About: I have been taking care of different kinds of dogs since i was 14. My family has 7 dogs and I love them all the same! We have 3 german shepards, one pitbull, one frenchie, one chihuahua and one shih tzu with maltese mix. I have experienced two of my dogs going into labor and helped them through that process, and I had helped one of our senior dogs walk on the daily when she sadly couldn’t walk no more. I feel like I am experienced all around when it comes to dogs. As of right now, I am living in Hawaii for college in an apartment that is pet friendly! Aloha! I am currently in college and I am doing almost all of my classes online. I have a pretty free schedule and will be excited to help out pet owners even on weekends if communicated with me. I have no pets in my apartment and I will be with your dog at all times! I will take your dog on walks and there will be other dogs going on walks right outside my apartment complex. The community I live in, is pet friendly and almost everyone that lives around here has a dog!

“Shannon did an amazing job and you can tell she really cares about our dogs. She came into our place to meet them and one of our dogs was a little unsure, but she was so kind that he really warmed up to her. I loved the updates she provided and the photos! Would definitely recommend and hope to have her walk our pups again!”

About: My lifelong immersion in animal care, having grown up with multiple pets including cats and a rabbit, means I understand diverse animal personalities and communication styles. I'm skilled at reading body language and adjusting my approach based on each dog's individual temperament and needs. As Ghost's dad, I bring hands-on experience managing a husky's unique energy and needs. This gives me practical knowledge of proper exercise routines, mental stimulation, and the special attention active breeds require. I have experience working with dogs requiring special care, having previously cared long-term for a Chow Chow with specific needs. This taught me how to adapt routines and provide attentive care for dogs with unique requirements. My background with multiple pets (cats and rabbits) means I understand different animal personalities and communication styles. I'm skilled at reading body language and adjusting my approach for each pet's comfort. As a UH graduate student, I'm detail-oriented and reliable. Being fully available throughout summer means your dog gets my complete, undivided attention. I provide photo updates and detailed reports so you'll know your furry family member is receiving loving, consistent care. As a graduate student currently on summer break from UH, I have the unique advantage of being completely free every day, all day, throughout the entire summer. This means pet care isn't something I need to squeeze between other commitments – it can be my primary focus. My open schedule allows me to: - Adapt completely to your pet's ideal routine rather than forcing them to adapt to mine - Offer flexibility for early morning walks, midday check-ins, or evening care - Provide longer, more attentive visits without rushing to my next appointment - Be available for last-minute requests or schedule changes - Give your pet my undivided attention during every visit Since I'm not balancing pet sitting with classes, work, or other major commitments this summer, I can truly dedicate myself to providing exceptional care for your pets. Whether your dog needs multiple walks throughout the day or your cat needs consistent company while you're away, my schedule is designed to prioritize your pet's needs and well-being. When caring for pets in your home, I prioritize maintaining their familiar environment and routine: - I follow your detailed care instructions precisely, respecting feeding schedules, medication times, and exercise routines - I spend quality time playing, cuddling, or simply providing companionship based on your pet's preferences - I keep your home secure, bringing in mail and alternating lights if requested - I send photo/video updates after each visit so you can see your pet is happy and comfortable - I leave detailed notes about eating, bathroom habits, behavior, and activities

About: Hi! I am a designer working from home based in Honolulu, HI. I love love animals so much but I'm not able to have my own quite yet, so I'd love to help take care of yours! I have a lot of experience being around dogs, including my family pet Joy - a shy, tiny chihuahua terrier mix. In the future, I hope to have two birds, a hairless cat, and a dog :) Because I work from home as a freelancer, my work is very flexible / non urgent, which means I'll have plenty of time to take care of your baby. :) I'm currently residing in an apartment complex that is pet-friendly! It is also nearby a very quiet walkway that would be perfect for your pet to stroll / run around.

About: Hello! My husband and I have owned dogs our entire lives and are huge pet lovers. We treat all animals like they are our own and pride ourselves on providing excellent care. I have 6 years of pet sitting experience. We have a fenced in yard and a jack russell terrier mix named Cooper, a chihuahua mix named Amber, and a dachshund named Willow. All of my dogs are friendly and will pick up on your dog's energy; they love to play but also are trained to respect boundaries. I work from home part time, so I would be spending most, if not all day with your dog/s. I will be available all day for play time, cuddles, and potty breaks. My husband works during the day, and is home in the evenings. ***Please note that I work from home part time. My schedule is currently working from 6:30pm-10pm 3 days per week, and from 10am-3pm on most weekends. I will be unavailable for drop ins, pickups, and drop offs during that time. I do require a meet and greet to make sure that your dog/s will get along with mine. I require dogs to be up to date on their rabies and bordetella vaccines. In-Home Boarding: Please bring your dog/s food, bowls, treats, crate, and any toys you think would help them feel more at home. Photos of your babies will be sent every evening. I am free to take them on walks and try to keep their routine as similar as possible to their routine at home. I do not board cats in my home. *** I only accept one family for dog boarding at a time, so your pet/s will only be around my three dogs during their stay. *** All dogs must be crate trained. Your pets will be crated when no one is home and at night. I have experience with many different breeds and sizes of dogs (see photos). Drop-Ins: I am available for up to five drop-ins a day. I require a meet and greet in your home to meet your pets and have you show me everything that needs to be done. Photos are sent at the conclusion of each drop-in. Most drop-ins will only be completed by myself (Haily).

“Ryan and Alika are getting to know each other. Ryan makes an effort to get to know what Alika likes to play with and his routine in the park. Alika was happy upon return.”

About: Dogs have been my quiet passion since childhood. I used to collect dog-themed postcards, books, and just about anything related to them. Calming dogs was even considered my “special skill” as a kid—and to this day, I still find joy in helping shy or anxious pups feel safe and loved. As a freelance designer who once dreamed of becoming a veterinarian, I bring that same care, sensitivity, and attention to detail into the way I care for animals. I naturally read each pet’s body language and adapt to their emotional needs—whether they need a slow, gentle approach or playful companionship. Even now, my husband and I sometimes visit service dogs at our local library to read books to them—just to spend time with dogs while we miss our own pup who lives with our parents on the mainland. Caring for dogs isn’t just something I do—it’s something I truly love. I work from home on weekdays with a flexible schedule—typically between 8 AM and 4 PM—but I’m happy to adjust as needed to fit your pet’s care routine. I’m available throughout the day for walks, drop-ins, or simply keeping your pet company. Evenings are also open, and my husband (who’s just as passionate about dogs!) often joins me in caring for them. Saturdays are also available, while Friday nights and Sundays may be limited due to church commitments. Above all, I’m committed to being present, responsive, and reliable—ensuring your pet always feels safe, loved, and well cared for. To start, I’m focusing on dog walking and drop-in visits outside the home. I live in a cozy two-bedroom condo with an ocean view, which is currently best suited for small to medium-sized dogs. As I gain more experience and build trust with each pet I care for, I plan to gradually offer in-home daycare as well. Our space is clean, quiet, and filled with warmth—perfect for dogs who enjoy a calm, cozy environment with lots of love. Whether I’m walking your dog or caring for them at home, safety, comfort, and trust are always my top priorities.

“Ria did amazing. She is super friendly and engaging with my pup Archie. Archie sometimes needs a little bit to like someone but due to her positive attitude he loved her right away. The other day I was still at home when she picked him up and Archie was soooo excited to see her. She did great taking care of Archie and Archie was definitely happy after his walks. She is super responsive on rover and flexible with any extra requests. She always sends me picks of Archie being a big weirdo. I 100% recommend her and will book her services again.”

About: Most recently in March 2022, I enjoyed housesitting a sharpei for 3 weeks. Before that I housesat a very adorable golden doodle for a week. In 2021, my friends would often leave their dogs with me when they would travel lasting from days - weeks. I recently completed the Google UX Design Certificate. Therefore, I’ll be job hunting full time; I have time throughout the day to walk, feed, and hang out with your dog! Since I will be housesitting, your dog will be familiar and comfortable in their own home, decreasing the possibility of anxiety and maximizing their comfort!

“Megan is very sweet, kind and out going! She is a true Gem of a find! We will definitely have to have Megan come back and take Rocket out for walks and play dates. She is athletic which is a plus for us as Rocket is a fast walker “sometimes”....”

“Dominique is the best! She has been walking my dog while I am at work for several weeks now and I will continue to use her in the future! She is reliable, she responds quickly, and she is always sure to let me know her availability as quickly as she can. About: Hi! My name is Allison, but you can call me Ali. My friends and family tell me I should have become a vet, not a nurse (for humans). I absolutely love animals, especially dogs and cats! I have always been a pet owner-- as long as I can remember, and have pet-sat many times for neighbors and friends. I am unable to have pets of my own at the moment, but I am always in need of an animal fix. I will treat your pet with as much care, love and attention as I would my own. I am a nurse, so my schedule varies-- just ask me and I will explain my availability and routine. I will be prompt with responses as I always have my phone with me and will check for messages multiple times per day. I can't wait to meet you and especially my next furry friend! I am a nurse, so my schedule varies (sometimes day shift, sometime night shift, sometimes weekends or holidays)… and it changes week to week. On my off days, I have plenty of time to spend with your pet! I will take care of your pet as my own! I am flexible…Please let me know what I can do to make my time with your pet go smoothly!
