“I came in from our of town for a family gathering and needed a last minute walker for my dog. Jeffery was great with communicating with me for the last minute need. Was great handling Denise (my 2.5 year old had) and they had a nice hour long stroll around the neighborhood. Would recommend”

About: I’ve owned pets since my daughter was young and brought her first kitten home. I’ve been helping her to walk dogs for a couple years now. I’m retired so my schedule is fairly open. It gets me walking and outside, two things I enjoy. It helps my health and makes me feel good. Happy to walk your dog! Cannot have pets stay at my house as I have a kitty cat of my own. His name is Toby and he’s a real pain in the butt! 😂
About: I used to work at an endangered farm animals petting zoo and took care of the animals every day! I took care of all varieties including goats, sheep, cows, ponies and even emus and camels! I also had 5 dogs in my childhood - two labs, a border collie greyhound mix, a labradoodle and a beagle basset hound. I currently live with a lab and 3 labradoodles and love to take them on hikes and lounge in the sun with them! I am currently taking classes during the week from 8:30am-12:30pm so I have loads of time to take care of your furry friends! I can get walks in as early as you would like and can check in multiple times throughout the day. Having owned and taken care of many pets in my life I know how important they are to you and I will take care of them like they are my own! I love finding any new trails for hiking and walking near me, and love to get outside and let out some energy. I am a pet lover myself and love to run around, play and snuggle with my own pups.
“Ann Marie has been wonderful with our pup. She is kind, professional, and trustworthy. I feel comfortable allowing her into our home. Her updates and photos brighten my day everytime and she is very sweet to our girl.”

“I just met Matt this year and he has been such a great support ! I work really long hours and was hesitant about finding a dog sitter as my dog is really selective with men. From one meet and greet my dog was comfortable with Matt & was friendly right away! Matt has been consistent and is extremely reliable & follows instructions! He makes sure remy is exhausted by the time he’s done and he also makes sure to give her her water breaks while on walks! I’m definitely sticking with Mat as a dog sitter. 🫶🏼 thank you for being there for my sweet girl !”

“Ben has been great with our new puppy! He’s very patient, and was able to take the time to get our puppy to warm up to him. He’s also very punctual and professional. We’ll defiantly be using Ben in the future!”

“Blaise is a top-notch dog person who is very passionate about the animals he works with. Highly recommended, I had a difficult time finding the right fit for Bosco but that search ended with Blaise!”

“Brian has been great with Barney and our family. Barney is a particular type of dog that needs someone who understands his personality. This Brian has done. He also has been available on short notice and keep all his appointments and has been great at communicating his future availability. As well he is very pleasant to work with. Thanks Brian!”

“We love Colin! He takes such amazing care of my puppy Vincent and my dad said he is always so impressed at how patient and kind he is even when the puppy attitude comes out. Thank you Colin!”

About: Animals have always been part of my life. I’ve raised five dogs from puppyhood and have worked with many breeds, ages, and personalities. I also have experience caring for cats, reptiles, and small mammals, making me a reliable choice for families with diverse pets who need patient, knowledgeable support. I offer fully open availability, providing flexible, reliable care whenever your pets need support. My schedule is built around consistency and convenience for pet parents, and every visit reflects my commitment to animal welfare. As I grow my business, I’m also working toward my long‑term dream of opening a multi‑species rescue to help even more animals thrive. I care for pets in the way that keeps them happiest and most comfortable. In your home, I follow your routines exactly—feeding, walks, playtime, enrichment, medication, and any house rules your pet already knows—so their day feels familiar and stress‑free. In my home, pets enjoy a safe, supervised environment with structured potty breaks, cozy rest areas, and plenty of attention. Whether it’s walks, drop‑ins, boarding, or overnights, I make sure every pet gets individualized care, consistent communication, and a calm, loving experience.
About: I have spent my entire life around animals so caring for them has always come naturally to me. I grew up in a household with over 40 animals, including dogs, cats, and exotic pets. I have spent years working in a small locally owned pet store in my home town taking care of exotics, before moving into kennel work at a vet’s office. I have experience in giving medications to dogs and cats in different methods, and monitoring their health afterwards. My primary role was offering our boarding pets the comfort of a home away from home. I’m a reptile dad every day, taking care of my own snake and bearded dragon babies. I’m currently home every day with time and love to give to other pets and their people who need an extra hand. I have a big room with a comfy bed that they can lay on in a nice couch that we can sit and watch shows on. I also have a fenced in yard outback that I can take them in to play, but I have a spacious cemetery up and across the street that is great for leash walks as well. I also have various toys and litter boxes as well.

About: I am pretty experienced with pets especially from having them myself all my life, I love walking and I would love to help walk your pets or dog sit! I am currently doing a part time internship, so I am available almost every other week day, but I have lots of free time to spare! I have a fenced backyard that is very big so that your pet can run around and have fun! I also live in a neighborhood that is great for walking!
“Louca worked wonders for us and our super reactive miniature dachshund. His patience, knowledge, and professional and positive attitude were a huge relief after searching for and failing to find someone to look after our dog when we were away for short periods. Louca has given us so much hope for our little puppy’s future and we look forward to working with him again! Thank you Louca !!”

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
