“Jennifer took great care of our two babies! She was very communicative and sent prompt updates, let me know of any issues with them, and spent plenty of time with them to play and let them out to potty. She’ll be our first call if we need someone to watch our pups! 💜”

“We came home to a very happy pup! Emily was very nice, right on time, and gave a thorough update on the visit. Our doggy looked very happy in the picture Emily sent us as well! We hope to use her again for any future drop in visits!”

“Had a wonderful experience with Sophia! She graciously accepted to check in on our 3 cats on short notice and did so great! She was reliable, followed our instructions and gave us peace of mind while away from our babies. Would definitely book again in the future.”

“Rylee watched our two cats while we were gone for the holidays and did a great job watching over them! She was very communicative and sent pictures for each of her visits, I’d definitely recommend her and will rebook her in the future!”

“Hannah did amazing with our dogs. She was either on time or early every time to go let them out and took very good care of them. She kept me updated every time she went over there and if she wasn’t sure about something instead of just doing it, she asked me what I would do which I really really appreciated. If you have the opportunity definitely book with her she’s amazing.”

“Ana was fantastic as always! Her recaps and photos after each visit are so thorough and appreciated. I know without a doubt that our pup is in the best of hands when Ana is with her. Thank you so much, Ana!!”

About: My Pet Care Experience 🐾 Animals have always been a big part of my life. I was raised around smaller dogs, so that’s what I grew up knowing first. As I got older, I started being around bigger breeds too, and over time I got just as comfortable with them. I’ve also grown up around horses, fish, rabbits, and different kinds of animals, so being around animals has always felt natural to me. A lot of what I know about dogs comes from actually growing up with them—seeing their different personalities, learning their routines, understanding when they want attention and when they need their space, and learning how much they rely on the people taking care of them. I’ve gotten to experience the fun parts of raising animals, but I’ve also experienced what it’s like to lose one. Going through that made me realize even more how much these animals become a part of your life. Because of that, when I take care of someone’s pet, I don’t look at them as just another dog I’m watching. I think about how I would want my own pets to be treated if I wasn’t there. I want them to feel comfortable with me, keep their normal routine, and have someone around who genuinely enjoys being with them. Pet care fits easily into my daily and weekly routine. I’m able to plan my schedule around my clients’ needs and make sure I have enough time to provide each pet with consistent, attentive care. I’m dependable, organized, and flexible with scheduling. I prioritize keeping every pet safe, comfortable, and cared for. In a client’s home, I follow their instructions, respect their space, and keep their pets’ routines consistent. I pay close attention to each pet’s behavior and needs while providing a calm, loving environment.
“Meagan is great! She is very responsive, attentive, and loving to our pups! She sent a very detailed message after her visit explaining what they did. She was perfectly prompt as well. Definitely will be rebooking her!”

“Taylor Jon was great with my cats he sent pictures and responded to every message. I told him my older cat gets anxious when I leave he made sure to give her extra attention. He cleaned up after them which was nice after traveling. I would book again with Taylor he was great with my cats and my house looked good when I came home.”

“Alison did a great job taking care of my kitties for an extended weekend trip- she went above and beyond to make sure they were cared for and provided photos every visit.”
“I will always vouch for Andrea! She is amazing with our dog and treats him like family. She was a breeze to work with. Once we need her services again we will definitely rebook. Thank you again Andrea!”

About: My children, husband and I have always been “animal” people and enjoy getting the opportunity to love on your pets! I know I always enjoy my trips away from home knowing my pets are well taken care of and loved on by someone we trust, so we’d like to do the same for another family and their pet babies! I work full-time from home with a flexible schedule; plenty of time to love and care for your babies. My children are 14 and 12, and have grown up around all sorts of pets. We have a privacy fenced in backyard that the dogs have free range in when let out. We do have a shade set up out there but we do not let any animals stay outside for too long if the heat is prohibitive. We have 2 playful pups that we adopted from a rescue and our newest baby we adopted as a puppy from a local family here in Texas. We love to welcome in new friends to play! We have 2 children that enjoy interacting with our dog as well as others. They are 14 and 12 and know how to be around dogs and like to play fetch and throw toys out for the dogs to play with. I’d encourage you to also read through my “details” section towards the ends for further info. Hope you’re having an amazing day and God bless you!
“This is my second time booking Natalie for walks while I’m out of town and each time she’s been a pleasure to work with. She is very responsive and communicative, which gives me assurance that Daisy will be well cared for while I’m away. Highly recommend!”

“I had a wonderful experience having Riley watch my 2 dogs and cat. She really went above and beyond making sure they were comfortable and had plenty of playtime. Communication was also great and she took lots of awesome pictures of them having fun. Would absolutely book with Riley again!”

“We couldn’t be happier with Diane and the care she provided our 2 cats. She arrived promptly and on time for each visit, kept us updated on how the cats were doing, and even spent more time with them than she had to. We were able to enjoy our vacation thanks to her. Highly recommended!”

About: With 12+ years in veterinary medicine, I bring a little more than belly rubs and a pocket full of treats to the job. I’m experienced with dogs of all ages, breeds, sizes, and personalities—from wild puppies to sweet seniors and pets with medical or special needs. I’m comfortable administering medications, recognizing changes in behavior or health, and following detailed care routines. I’ve also spent years helping rescue and rehabilitate animals, so I’m patient with nervous, anxious, or quirky pups who may need a little extra time to trust someone new. Most importantly, I’ll care for your dog like I would my own—with plenty of attention, ridiculous conversations, and probably way too many pictures sent to you. Pet care has been part of my everyday life for over a decade, both professionally and personally. My schedule is currently flexible, which gives me plenty of availability for walks, drop-ins, playtime, feeding, medications, and keeping your pet’s normal routine intact. I’m an early riser, active, and very used to planning my day around animals—because apparently they’ve been running my schedule for years anyway. With 12+ years of veterinary medicine experience, safety is always my priority. I’m comfortable recognizing changes in behavior or health, administering medications, caring for senior and special-needs pets, and following detailed care instructions. In your home, I respect your pet’s normal routine and environment and take the time to earn their trust rather than forcing interaction. I’ll also keep you updated with photos and messages, because I know leaving your pet with someone else can be stressful—even when your pet is completely unbothered by your absence. 😂

Cat parents share their Rover experiences - Sansom Park
Meagan is great!! She made friends and hung out with my kitties. Always made sure litter was clean and food and water were filled. Her report cards were thorough (hilarious) and she included plenty of photos. We appreciate her!! This is the second time we’ve used her and I’ll book her again next time!!

Kenna was great! She was very responsive and even offered a meet and greet to make sure she and my cat got along. She provided pictures and updates after every visit, and I really appreciate her showing up every day to make sure my cat’s food and water were fresh. Reliable and caring — would definitely recommend!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
