About: I have worked in a well renowned and amazing shelter & animal rescue (no kill shelter) for 5 years. I’ve got plenty of experience with both dogs and cats. I’ve also got certifications in fear free animal training, along with helping train many dogs for Leader dogs for the blind. I’m recently moved to the area, and currently working part time. So I have a lot of extra free time, my time is very flexible. I consider animals family, so taking care of them properly how their family ask is very important in my eyes. So taking care of them will be followed directly as stated. 😊

“We couldn’t have asked for a better dog sitter than Sofia! She was amazing with our dogs, who absolutely adored her from the start. She went above and beyond to make sure they were comfortable, happy, and well cared for. Sofia kept us updated with photos and messages, giving us peace of mind while we were away. It’s clear she has a genuine love for animals, and we highly recommend her to anyone looking for a trustworthy and caring sitter!”

“Alina was wonderful! Our sometimes scaredy cat was so comfortable with her and even cuddled with her on multiple visits. This was the longest we had left our fur baby since we got him and it was so nice to know he was in such good hands. 11/10 recommend!”

“Amber was absolutely amazing when I was scrolling looking for someone I just got a great feeling about her I made the perfect Choice. I was away on a birthday trip 7 days, and she took incredible care of my cat, Arrow, the entire time. She kept in touch with me every day, sending updates and pictures that gave me so much peace of mind while I was away. She made sure Arrow was well cared for, played with him, scooped his litter box, and even took the litter outside afterward to make sure my apartment stayed fresh which was great to come home to. She also took the time to let him drink from the faucet his absolute favorite thing! which showed me that she really paid attention to his personality and routines. On top of taking such great care of Arrow, Amber went above and beyond by bringing my trash can in and even putting my birthday flowers inside the house and in fridge to keep them fresh for me 🥹 It’s clear that Amber genuinely cares about the pets she watches and treats them like her own. Knowing Arrow and my home were in such good hands allowed me to fully enjoy my vacation. I highly recommend Amber to anyone looking for a trustworthy, reliable, and thoughtful pet sitter. I will definitely be booking with her again!”

About: I’ve been surrounded by animals my entire life, literally since the day I was born. My experience spans dogs, cats, birds, horses, donkeys, goats, and rabbits, giving me a deep understanding of animals with very different personalities, needs, and routines. I began fostering animals at 12 years old alongside my mom, helping care for them and place them into loving forever homes. My first job was as an in home pet sitter, and I immediately fell in love with providing animals the consistent care, attention, and comfort they need while their families are away. For over 10 years, I managed a farm, which taught me how to confidently handle multiple animals at once, follow detailed care routines, and stay calm, observant, and organized in dynamic environments. While I have years of hands on experience, my love and respect for animals has always come first. As a pet parent myself, I understand the anxiety that can come with leaving your pets in someone else’s care. Because of that, I’m intentional about clear communication, regular updates, and treating every pet as if they were my own. My goal is to give you peace of mind, knowing your pet is safe, loved, and in caring hands while you’re away. I’m currently working remote so my schedule always is very flexible. I can provide multiple potty breaks through out the day and I also enjoy taking pets on a mid day walk. I have a fenced in yard, two friendly dogs and a quiet neighborhood perfect for our daily walks. Crating is also available per your request.

About: I am a dedicated animal lover and proud pet parent to three fur babies of my own—Athena, Bellamy, and Octavia—who mean the world to me. As a full-time nursing student, I value compassion, responsibility, and attentiveness, which naturally extend into the way I care for animals. Spending time outdoors while caring for pets is something I truly enjoy, and I take pride in providing reliable, loving support for fellow pet parents. Monday–Saturday, 6:00 AM – 10:00 PM. Reliable, attentive, and dedicated. I treat every pet like my own fur babies, focusing on patience, safety, and keeping their routine consistent so they feel comfortable and loved in their home. 🐶🐱💛 I treat every animal as if they were my own fur baby, always prioritizing their safety, comfort, and happiness. My dog, Athena, is very friendly and enjoys meeting new companions, and I understand the importance of positive, safe interactions between pets.
“Brittnay is awesome! So kind and has amazing communication. She checked in with me everyday and sent pics. Definitely recommend her for watching your fur babies!!”

About: Hey there! Call me Katie. Amateur Animal Whisperer. I LOVE cats and dogs alike. I'm so thankful for your interest and trust in me! I am a lover of nature and all life it encompasses. I have professional experience with animals, children, and house sitting. I do well with animals of all breeds, species, ages and needs. I never meet an animal I don't love. All my life, I have had a gift for bringing peace to otherwise 'unfriendly' or 'unwelcoming' animals. It is not uncommon for me to be cuddling with a friend's dog or cat... Later to find their astonishment at their animal allowing me (or anyone) to do so! I am comfortable and do very well with animals with special needs. I am only 5'2 but I have a passion for Great Danes! And birds! And cats! I feel I am very attentive, intuitive, and loving with people and animals alike. I am looking forward to getting to know your furry family members! Thank you for reading! I am self employed, with a flexible schedule so I can accommodate your pets’ specific needs. I love building relationships and sense of trust with your babies: making them feel safe and loved during drop ins, walks and play time. Life is busy for you! When you’re away, my goal is to bring you and your animal babies peace of mind. I like to adapt to your babies natural routine as closely as possible.

Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.
House sitting can be ideal for cats who need socialization or care that lasts longer than a few hours. Your cat stays in their own home, on their own schedule, with care based on what you and your sitter agree on together.
Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
