About: I’ve been around pets my whole life, especially dogs. Some as small as my mom‘s Chihuahua, to dogs as big as my sister‘s great mastiffs. Ive cared for all types of pets and would love to meet many more! Recently I’ve started working part time but I’m open to work around that! I try to be as flexible as I can. If you’d like me to drop in to feed, walk, or watch your pet, I’ll be available. Whatever type of routine your pets have I’m down to follow it. Lots of pets I’ve worked with have specific eating routines, as well as walking routines, I’m here to learn what works best for you.

About: I’ve been caring for animals for many years and have always had a passion for pets. I’ve owned two dogs and currently have two cats, so I understand the love, patience, and responsibility that come with caring for animals every day. Friends, family, and neighbors have trusted me to care for their pets by feeding them, giving fresh water, taking dogs on walks, cleaning litter boxes, playing with them, and making sure they feel safe and comfortable while their owners are away. I know that every pet has a different personality, and I enjoy taking the time to make them feel happy and cared for. Whether your pet loves to play, go on walks, or just wants someone to keep them company, I’ll treat them like they’re my own. My goal is to give you peace of mind knowing your pet is in loving, dependable hands. I’m currently a student at the University of Central Florida and attend classes in person two days a week. I also work remotely, which gives me a flexible schedule and allows me to care for pets throughout the day. I live in New Smyrna Beach and can provide reliable drop-in visits, walks, and overnight care while making sure your pet gets plenty of attention, exercise, and companionship. Your pet’s safety and comfort are always my top priorities. I take the time to learn each pet’s routine and follow your care instructions carefully, including feeding schedules, medications, exercise, and any special needs. I’ll treat your home with respect and your pet like one of my own. I’m happy to provide regular updates and photos so you can have peace of mind while you’re away.

Carol took great care of my three dogs and cat, and took on the job very last minute! She took the extra step to take them to a park because the concrete was probably too hot to walk them around my direct neighborhood. She even made each pup an adorable bandana! We consider ourselves very lucky to be one of her clients.

Born and raised in Daytona it has given me a laid back attitude and calm presence when it comes to handling animals of any personality, size, and shape. I work for the City during weekdays from 7am to 3:30pm. With a lunch break at 11am. I can easily let out, feed, and clean before work. Check in at lunch, and be ready for dinner with no problems. I make sure my pets are fed, walked, and loved at least twice a day. With so much time after work ends it is very easily within my ability to walk, feed, and clean up after any pets that need my service.

Reyna watched our 4 dogs during July 4th weekend. She was on time each visit and took great care of our 4 pups. She fed them, took them out and played with them and made sure they got all their energy out before she left. She even stayed extra time one night while fireworks were going off in our neighborhood. 2 of our dogs get high anxiety with loud noises. She called and let me know the situation and stayed longer until both dogs were calm. Our puppy also lost a puppy tooth while she was there and she called to let me know about it. Reyna is super sweet, responsible and communicates well during her visits. We actually just booked her again for overnight stays while we’re out of town coming up. We are very thankful we found Reyna. Our pups love her and we appreciate her love for dogs and how responsible she is during her time with our fur babies.

About: Hi! My name is Sarah, and if you spoke to anyone who's ever known me, the first thing they would probably tell you is that I love animals. I currently have four kitties who I absolutely adore — all of them are rescued. I love all dogs as well and I have a big soft spot for pits and chihuahuas. I also have had fish, ducks, chickens, geese, cows, and guinea pigs! I truly love them all. I can do dog walking and dog/cat/farm/other type of pet drop-ins. I have no breed or size preferences! I am comfortable around all dogs and can handle all sizes well including various demeanors and behavioral challenges or special needs. I would honestly love the chance to get to know your animals and be someone who you trust to care for them when you are away. Please don't hesitate to message me if you are interested! :) I currently work during the daytime but I am able to fill in while you’re gone by letting them outside To go to the bathroom and feeding / caring for them before and after work. I am very aware of my demeanor with new animals to make sure they feel safe and comfortable with me. I want them to trust me and be happy whenever I come by to take care of them.

Brianne was amazing with our chaotic, nutty furry bunch! We left her with our trio of cats and the dynamic duo of dogs, for a total of five. The first thing we noticed was how all of our furry ones were drawn to her. Animals just know if a person is good. Being away is hard, but it feels better when you have someone you can trust to love you while you're gone. My wife and I had complete peace of mind with her caring for our babies. Brianne is the BEST!

About: For your pet-sitting profile, I’d make it warm, trustworthy, and highlight your experience. Since you have 5 years of pet care experience, you could use: Headline ideas: * 🐾 Experienced & Loving Pet Sitter You Can Trust * Caring Pet Sitter With 5+ Years of Experience * Your Pets’ New Favorite Sitter 🐶🐱 * Reliable, Loving & Experienced Pet Care For the Pet care experience section, I’d recommend something like: I have 5 years of experience caring for pets of all ages and personalities, including dogs, cats, puppies, and senior pets. I’m comfortable with feeding, walks, playtime, potty breaks, medication, and keeping pets on their normal routines. I treat every pet like my own and always make sure they feel safe, comfortable, and loved while their owners are away. I currently work part-time, which gives me a flexible schedule for pet care. I’m generally available in the mornings, late afternoons, and evenings for check-ins, walks, feeding, and playtime. I’m happy to work with you to find times that fit your pet’s routine and needs. I’m available to board pets in my home, which has a large fenced-in backyard. I do however have a friendly six-year-old dog. I do require that all pets boarding in my home are housebroken. I’m also more than happy to care for pets in their own home and can provide overnight house sitting, regular check-ins, walks, feeding, and playtime. My goal is to make sure every pet feels safe, comfortable, and well cared for.

FAQs for House Sitting - Eldora

Frequently asked questions about Rover

As of August 2026, there are 766 sitters on Rover offering House Sitting across Eldora. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:

  • Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
  • Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
  • Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
  • Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.

The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Eldora walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.

It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Eldora maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:

  • Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
  • Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
  • Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.

Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!

Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Eldora choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.

For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.

Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Eldora. On Rover:

  • 96% of sitters can help with special care needs
  • 96% can help with giving oral medications or injections
  • 98% can help with daily exercise

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
