Took good care of my baby boy while I had to be away, and he was immediately very comfortable with them, which made me feel good and less anxious about having to leave him home. I’ll definitely use Jenni’s services again in the future.

About: I've been caring for dogs for about 8 years and have experience with dogs of all ages, sizes, and personalities. Every dog I've owned has been a rescue, so I've learned the importance of patience, building trust, and helping dogs feel safe and comfortable in new environments. I cared for my Border Collie/Husky mix from through his senior years, giving me experience with the changing needs of aging dogs. I also currently have a 75-pound Pit Bull mix back home, so I'm comfortable handling larger, high-energy breeds as well. What sets me apart is my calm, patient approach. I understand that every dog is different, and I take the time to get to know each pet so they feel secure, happy, and well cared for while you're away. Pet care fits well into my routine. I'm currently completing a chemical engineering internship Monday through Friday from 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM, so I'm available before work, in the evenings, and on most weekends for walks, drop-in visits, and pet care. During the fall and spring semesters, I'm a full-time college student, so my schedule varies each semester. However, I'm good at planning ahead and keeping my availability up to date so I can provide reliable care and clear communication. Every pet and home is different, so I always take the time to learn each owner's preferences and follow their routines and house rules closely. In my own home, I generally don't allow dogs on furniture, but I'm happy to maintain whatever rules and training standards a pet is used to in their owner's home. Safety is my top priority. I make sure pets have access to fresh water, receive plenty of attention and exercise, and are always supervised appropriately. I also pay close attention to their behavior and comfort level, especially when caring for pets in a new environment. I treat every home with respect and strive to provide dependable, trustworthy care so both pets and owners feel comfortable and at ease.

About: I have taken care of many animals and give the best care I can while sharing pictures and updates to the owner. I can work with food motivated animals to do simple tricks. I am starting college shortly but I still will dedicate as much time as I can to taking care of animals. Breaks and days I don't have classes will be for anyone needing pet care! I have a car and can go to clients' houses and take care of their pets, as I have done often for friends and neighbors. I have a partially fenced yard for leashed play. I am in a house under construction but the top floor is finished and houses my two kittens. Calmer dogs would be better if coming into my house, otherwise I am able to care for any size or personality in the owners house.

About: I have years of hands-on experience caring for animals and have had four dogs of my own. I currently have two 8-month-old German Shepherd siblings, so I’m very comfortable with high-energy dogs, puppy behavior, playtime, exercise, and maintaining a consistent routine. I’m also comfortable caring for senior pets and administering medications when needed. I work from home, which allows me to provide plenty of supervision, attention, potty breaks, and companionship throughout the day. I have a fenced-in yard, a crate, and a pool for dogs who enjoy swimming. My experience also includes caring for guinea pigs, ducks, and chickens, so I’m comfortable with a variety of pets and their individual needs. My goal is to make every pet feel safe, loved, and comfortable while they’re in my care. I work from home, so pet care fits naturally into my daily routine and allows me to provide plenty of attention and supervision throughout the day. I can accommodate regular potty breaks, walks, playtime, meals, and downtime based on your pet’s normal routine. I’m happy to work with you on your pet’s schedule and keep their routine as consistent as possible while they’re in my care. My home has a fully fenced yard where dogs can safely enjoy outdoor time, play, and potty breaks. I also have a crate available for dogs who are crate-trained or prefer their own comfortable space. I currently have two friendly, high-energy 8-month-old German Shepherds, so I understand the importance of supervised introductions and making sure every dog feels comfortable in a new environment. Because my home is located along a main highway, I want to be transparent that dogs who are frequent escape artists or known to climb, dig, or jump fences may not be the best fit for my home. Safety is my top priority, and I want every pet I care for to be secure, comfortable, and well supervised.

Lacey was amazing. My dogs felt loved and was given the space they needed to play, cuddle, and or stand back and observe. She followed all my instructions and even stayed longer than she had to just to make sure my babies were okay. I cannot express the gratitude I feel. It was very scary leaving my babies in the care of a stranger, but they loved Lacey and she truly treated them as her own.

About: I’ve spent years caring for and training dogs, including raising and training four Australian Cattle Dogs—a breed known for its intelligence and high energy. Through that experience, I’ve learned how to read canine body language, reinforce good behaviors, and confidently handle dogs with different personalities and energy levels. I’ve also walked dogs for several of my mom’s clients throughout the Hockessin and Wilmington area. My focus is on providing safe, reliable, and personalized care while treating every dog as if they were my own. I’m currently home full-time, allowing me to provide attentive, personalized care throughout the day. Dogs in my care receive plenty of potty breaks, exercise, playtime, enrichment, affection, and supervision rather than being left alone for long periods. Your dog will be welcomed into a safe, loving home and treated like one of my own. I have a fully fenced 0.5-acre yard with plenty of room to run, play, and explore under supervision, as well as three friendly, well-socialized dogs for those who enjoy canine companionship. I also do my best to maintain each dog’s normal routine, including feeding schedules, medications, exercise, and any special instructions you provide. My goal is simple: for you to have peace of mind while you’re away and for your dog to feel safe, happy, and loved while they’re with me. I’m a Registered Nurse with a background in cardiac care and high-stress open-heart surgery, where being dependable, attentive, calm under pressure, and detail-oriented was essential every single day. After years of caring for my patients’ hearts, I’ve now been able to channel that same compassion into one of my greatest passions—dogs. I like to think I’ve gone from caring for my patients’ hearts to caring for my clients’ whole hearts—their dogs. ❤️🐾 My nursing background has shaped the way I care for animals. I take safety seriously, pay close attention to changes in behavior or well-being, follow instructions carefully, and understand the importance of medications and routines. Most importantly, I want owners to know they are leaving their dog with someone who is responsible, reliable, professional, and genuinely invested in their care.

About: I’ve been raised around dogs my entire life. My family has had all kinds of dogs; big and small, old and young, energetic and couch potatoes. Friends and family alike call me a dog whisperer for the connections I’m able to make with them. I’m currently finishing my Bachelors of Accounting completely online, so my schedule is completely flexible around your pets needs!! I’m excited to provide the best care possible for your pet!! I’m comfortable walking dogs, crating dogs, feeding dogs, checking all essential needs before leaving them alone, and making sure they are let out plenty of times.

I recently had the pleasure of working with Briana, and I couldn't be happier with the experience! From our first interaction, it was clear that she had a genuine love for animals and a deep understanding of dog care. Briana took the time to get to know my dogs' personalities, habits, and specific needs, which put me at ease right away. During the time I was away, she provided regular updates and adorable photos, which reassured me that my pups were in great hands. Thank you Briana

About: Hi! My name is Shawna, and I’m an animal lover! 🐾 I have a dog named Neeko who loves making new friends, and a cat named Fat Tee who keeps us entertained. I understand that pets are family, and I will do my best to make sure your fur babies are happy, comfortable, and cared for as if they were my own! ❤️🐶🐱 I work full-time during the school year but am available evenings, weekends, holidays, and throughout the summer. About: Pet lover ready to provide your pets with all of the needs and love they need! I have been dog sitting consistently for the past 4 years and have my own two kitties since then as well! I have taken care of horses, fish, snakes. Etc! Depending on the location I can care for pets during the week and make sure they get their potty needs out of the way during lunch time and once I am done at work. Afternoons and weekends are also super doable! My cats are indoor kitties and are only allowed on the deck, however I will care for the owners pets as they would like me to care for them. Some dogs are better cared for on a leash others are free to roam and others have fences! That all depends on the pet owner but I will respect whatever they choose.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

While Rover doesn’t offer traditional subscription services, some sitters offer recurring bookings for services like home visits and dog walking. Recurring services come with their own perks, such as flexibility to modify services (up to five weeks in advance), automatic billing, Rover Card updates, and same-day cancellations.

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
