About: I’ve had hands-on experience caring for pets for years, including raising my own dog since he was a puppy. I’m very involved in his daily care, including feeding, walks, routines, giving lots of attention, and helping manage medical needs when needed. Because of this, I understand how important patience, consistency, and trust are when caring for someone’s pet. I’m also very comfortable with cats and enjoy spending time with different personalities, whether they’re playful, shy, energetic, or need extra comfort and care. I’ll always treat pets like family and make sure they feel safe, loved, and well cared for while you’re away. I recently graduated high school and will be starting college soon, so I have a very open and flexible schedule this summer! I do work part-time, but outside of my work schedule I’m available most days and have plenty of time to give pets attention, playtime, walks, and companionship. Since I don’t have many major summer plans, I’m happy to be flexible and work around your pet’s needs and routine. Since I will be caring for pets in their own home, my goal is to help them feel as comfortable, safe, and stress-free as possible by sticking to their normal routine. I’m very attentive to instructions and will make sure your pet gets the care, attention, exercise, feeding, potty breaks, and affection they need while you’re away. I also have hands-on experience with crate training through my own dog, who is crate trained and comfortably sleeps in his crate when prompted. I understand the importance of patience, routine, and making pets feel secure in their environment. I will always treat your home and pets with respect and care as if they were my own.

About: I’ve been surrounded by animals my entire life and truly can’t imagine a home without them. Growing up, I cared for pets of all kinds, which helped me become comfortable and confident with different breeds, sizes, and temperaments. As an adult, I’ve continued that passion by owning and caring for my own pets, giving me hands-on experience with daily routines, training basics, and recognizing each animal’s unique needs. In addition to my own pets, I’ve regularly cared for the pets of family and friends, whether it’s walking, feeding, administering basic care, or just making sure they feel loved and comfortable while their owners are away. I understand how important it is to trust someone with your pet, and I treat every animal as if they were my own, with patience, attention, and lots of affection. I am a school teacher, so I am available after school (4 pm or later) and on weekends. I’m also available all day during the week on days I have off and during the summer. I would love to care for your pet in the place they are most comfortable - their own home! And I will take them for walks in their neighborhood, with all the sights and smells they are used to!

About: I've grown up with large dogs, cats, and chickens my entire life. I started dog sitting in high school for friends and family, which inspired me to pursue veterinary science. While applying to vet schools, I always love to take care of your critters and remind myself who I'm doing it for! I'm currently applying to veterinary school and freelance shadowing at different clinics in the area, so I'll have lots of time to entertain your pets! Because of this, my availability varies week-to-week, so please check my calendar. In addition to my fair share of scratches and bites growing up, working in wild animal rehabilitation has made me confident with strong, harder-to-handle animals, and I'm confident I can keep your dogs and cats entertained when they get a little hyper, and I can calm them down when it's time for a nap!

About: I’ve spent my entire life living with cats and caring for them. I also spent last year living with a service dog in training and caring for him I currently have an internship at UD throughout the summer. I am available both before work and after work to care for pets. I can provide walking, feeding, playing, and just company for animals. About: Animals are Gods among us. I agree with Ricky Gervais, that "a dog loves you more than it loves itself, and that's why I worship dogs." Honestly, this gig is a bit selfish - my sweet baby Pit Mix passed away recently & I miss her terribly. I'm certain that engaging with animals will soothe this depression. I am socially awkward with humans, but I love animals. This will be therapy, a true gift, to me. I also need to exercise more and would like to be able to afford any kind of home, some day. My family has had pets since I was in kindergarten. I volunteered with Faithful Friends in High School, through which I also fostered kittens. I have taken care of my neighbors' & friends' pets while away over the years, which I equate to a collective total of ~2 years. I take medical issues very seriously & cared for my doll when she was ill. I understand how stressful & important it is. My favorite thing about walking a dog is when the folded tops of their ears bounce up and down. I work full time until ~4:30PM, but I am usually free after. I am available for boarding on the weekends. On the days I work from home (typically Monday & Wednesday), I can also provide a walk or check in during my lunch hour (1 to 2PM). There are no other animals or children in my home; your pet will have my undivided attention. I have a large partially fenced in yard, and many walking trails nearby. I'm also happy to take care of a pet in your home, if preferred.

About: I’m a true dog enthusiast who was the primary caregiver for my German Shepherd, Jax, for almost 9 years until he passed away last year. During that time, I handled every aspect of his daily life—long walks in any weather, scheduled feeding, plenty of play and exercise (he loved fetch!), grooming, basic training, vet appointments, and showering him with affection. Jax was a big, energetic boy with a strong personality, so I’m very comfortable managing high-energy breeds, leash pulling, setting boundaries, and keeping routines consistent for a happy, well-behaved dog. About: I have taken care of neighbors’ and grandparents’ dogs as well as my own. I love dogs more than most people and would do anything to protect them and keep them happy. As a college student away from my fur babies at home, this fits perfectly into my schedule. I have a lot of time on my hands until I start grad school this summer! I will just be taking the fur babies for walks as I am in an apartment that unfortunately does not allow pups. I will use safe paths or neighborhoods as well as any parks or fields that allow us!

About: My love for animals of all kinds began in 6th grade and has only become more expansive as I have continued to care for the pets of my friends and neighbors. My senior dog is almost 18 years young so I am well versed in going above and beyond! As an educator my timing is flexible, especially for summer! I am looking to help families as another Rover.com pet sitter helped us with our senior dog. I will work with your dog's needs so that you are comfortable leaving and know that I am dedicated to keeping your pet happy and healthy. You will enjoy that I will give your dog/dogs my full attention.I will give them tons of loving pets and hugs as well as play with them until they want to quit! I will also clean up after them after they go to the bathroom. In addition, I can feed them and fill up their water bowls. Anything your dogs need I will try to provide. About: I’ve been taking care of pets since I was young. Growing up with new foster puppies every week, I learned how to house-train young puppies and keep them out of trouble. I love spending time with pets and have really enjoyed pet sitting for friends and family! I just graduated from NC State University this May and am taking this summer off from work before beginning my PhD program this fall.
