About: I have grown up in a household with dogs, mainly the medium to large sized breeds. I have experience with all sizes of dogs though, as I have taken care of a variety of sized dogs for friends, family, and neighbors. I have taken care of cats and dogs when needing medical care - especially giving meds and minor wound care - and also have groomed and walked many types and sizes of dogs. I love making sure the pets are healthy and happy. I have volunteered at an animal shelter to help with the care of animals - providing play time, meds, and grooming of both dogs and cats. I'm currently a full time student at SIUE and I'm in the MFA art studio program. The fall I have 3 in person classes with a mixed schedule. Mondays and Wednesdays are limited as I have a 3 hour morning class and 3 hour evening class, both being studio classes with some cleanup. Please note this as a potential issue due to the limited time for drop ins, walks, and check ins on a house sitting. Tuesdays and Thursdays are better as they just have one class. I will work with you ahead of time if there are any plans I have that will keep me away for longer than 4 hours at a time outside of these times. During house sitting, I can provide food, medicine, play time, walks, and many other services. I also am willing to assist with house related things - bringing in mail, taking trash out for trash pickup, etc - just let me know and we can work it out. For walks and drop ins, my availability is generally flexible outside of classes and will work with you to determine the best time(s) to be there. I can also provide some house related services (like bring in mail and packages) upon request. Please note I do have in person classes at SIUE Monday through Thursday. I am available to help with the pets at the clients home. I can either stay at your place or go home at night, which I can work with you based on your needs and comfort. I have experience with gated and non gated yards (so needing to leash the dog when taking out for the potty), gates for inside the house, and crate training. Often I will have my own leash with me so that if anything happens, I'm prepared. As for walks, I often work with the dog(s) to see what triggers them and avoid as much as possible. I know not all dogs are friendly with other dogs or people so I am aware of my surroundings and provide appropriate distance and avoid people and dogs as best as I can.

“Joy went out of her way to meet our dogs beforehand. She was kind and attentive, she sent photos of our boys while she was there. Will definitely be using her again!!”

About: I’ve always loved animals and have a passion for taking care of them. I have an older dog and a cat at home, so I’m used to giving pets lots of love, attention, and the extra care seniors need. I’ll treat your pets like my own and make sure they feel safe and happy while you’re away. I am currently a full time student at Lewis and Clark Community College so I have plenty of time to care for animals on the side! When I’m caring for pets on walks or in your home, I always make sure they feel comfortable and safe. On walks, I’ll go at their pace, make sure they stay hydrated, and give them plenty of time to sniff and explore. In your home, I’ll stick to their normal routine, give them lots of love and attention, and keep things clean and calm so they feel right at home even while you’re away.

In your home, I will provide the best care for your furry friend. The house will be kept clean and tidy, and if any messes occur, I will ensure everything is spotless before you return. I can either crate your dog or cat, stay the night with them, or keep them company throughout the night—whatever your pet needs. About: Hi, thank you so much for stopping by to read through my profile. I’m stoked to start this journey. I have loved and taken care of friend’s and family’s dogs for years. Big, small, medium, even tempered, wild, mellow, I absolutely love them all. I have a 11 year old black lab, who’s slowed down a lot. She is my everything. She just can’t move like she used to and I find something about raising a dog from a young pup to an aging one, so very special and rewarding. If your dog is fast paced or likes to smell every blade of grass, I’m game. Rain, shine, or snow, I’m available. I’d absolutely appreciate it if you gave me the opportunity to spoil your dog, not just walk. I understand these are your babies. My house is also open with a fenced in back yard and lots of attention and love offered. Let me know what questions or concerns you might have! I work Monday-Friday, I am free in the evenings and off on Thursdays typically. I’m free on most holidays like Thanksgiving(so keep that in mind).** I am free on most weekends. ** Also please note, I’m willing to travel to MO from IL side. My house is open and I have a great fenced in area. Your dog will be spoiled rotten over here. Lots of pets and attention. I also know how important a walk is to a dog, it’s the highlight of their day! We’d make the most of it.

“Kyleen is amazing! Yesterday my dog had an accident in her crate with diarrhea everywhere. Kyleen responded to the situation with compassion and understanding- she even wiped down some of the mess so that it was easier for me to clean up once I got home! I would highly recommend her!”

Edwardsville dog parents share their Rover experiences
Austin really helped out while I was on the mend and could not walk my dog. He was so good with Willow, and he worked with her so she would not pull on the leash, lunge at other dogs on her walks and get accustomed to being around other dogs. He also took the time to explain to me about getting a corrective collar for her. I will definitely contact Austin again if I need dog walking assistance.
