“We have a 7 year old Saint Bernard (Maple) that we rescued when she was 4 years old. Unfortunately, Maple has a lot of life experience prior to us knowing her that leads her to be reactive to dogs, cats and some people that she has not met yet. Maple is 130 pounds, so walking Maple is an event that requires a lot of attention. We wanted to be as honest with Alexandria as possible and basically told her all of the horror stories. Alexandria happily responded with, "That's no problem at all." We set up a meet and greet and Alexandria was happy to take time out of her day and take extra time to make sure that Maple was comfortable when meeting. While we were away, Alexandria sent us multiple updates on Maple's status (which is usually sleeping) and all sorts of photos of our baby! Alexandria even let us know that Maple played with her and allowed Alexandria to give her belly rubs which is her true sign of being comfortable. This was our first experience with Rover. We were super reluctant to use it because of Maple being large and reactive but we could not be happier with Alexandria and the way she took care of Maple.
