Leah took wonderful care of our dog. We were nervous having never used Rover or having a dog sitter before. Leah is professional, kind and caring. She sent several updates with photos. She is also thorough and reaches out with any questions that come up. The best part was coming home to a very happy and loved dog. It was a huge relief to not have to worry about our pup while we were away. Would highly recommend.

Last minute request for assistance caring for my dog who was even having stomach issues, and Dawn came through like a champ! She administered needed meds, keep impeccable logs for us, and updated us on his progress while we were away. We felt that Dawn treated our pup as if it were her own. We would definitely reach out to her again - as she was a pleasure to work with. Great job Dawn!

About: I grew up with dogs and have been helping family and friends care for their pets for years. I’m comfortable with daily walks, feeding routines, playtime, baths, and lots of attention and affection. Spending time with dogs has always been a natural part of my life, and I genuinely love getting to know each pet’s personality. I’m reliable, patient, and detail-oriented, so I follow care instructions closely and make sure your dog feels safe and happy while you’re away. I’m also happy to send photo updates so you can relax knowing they’re in good hands. I treat every pet like they’re my own. I am a law student at UNH with classes in the morning and late afternoon. I am free mid-days and in the evenings, and am free every weekend. Your pet’s safety and comfort always come first. I carefully follow feeding, walking, and medication instructions and keep a calm, clean environment. During walks, I stay alert and use secure leashing at all times. In your home, I’m respectful of your space and keep doors, gates, and food stored safely. I also send regular updates and photos so you always know how your pet is doing.

Left last minute for a sea cruise, and Monica was available and ready to help watch Champ, so truly grateful for her dedication. Monica is a good sitter and loves being around animals very much. Very good with small senior dogs which was exactly what I was looking for! Got every other day check-ins with Champ with photos when the boat was island docked. Timing and coordination went well with pick ups and drops offs too. Champ came home, happy, healthy and refreshed! Monica is a very sweet, hard working sitter, Super chill, kind, grateful and cares with her whole heart. Definitely recommend and would use her services again. Thanks for watching My old boy, Champ!

Sophia was an amazing dog sitter for our pup! She had some car troubles the first night before coming over but was a great communicator and it all worked out! She left my apartment so neat and tidy, took out our trash, stripped the bed, and wiped down the bathroom. She really went above and beyond! She sent some great photos of our dog that made me know she was in great hands! I would definitely recommend Sophia and would book again!! 😊

About: I’ve taken care of cats and dogs for 3 years in my own life, including elderly dogs with dementia so I know well the patience and love each and every animal needs and deserves! I’m working a part time job so I have ample time to care for your animals or take them for nice walks! I’d love to give as much time as possible to them! About: I have experience working with dogs small-large and have taken ~2 years of dog training classes for my own dog. Experienced dog walker and now available for boarding. Pet care fits naturally into my daily and weekly routine. As a part‑time student with no outside employment, I have a very flexible schedule that allows me to dedicate plenty of time and attention to each dog I care for. Whether your pet stays in my home or I come to yours, I’m able to provide consistent supervision, regular walks, and a calm, structured environment. I’m already active with my own dog, so incorporating additional walks, playtime, and companionship throughout the day is something I genuinely enjoy. In my home, pets enjoy a safe and comfortable environment tailored to their needs. I have a secure dog run in the yard for outdoor playtime and potty breaks, and I keep an extra crate available if a dog prefers or requires one. Dogs are welcome on the couch, and there are multiple dog beds throughout the house for cozy resting spots. My own dog is well‑trained and friendly with other social dogs, but I can easily separate pets into different areas of the home if that’s the best setup for their comfort. Whether I’m caring for your dog in my home or yours, I treat every pet with the same attention, love, and care I give my own.

About: Hi! I’m Mikaela, and I’ve had dogs since I was a baby. I’ve had two family dogs (one beagle and one pitbull mix), and currently have one lovable mutt, Zeva. We love spending our free time on walks around the city, in the mountains, and anywhere we can find a good stick for Zeva to carry around. I’m a teacher, but my schedule allows me to be flexible. I have a 30 minute commute, so having a schedule works best to plan! I have a private yard space that I share with one neighbor. Anytime my dog goes outside (on a lead, so everyone’s comfortable), I’m right there with her.

About: My family has had pets my entire life, and I've grown up with dogs and cats, so the question of how many years of experience I have is difficult to answer. I have a lot of experience being around animals, but I obviously was not the primary caregiver for our pets during my childhood. I am very fond of animals (of course), and would love to get to know your furry friends and help them get out and about! I'm a student in college at UVM, so I am around to hang out with your pets in between and after my classes! Because of the way they are spaced out, I'm usually free midday or in the afternoon/evening. I put a lot of care into making sure your furry friends are happy and healthy while in my care. I keep a close eye on them, and stick mainly to quieter roads that I'm familiar with on walks.

Zachary was very responsive and was flexible working with me to nail down a schedule that worked for both our availability. I so appreciated his help watching Winnie when my flight was significantly delayed - he was happy to come back and I was so grateful that she was cared for when I couldn’t get home on time. He cleaned up before leaving and was very respectful of our home. I would definitely recommend Zachary to take care of your dog. Winnie seemed very happy with the care he provided. Thanks!

It is my absolute joy and honor to write this heartfelt recommendation for Molly. From the very beginning, Molly went above and beyond in every possible way. She took the time to come to our home not just once, but twice prior to our trip, carefully listening to every detail of our girls’ routines, needs, and personalities. As devoted dachshund parents, we are especially attentive to their care due to the unique needs of the breed—particularly regarding their backs and overall safety. Molly didn’t just acknowledge this but she embraced it wholeheartedly, with genuine enthusiasm, compassion, and respect. Throughout our time away, Molly provided consistent updates, including thoughtful messages and the sweetest photos, which brought us so much peace and comfort. It was evident in every interaction that our girls were not just being “watched,” but truly loved and nurtured. Dolly-Pea and Maple-Sugar absolutely adore her. As dachshunds, they can be quite particular and sensitive, yet they bonded with Molly so naturally and deeply. That alone speaks volumes. She was incredibly patient, gentle, and attentive, always ensuring they felt safe, secure, and cherished. Our girls are in excellent health, and we are very intentional about maintaining that through careful daily routines. Molly honored every instruction with grace and diligence, treating their care as if they were her own. That level of trust is not easily given—and Molly earned it completely. It is rare to find someone who brings both professionalism and such genuine love into their work, but Molly does so effortlessly. She is reliable, kind-hearted, detail-oriented, and truly exceptional in what she does. We feel beyond blessed to have found her and cannot recommend her highly enough to anyone seeking not just a pet sitter, but someone who will care for their animals with deep love, attentiveness, and integrity. With gratitude and love, Seraphim and David Afflick

FAQs for House Sitting - East Concord

Frequently asked questions about Rover

The average cost for House Sitting in East Concord on Rover is $40.83 per night (as of July 2026). However, all sitters set their own rates based on experience, location, and availability.

Rover makes budgeting the cost of House Sitting easy. As long as your dates and pet profiles are correct, the price you see before you book is the same price you pay for House Sitting. For more information on service fees, click here .

As of July 2026, there are 640 sitters on Rover offering House Sitting across East Concord. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:

  • Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
  • Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
  • Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
  • Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.

The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred East Concord walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.

It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in East Concord maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:

  • Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
  • Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
  • Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.

Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!

Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in East Concord choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.

For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.

Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in East Concord. On Rover:

  • 100% of sitters can help with special care needs
  • 100% can help with giving oral medications or injections
  • 96% can help with daily exercise

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
