“Julie is awesome! Our babies, CJ & little Phoebe had an amazing time in Julie's care. She sent us pictures everyday which was awesome! We'll definitely be returning if we get the chance. 😁”

“Ashley was absolutely incredible. Constant updates and very helpful with pickup/dropoff with my schedule. I felt very comfortable that my pup was in great hands the whole time I was away.”

“My dog loves going to Sylvies! When we get out of the car to drop him off he almost bowls me over with excitement running over to her door. Loved all the fun videos Sylvie provides of Dobby always relaxing inside with people around. I trust my little guy is well looked after when visiting her. Highly recommend Sylvie. Very responsive and lovely couple in general that love dogs”

“Miss Vicky is amazing. This was our first booking, but will not be our last. She communicated with us every day and responded within minutes if we reached out. I cannot say enough nice things about Vicky. She is an absolute gem! Thank you Vicky!!”

“Destina could not have been happier with her stay. She went hiking, got lots of cuddles, and I got updates each and every day through messages and photos. When I left Destina, I told her we were both getting a vacation and to enjoy herself. I think she had a better vacation than me! Thx, Erica!!”

“What a wonderful experience we had with Dave and Becky! Lots of pictures, stories, and adventures! We knew she would be very happy in their beautiful home and huge backyard! She will miss the squirrels and helping Dave with the new floors though! :) So very grateful we found Dave and Becky and will definitely use their services again!!”

“We have never used Rover before, but Miriam was wonderful. She took in our 2 dogs as if they were hers. She played with the guys and worked with them to get them to eat (which is no small chore with our guys). She has a wonderful house with a great back yard and our dogs made themselves at home. She sent us pictures and video's of the guys while we were on vacation and shared how they were progressing. It is obvious that she loves dogs and I would not hesitate to book her again if we went out of town. She went above and beyond in her caring for the dogs.”

“Rich and Jeanette took wonderful care of our 3yo pug for almost two weeks, while we were on vacation. They sent us pictures and updates every two days or so and I am sure they would send more or less often, if requested. Schedules were super easy to set up with them including a meet and greet prior to boarding. Will use for boarding again in the future and highly recommend to others!”

“Jessica was GREAT! Her home was welcoming, she was welcoming and from the meet and greet i knew my zaydo was gonna have a great time and be cared for properly. She sent videos and pictures and by the first day he made himself at home which is not usual for him. She kept me updated on all things going on including what they did during the day, How his eating habits were, how he was handling the adjustment and even new things about my doggy i didn’t even know. Her dogs welcomed him with sniffs and lots of playtime. I will definitely be booking again and jessica will always be my #1 recommendation for those needing the help with their fur baby.”

“Sally is the sweetest!!! This was the first time I ever boarded my own dog. It was a great experience. Sally sent lots of pictures & updates. Cashmere socialized with other doggies and had lots of TLC. I highly recommend Sally!! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️”

“Jose was very attentive to Aria's needs, and was able to get her to take her medication every day! He also sent us regular updates about how she was doing. Would definitely book again!”

“Walter, Gabi and Michael take such good care of our Lillie Mae. Lillie is excited to be at their house when we drop her off. She is comfortable with them all. They really give her love and affection. We can tell by how she acts around them and how she is when she comes home. We are so thankful for their care and love to our Lillie Mae. It brings us such comfort and we do t have to worry about her when we are away. Blessings on this family!!”
“Michelle and her husband are wonderful. They helped me out in a pinch and more importantly, they are very responsible and caring dog handlers. They are great people and I felt very comfortable with them taking good care of my little guy.”

“Rosie loves staying with Kay and Tim. Cricket and Sammy are very welcoming and it gives Rosie a chance to interact with other dogs while her humans are away. We appreciate the flexibility and graciousness of Kay. She offers the perfect home away from home!!”

“Steve was great. His home is set up with pets in mind. He got to know our dogs during their stay, sending quick notes about their behaviors, likes/dislikes as well as sending pictures of them playing and resting. It’s clear he takes caring for others pets seriously which really set my mind at ease.”

“Loren was amazing and put some of my anxiety at ease with our high energy aussie. She sent daily recaps and pictures of our dogs. It looked like they had a wonderful time and were so happy/tired when picked up. She communicates quickly with any questions/concerns. Would love to have our dogs stay with her again!”

About: Although I don’t have professional experience caring for pets, I do have experience watching the pets of friends and my own. I have had kittens born in my home and have lived with and care for both dogs and cats in my own on a personal level. I also have provided childcare and care of seniors. My upmost goal is to serve those in my care to best of my ability with love, respect, and attention. I am available at all times. I do attend church daily so there is an hour and a half period where I would be at home every day, but as long as your pet can handle an hour and half of me away I’m available as needed. I am available for whatever the individual needs with provided instructions. I can walk the dogs in my complex and there are trash bags available for use.
“Kathy is by far the best dog sitter I have ever had. She was so good to my fur babies. They loved her and her awesome place. There’s not enough stars for her review. Easy to interact with and amazing updates and pictures.”

About: I have lots of experience with dogs and cats. Throughout my childhood animals were my escape from reality. My dad bred dogs and I always loved them so much it was hard to say goodbye. In high school I took in a stray cat and it kept getting pregnant so I raised like 5 litters of kittens as well. To be honest I like animals more than people your babies are in good hands. I like to walk and get my steps in everyday so it won’t be much different walking with the doggos. I have dog and catsit for close friends and family but never strangers. Excited to do it! I work from home and my job is very flexible. I am my own boss so I can pretty much take breaks whenever I need to take your fur baby on walks or feed them as well as give them lots of attention when needed. My availability is very open and I love all animals. Since I work from home I’ll always be here to make sure your animal is well cared for and happy. I also go on multiple walks daily anyways to try and stay active so its perfect!!
Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Drexel-Alvernon
Julie and her family took loving care of our pup for nearly 3 weeks while we were on a long trip. Our dog got a chance to befriend Julie’s dogs and other dogs that were boarding for shorter spans of time. Julie and her family are masters at dog introductions and care. Our dog has special needs and walks with a leg brace. Julie managed this challenge with no trouble at all. We would definitely use Julie’s help again!

1000% highly recommend Asia. She’s communicates daily, accommodated my time needs for my flight the next day and when I got back to pick up my girl. She’s the best sitter I’ve ever had and will probably be the only one to trust with my dog. She has pups of her own but they are absolutely the sweetest and got along real well with my girl.

Thomas took great care of my dog. She had recently had surgery and needed some extra care, and she came home happy and the vet gave her good marks for healing up. I couldn't be happier. I really appreciate his willingness to adjust as my travel schedule shifted. I will definitely call him again when I need to board my dog.

Frequently asked questions about Rover
Rover is the largest marketplace for local pet care. Whether you're looking for pet sitters, dog walkers, or house sitters who specialize in pet sitting, you can narrow your search by entering your ZIP code to find sitters within walking distance in your neighborhood.
Every sitter on Rover has their own routine. Depending on the arrangements you agree on before the stay, a sitter can follow your dog’s regular feeding schedule, provide a comfortable place to sleep, offer companionship, and support their usual exercise and play needs.
Depending on the sitter, their home environment, and your dog’s needs, daily exercise may include walks, outdoor play, indoor enrichment activities, or supervised play with compatible dogs. These activities are not automatically included with every booking, so ask the sitter what a typical day looks like.
During the Meet & Greet, discuss your dog’s usual exercise and play routine, whether they can safely interact with other dogs, and any activities or restrictions the sitter should follow. You can also ask the sitter to send photo and message updates during the stay so you can see how your dog is spending their time.
Preparing for drop-off is easy when you have a checklist! To help your dog settle into their Drexel-Alvernon home-away-from-home, packing:
- Health and safety essentials such as their ID tags, vaccination records, medication, and emergency vet or secondary caregiver contacts.
- Food and gear such as harnesses, collars, food (portioned by day), and an item that smells like you.
- Special instructions such as a list of training cues, medical administration needs, or favorite hang-out spots in your Drexel-Alvernon.
<b>Tip:</b> You can upload your dog’s routine and medical info directly onto their profile so your sitter always has the details at their fingertips.
You and your Drexel-Alvernon sitter can schedule drop-off and pick-up in a way that works best for the both of you—and your dog. Most sitters offer flexible times for drop-off and pick-up but the easiest way to confirm those times will be through in-app messaging. Confirm your arrival time the day of pick-up and drop-off can also help keep the process smooth and organized.
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the , which provides up to 25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to 25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in AZ ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
