“She was absolutely amazing! She was incredibly thorough with her questions beforehand and took amazing care of our animals. She sent tons of pictures every day and left the house completely spotless. 100% will be using her in the future to take care of our animals.”

“Mary-Kate is a kind and professional sitter. She was eager to learn about our ducks and took great care with them and our dog. We’d definitely book her again!”

“Repeat customer, Stephanie (Net) is the best and goes above and beyond. We have a bunch of pets including a senior dog and a high energy middle age pup (cats, a lizard, oh my!) and she’s great with everyone. Highly recommend!”

“Anna was an excellent house sitter to our nervous greyhound and cat. She sent daily updates at least and took booker for the walks he needed. She went above and beyond keeping our house in order. We spent the vacation knowing our pets were cared for and came back to clean house. Highly recommend (unless we need her ;-) )”

“Kevin provided wonderful care for our dog while we were out of town for the weekend. He asked thoughtful questions about our dog before sitting him and followed our instructions while here. Our dog has some behavioral quirks so it’s very important to us that his sitter pays attention to detail. Kevin was also timely, reliable, and courteous. By the end of the weekend, it looked like Kevin and Babka were pals. Thanks, Kevin—we hope to book with you again in the future!”

“Patricia was responsive in a timely manner and provided us with lots of pictures and updates of our fur babies and we appreciated all the care she provided. Will be using her services again!”

“Samantha was absolutely amazing and made me feel so comfortable leaving my pets with someone for the first time. She gave me daily updates, cleaned up my dog, and even took care of my cat’s litter. She sent pictures of my babies every day, which made me so happy and gave me so much peace of mind. Not to mention, my house was well taken care of when I returned. She is absolutely wonderful, and I would highly recommend her to anyone looking for someone to care for their fur babies!”

“Lauren took excellent care of our two young cats while we were away! Our cats were happy and settled when we returned home, which isn’t easy to accomplish with kitties under a year. Lauren is a wonderful communicator and provided lots of updates with photos - we knew they were in good hands. She also left our home very clean. We highly recommend Lauren and will absolutely welcome her back!”

“Madalyn house sat and watched out 2 fur babies this past week. As usual she did a phenomenal job and the girls love her. They can’t wait to see her again in 4 weeks for an extended time frame. Best dog sitter we have had yet by far.”
“Loren was wonderful! I would highly recommend her for your pet sitting needs! I went away for a week and had never left my dog with anyone other than family before. I was a little anxious about it. Loren knew this and was very kind and compassionate. She took amazing care of my fur baby and I can't thank her enough! Loren went above and beyond what I was looking for and I will absolutely use her services again.”

“Rima was very attentive with the dogs. She sent pictures and videos frequently so that we could see that the dogs were doing well. She spent a lot of time outdoors with them. She cleaned up after their poops. She washed towels and sheets so we came home to a clean house. We would use Rima again. We travel frequently to visit our children.”

“Merissa and Nick are stand outs! They took such great care of Comet; he can’t wait for them to come back and doggie-sit again! They are super responsive, great about sending updates/photos, and go above and beyond to make your dog comfortable and loved while you’re away! Comet had an injury at the time and, not only did they give him his medicine but also some doggie massages as a bonus! Highly recommend :)”
“This is my second time booking with Alexis and will definitely book again! She took great care of my animals, provided updates, administered inhaler treatments to my cat, and cleaned up before leaving. Thank you so much!”
About: Hi, I am a mature and experienced pet owner. I grew up with dogs, cats, and horses, and loved my own dogs (Rottweiler, Boxers, Jack Russell and Frenchton) while raising my children. I am unfortunately not able to have my own pets due to where I live. I have traveled for work, sporting events and vacations and know the stress of finding care for my pets where they will feel loved and be well taken care of. I want to offer peace of mind to others when they cannot take their furry family members with them when traveling. I work from home so I will be able to treat you pet like my own. I will be there in the morning, evening, and throughout the day. I can bring my work supplies to you home (reliable wifi is required) to work. I am unable to care for pets in my home. When caring for your pet in your home I will follow the instructions you provide. I enjoy playing and hanging out with cats and dogs but also know not all cats and dogs are the same. Through conversation with you I will learn how best to interact with your pet to ensure there is a great experience for all. The boxers in my picture were mine. They live long spoiled lives, with lots of love and play time. The fawn with the white face was hand-signal trained and if you know boxers, you know that takes patience. They both love people of all ages and were as goofy and as lovable as their boxer reputation.
About: I've had pets in the past and love caring for them and playing with them. Grew up with a cat, had a dog and coserved a cat with my wife. Because we may move some time internationally, we haven't wanted to make a long term commitment, be we would love to be grandpetparents where we help out by babysitting while people need to travel pet free for a short time. I work full time but from home several days a week. My son, who loves animals will be around on days I am not at home. We would welcome any pets as part of the family. They can cuddle with us on the couch and play out in the yard or chill on our screened in porch. Unfortunately, we cant care forndigs for more than 5 or 6 days as we arent physically able to care for them.
About: I have been caring for animals since I was a child. I started small with hamster and fish, eventually teaching myself to care for larger species through rigorous online teachings and experience. I work part time so that I can spend as much time working with and caring for animals as possible. Ideally taking care of at least 3 pets a day would be best case for me. I do not have the ability to care for pets in my home but I do have the knowledge and experience to crate fur babies when needed without causing them distress. I am familiar with getting animals of all domestic sizes into a state of calm for walks or sleep time or even cuddles after a long day of missing their folks.
“Amanda is the best dog sitter I have ever had! She was so attentive to all of my dog's needs and respectful of his quirks and daily schedule. She kept me fully updated every day I was gone and sent lots of cute pictures and videos - I felt like I didn't have to worry about a thing because I knew my fur baby was in loving and capable hands. I recommend Amanda 100%!!!”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Dunsbach Ferry
We felt so comfortable leaving our pup in Cheyenne’s care! Cheyenne went out of her way to make sure our girl was not only safe and cared for, but also had so much fun playing while we were away. We received such great photos and updates while we were gone, and knew our girl was in the best hands. We had so much confidence knowing Cheyenne’s extensive history and experience with animals, which was even more reassuring (our pup has seizures from time to time and takes a daily medication). Cheyenne was also so respectful of our home, and always communicated promptly and professionally. Thank you again, Cheyenne!!

Chad was great with our puppers! We have a very active one and he did well with him. He kept the house clean and kept us updated with photos and videos. We really enjoyed him and his wife and were very thankful the sat for us. We will be using him and his wife again

This was our first time using Rover, and we couldn’t have asked for a better experience! We had a small hiccup with our WiFi being down for a day, but she was so understanding and flexible about it. She was very responsive, kept us updated every day with pictures, and took great care of our pup and home. Super kind and easy to communicate with—we’d definitely book with her again for another stay!

Frequently asked questions about Rover
The average cost for House Sitting in Dunsbach Ferry on Rover is $32.1 per night (as of July 2026). However, all sitters set their own rates based on experience, location, and availability.
Rover makes budgeting the cost of House Sitting easy. As long as your dates and pet profiles are correct, the price you see before you book is the same price you pay for House Sitting. For more information on service fees, click here .
As of July 2026, there are 645 sitters on Rover offering House Sitting across Dunsbach Ferry. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.
Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Dunsbach Ferry walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Dunsbach Ferry maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Dunsbach Ferry choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Dunsbach Ferry. On Rover:
- 92% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 96% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 98% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
