog is energetic and playful or prefers a quiet place to relax, I tailor care to their individual personality and needs. Inside, dogs and cats enjoy a spacious 2,800-square-foot home where they are welcomed as members of the family. They can lounge on comfortable furniture, sleep on the bed if permitted by their owners, or rest in their own crate if that is their normal routine. I share my home with my gentle 11-year-old pit bull, who gets along well with dogs, cats, and the farm animals on the property. Because I value safety and positive experiences for every guest, I carefully evaluate compatibility and strive to create a calm, stress-free environment. When your dog stays with me, they're not staying in a kennel—they're joining a home filled with love, experience, and genuine respect for animals. My goal is for both you and your dog to enjoy complete peace of mind, knowing your family member is safe, happy, and cared for as if they were my own. I look forward to meeting you and your dog or cat. I'm semi-retired and take advantage of our beautiful central coast daily, either walking, hiking, or playing on the beach. We start our day in the morning with a nice sniff, play, or zoomie time on the property. After breakfast we'll do a walk on the beach, a hike (depending on your pet) or playtime on the property. My dog is getting older so he's usually good for about 3 miles and can't really do strenuous hikes. He loves the beach so we also take a late morning beach walk. Aromas also has a lovely dog park now, so if your pup is social that's a fun place to go. For more athletic dogs, there are some incredible hiking trails in this area. Afternoon chores start normally around 5, when I walk the property and feed and check on my goats and emus. This is more play time for your fur baby, as we watch the sunset and settle in for the night. Where does your pet sleep? They are welcome on the furniture or my bed. I also have extra dog beds for those pets who like their space. I have a completely fenced yard with plenty of space to roam. With the exception of a couple of 2-3 hour windows 2 to 3 days per week, your pet is never alone. I do have stairs so if your pet needs help going up and down, I will block the stairs so there are no accidents.

I have transportation as required, and can stay the night easily. I will care for your animal however you would care for them if you were home. I have no problem administering medication, taking them on walks, cleaning up after them, etc. I have cared for a multitude of species (including wildlife!) so I am capable of handling situations.

About: I have had dogs all my life and a good pup brings me joy. I have 1 dogs of my own that I love to take on long walks, hiking, and to the beach. I would love to share those experiences with your loved ones aka dogs!! I know we live in busy world and sometimes we need just a little help keeping the pups happy, please let me help so you don't have feel guilty for not taking your buddy out. A few things your dogs will experience while in my care are attention, love, affection, and of course some treats if you will allow. I am a very out going person and your pups will be in good hands. I am here to help. I have a flexible schedule that allows me to care for your pets to take on walks and more. I am available on weekends and weekdays. About: Hello! I’ve spent years taking care of pets of my own, as well as for friends, neighbors, on Rover and Trusted Housesitters. I’ve looked after big and small dogs, cats, bunnies, fish, and kids of all ages. I really love being around animals and getting to know their different personalities. They always bring so much joy and fun energy. I take caring for other people’s pets as a big responsibility and always want them to feel safe, happy, and loved while their owners are away. My past references have said kind things about my reliability, communication, and the care I give to their pets, which means a lot to me. I’m always happy to send photo or video updates so you can see how your pets are doing. I know how much peace of mind that can bring. I’d love the chance to meet your pets and make sure they’re well taken care of while you’re gone. 🐾 I am generally available Sat-Sun, and on weekdays after 4:30pm. Currently, I work at an elementary school from 8-4:30pm Mon-Fri every week. Outside of my work hours, my availability is very flexible. My services include drop-ins and in-home care such as feeding, walking, and brushing pets, but I’m also happy to help with any other needs to keep them comfortable and happy.
