“Catori & Licia were very well taken care by Mary. We came home to happy "Girls." She kept us informed daily. Sent great pictures, which helped with our missing them!!! Enjoyed our stay immensely knowing they were in good care. Mary is dependable & pays attention to detail. Our home was tidy and clean upon our arrival. Thank You Mary!”

“Jessalynn worked miracles with our grumpy Dobby! He calm and quiet presence led to quick acceptance. She even had to deal with meds and did so very successfully. Communication was excellent and we appreciated the pictures and videos. We will definitely be calling her again!”

“Bob did a wonderful job of caring for our old Golden, Sully! He was kind, very well experienced with dogs and open to some special needs we had for Sully. Everyday we got a photo and communication from Bob and as a result we didn’t worry. Bob stayed at our home for the entire visit and our home was as we left it! In addition, he met Sully and us prior to the start which was very reassuring. Once again thank you Bob.”

“Amber did a wonderful job taking care of my wonderful dog Wes and my temperamental cat muffin. I felt they were safe and in good hands with Amber. She took Wes to the park. They had quite a few outings, she really loves animals.”

“Gerardo was great with accepting to puppy sit at short notice. He kept me updated on how they were and contacting me with questions when needed. I’ll be hiring Gerardo again.”

“Katherine is first rate. She goes beyond our expectations to take care of our dog and cat. We could not ask for more. She is professional and more responsible than myself. Thank you Katherine!!!”

“Sydney was awesome. She took great care of our dog and cat, and sent us photos of them eating, playing and sleeping. She also watered our plants, filled the bird feeders outside and checked the mail daily. Our pets loved her, and we plan to have Sydney back again!”

“Averi sat at our home with BooBoo for 4 full days. She did a great job with communication from beginning to end. I would consider using Averi again when the need arises. She left flowers and photographs of her adventures with my Boo”

“Laura H. helped take care of Tito for 3 days, and we are very happy with her service. Tito was very happy when we returned home, which gave us great peace of mind. Laura was reliable, caring, and took excellent care of him. We highly recommend her and would gladly use her services again.”

“Hannah went above and beyond in every way! Not only did she take amazing care of our lab puppies, but she also left our home spotless. She sent regular updates and photos, which meant so much to us while we were away. She was also extremely flexible and accommodating with my husband’s crazy work schedule, which made everything so much easier for us. It’s clear she genuinely loves and cares for the pets she watches. We felt completely at ease knowing they were in such great hands. We will definitely be using Hannah again—highly recommend”

“My kitties adored having Annette here. She clearly loved them up - Clyde followed her everywhere! She tended to my home as if it were her own and enjoyed the pool - as anyone staying here should:-) I would have her back again anytime.”

About: My neighbors and friends of ten+ years have counted on me, and still do, to care for their animals. Over my lifetime, I've cared for reptiles, cats, squirrels and dogs since childhood. I prefer animals over people. They get me. And, I understand them very well. Usually daily activities will include at least one trip to either a dog park where we will spend no less than one hour at play or greeting other dogs or we will visit the Sahuarita Lake Park for no less than a one mile walk around the lake. I also will administer medicine, injections and bandage wounds if necessary. I am used to caring for ailing and senior animals. I provide tender and loving care. I also take time to do daily rooming (combing and brushing) and washing soiled linen and towels. I am good at leaving your home clean or cleaner than when I arrived. I do not have formal training to perform cpr.. I am a home body spending time writing short stories and the next best American novel or meditating. My space is my sanctuary. And, if your pet feels safer in their own environment, I will care for your pet in the environment in which they are accustomed while I protect and respect your privacy. Due to strict HOA anti business rules, I cannot conduct a pet care business out of my home. Otherwise, I would love to care for animals in my home.
“Jackie provided a loving environment for our two “kids”. She loves them and provides for them as she would her own dogs. It was a huge relief to be able to travel out of state and feel relaxed knowing that our dogs were being well cared for. She went above and beyond providing exercise and social opportunities for them. Jackie is a top of the line caregiver!”

“Danielle stayed in my home for 5 days with my 2 dogs and 2 cats. She took great care of them- one of my dogs needed unexpected antibiotics which she just worked into their routine with ease. The house was in perfect order upon my return, my animals happy and healthy. Fantastic job and lots of pictures and feedback! Thank you so much Danielle!”

“Sara is absolute ROCKSTAR. Our Mookie absolutely loves her. He had his 2nd stay with her and we could tell he had a blast. He normally doesn’t eat the most consistent but he did with Sara. We loved all the updates and pictures we got through the stay. Sara always leaves our home like no one stayed there and we will continue to use her for all of Mookie’s stays. As a French bulldog owner it can be very hard to find the right “fit” but we know we have it with Sara!!”

About: Hi, I'm Chanelle! I offer high-level, attentive care rooted in years of professional and volunteer experience. As a Veterinary Technology major at PCC, my life revolves around understanding and advocating for animals. Whether your pet is a high-energy puppy, a senior needing medical support, or a "giant" breed who needs a confident handler, I have the skills to ensure they are safe and happy while you're away. Because I am currently an online student at Pima Community College, my schedule is incredibly flexible and home-based. This is a major benefit for your pets because it means I am physically present in your home for the majority of the day. My priority is maintaining a 'Stress-Free' environment that mirrors your pet's normal routine. Because of my Fear Free certification, I focus on 'low-stress' handling—I never force an interaction and always let your pet approach me at their own pace.
“Lisa was great with my Best Friend and elderly dog. It was a relief to know Lisa was looking after our home and our dog. Everything was cared for and left in immaculate condition when we got back home. I strongly recommend Lisa and her services!!”

Mary, was fantastic. I got daily updates with photos. Ms Cleo, Sami and Fiona were very well cared for and that makes going on vacation a little sweeter knowing that they were in great hands with Mary. I highly recommend her for your pet sitting needs, she was able to make sure Ms Cleo took her twice daily meds.

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred East Sahuarita walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in East Sahuarita maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in East Sahuarita choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
