“Janay is the person to have when you are looking for a pet sitter. She took care of our 3 cats for 3 days when we were out of town. She exceeded our expectation in every aspect of what we could ask for as our cat sitter. She is friendly, honest, punctual, and communicative. Most of all she is being very nice to our cats. She treats our cats as if they are her own. When she started a drop-in service each day, she sent us numerous pictures of before and after service food/ water/ litter boxes situations. There were also pictures and videos of cats playing and having treats which let us know that the cats were doing fine. Receiving many visual aids put our mind at ease while being away from home. One of the cats has been urinating outside of litter boxes. Therefore we had to put some training pads underneath the boxes. She changed the pads every time the pads were dirty even though it was not addressed to her during our initial meeting. She did everything we asked with a smile on her face:) Overall she is very trustworthy. I would definitely hire her again without any hesitation. I would also recommend her to my friends if they are looking for a great pet sitter.”

“Akane was an amazing caregiver for Max. She stepped in when a sitter was unable to provide Max with her medication. I appreciated her responsiveness and professionalism.”

About: Hi! I’m a cat and dog lover with a background as a Board Certified Behavior Analyst so I know animal behavior and positive reinforcement inside and out. I’ll treat your pets like family and keep their routine consistent and stress-free. I have base access and totally get the last minute nature of TDYs, drills, or longer shifts. Whether it’s cuddles, walks, meds, or playtime, I’ve got it covered. Let’s chat and make sure your pets feel right at home while you’re away! I’m currently in Hawaii for a few weeks and available full time for pet sitting. My schedule is very flexible, so I can easily adapt to your pet’s routine whether that means early walks, midday check ins, or overnight care. I’m also available for last minute bookings, weekends, and holidays. I provide care only in clients’ homes to keep pets comfortable in their familiar environment. I follow your instructions closely, maintain a clean and safe space, and make sure pets stick to their usual routine for meals, walks, and playtime. I also respect your home as if it were my own tidy, secure, and with clear communication throughout your time away.

About: Aloha! I’m Nea, a born-and-raised Kaua‘i girl now living in Honolulu near Ala Moana. I’ve grown up around and owned animals my whole life—horses, chickens, bunnies, birds, cats, and of course, dogs—and I’m truly an all-around animal lover! I get so much joy out of spending time with animals and helping care for others’ furry friends. Whether it’s a playful puppy, a senior needing a little extra TLC, or a quirky dog with specific routines, I genuinely love getting to know each one’s unique personality. I’ve raised and owned Border Collies and Australian Shepherds (you can see my parents dog, Tucker, a blonde collie, featured in a number of my photos), so I’m especially comfortable with high-energy breeds. However, I’ve worked with dogs of all types and temperaments. I’ve been a dog walker and sitter throughout high school and college, and through Rover for several years while living in NYC and back on Kaua‘i—so in total, I’ve been doing this as a side gig for about 15 years now. I’ve cared for everything from a tiny Chihuahua named Lolo to a 180lb Great Dane named Pebbles to a reactive hound named George who only did night walks. No matter the service (walks, drop-ins, etc), I treat every pet I work with like part of my family and love making their day brighter (and yours a little easier). My husband and I lost our beloved dog Logan last year due to cancer and, while we aren’t quite ready to welcome another pup into our home full-time, we’ve both gotten so much fulfillment from helping out other pet parents. I work from home as an education policy consultant, and I’m very lucky that my job offers a lot of flexibility and autonomy in scheduling. My workday typically starts early since my team is based on the mainland, which means I often wrap up by lunchtime and have plenty of time to spend with pups. Even during working hours, I can usually shift meetings or build in breaks to fit in a walk or drop-in visit. Overall, I’m able to accommodate most pet care routines. Whether it’s a quick morning walk, a lunchtime drop-in, or a longer afternoon outing for an energetic pup, I’m happy to tailor care to whatever works best for your dog! Weekends are also often wide open, and I’m more than happy to take clients then as well. At the moment, I’m unable to offer overnights or boarding in my home, but I do provide walks, drop-in visits, and in-your-home sitting throughout Honolulu. When I’m caring for your pup—whether I’m stopping by for a quick visit or staying for longer—you can count on me to treat your space with the same respect and care I would my own. I make it a point to send regular, thorough updates and plenty of photos throughout my time with your pet. I know firsthand how stressful it can be to leave your furry friend with someone else, and I want to ease that as much as possible for my clients by keeping you informed and connected every step of the way! I’m dependable, communicative, and focused on making sure both you and your pet feel comfortable and at ease. I keep routines consistent, follow your instructions closely, and am always prepared to respond quickly if something unexpected comes up.

About: I’ve been caring for dogs my whole life—from my childhood red-nosed pitbull, to my cousin’s playful French bulldogs, to my family’s current chihuahua. I’ve worked with dogs of all sizes, ages, and temperaments, and I know how to tailor care based on each pet’s unique personality and needs. Whether it’s a high-energy pup who loves playtime or a senior dog who needs a gentle walk and a lot of love, I’m confident and compassionate in handling it all. My calm, observant nature helps pets feel safe, seen, and cared for. I’m currently waiting for medical school to start, so my schedule is wide open most days—perfect for giving your pets the time and attention they deserve! Once school begins, I’ll still be available for walks and care, just on a more limited schedule. I’m happy to work with you to find times that fit both your needs and mine. When caring for pets in your home, I make it a priority to follow all instructions you provide—whether it’s feeding routines, medication, walk preferences, or house rules. I respect your space and your pet’s comfort, doing my best to keep their environment calm, safe, and familiar. I understand that trust is key, and I’ll treat your home and your pet with the same care and respect I would my own.

“Claudia was great with our cats while we were out of town for about 3 weeks - she took very good care of them and sent plenty photos. It’s great that she’s local too - so you can count on her 24/7 - will definitely book her again!”

“Great experience with Cheyenne! She provided excellent care - always prompt and taking time to ensure each visit was fully appreciated by our cat!”

About: Born & raised around dogs and cats. I understand how important they are & how they’re family more than anything. I’ve taken care of dogs from German Shepard’s to Labradors to Miniature Poodles etc. I’ve taken care of older dogs who need to take medicine and younger dogs who need to be house trained. Seen it all! I go on walks throughout the day & make sure food & water & temperature is all good. I work very close to home, so I am able to come home for lunch if necessary. Activity outside is just as important for animals as it is for humans. I live close to a fenced dog park & take toys with me for playtime!!

About: Hi I’m Chelsea! Dogs have always had my heart, and I am so excited to spend time with yours! I’ve grown up surrounded by animals and currently have a senior pup, so caring for furry friends is second nature to me. I truly love all animals, and meeting dogs on the street is honestly the highlight of my day. I’m all about making sure your pup feels safe, loved, and has the best time while you’re away. 🤗 I am currently a college student and because of that, have learned to manage my time well, allowing me to prioritize pet care. I’m available on Tuesdays and weekends, giving me plenty of time to make sure your pet gets the love and attention they deserve. When caring for pets in my clients' homes, I make sure to follow their routines as closely as possible, including feeding, walking, playtime, and any specific instructions they provide. I prioritize creating a calm and safe environment for their pets, offering them plenty of attention and care. I also ensure that the home is kept clean and that the pets feel comfortable and secure while their owners are away.

“Riley is the best cat sitter, she is very patient and caring for my timid cat, she sends photo updates every day and I can tell my cat really loves her. Would definitely recommend her.”

About: My lifelong immersion in animal care, having grown up with multiple pets including cats and a rabbit, means I understand diverse animal personalities and communication styles. I'm skilled at reading body language and adjusting my approach based on each dog's individual temperament and needs. As Ghost's dad, I bring hands-on experience managing a husky's unique energy and needs. This gives me practical knowledge of proper exercise routines, mental stimulation, and the special attention active breeds require. I have experience working with dogs requiring special care, having previously cared long-term for a Chow Chow with specific needs. This taught me how to adapt routines and provide attentive care for dogs with unique requirements. My background with multiple pets (cats and rabbits) means I understand different animal personalities and communication styles. I'm skilled at reading body language and adjusting my approach for each pet's comfort. As a UH graduate student, I'm detail-oriented and reliable. Being fully available throughout summer means your dog gets my complete, undivided attention. I provide photo updates and detailed reports so you'll know your furry family member is receiving loving, consistent care. As a graduate student currently on summer break from UH, I have the unique advantage of being completely free every day, all day, throughout the entire summer. This means pet care isn't something I need to squeeze between other commitments – it can be my primary focus. My open schedule allows me to: - Adapt completely to your pet's ideal routine rather than forcing them to adapt to mine - Offer flexibility for early morning walks, midday check-ins, or evening care - Provide longer, more attentive visits without rushing to my next appointment - Be available for last-minute requests or schedule changes - Give your pet my undivided attention during every visit Since I'm not balancing pet sitting with classes, work, or other major commitments this summer, I can truly dedicate myself to providing exceptional care for your pets. Whether your dog needs multiple walks throughout the day or your cat needs consistent company while you're away, my schedule is designed to prioritize your pet's needs and well-being. When caring for pets in your home, I prioritize maintaining their familiar environment and routine: - I follow your detailed care instructions precisely, respecting feeding schedules, medication times, and exercise routines - I spend quality time playing, cuddling, or simply providing companionship based on your pet's preferences - I keep your home secure, bringing in mail and alternating lights if requested - I send photo/video updates after each visit so you can see your pet is happy and comfortable - I leave detailed notes about eating, bathroom habits, behavior, and activities

“We love Char! She is prompt to respond to messages and is great to work with. Often available even when I'm late to book (aka always because I'm disorganized). She sends pictures and I can tell she genuinely cares for my Mrs. Snooze.”

Downtown pet parents share their Rover experiences
We came back from our trip yesterday morning and both of the kitties are waiting by the front door for Janey to come back. I’m so glad she accepted our request because the care and love that Vasquez and Hicks received was phenomenal. Hicks can be pretty temperamental and I’m pretty sure he’s in love with her forever! I highly, highly recommend Janey and we’re already planning to book with again! <3

Jamie was everything we asked for and more. She truly went above and beyond! For the two weeks we’re out of the country, she took the best care of our boys. Highly recommended! Will definitely request her services again! Thank you so much Jamie!!!!

Sydney is amazing! She truly went above and beyond for our two cats. She was flexible and receptive to their special needs, provided detailed updates and adorable photos, and added an immense sense of ease to our trip knowing they were in such great hands. Would highly recommend to anyone looking for kind, thoughtful, and reliable care in the area.

Riley was such a respectful, responsible and amazing rover! Our boys liked her from their first interaction and she was so responsive and gave great updates with photos. We would love to have her again in the future. Much mahalo!!

Andrea was great. She was able to get our shy kitty to come out of hiding and play and our kitties loved her.

So loving to my cats, even though one of them is a little bit grumpy. Grateful for her excellent communication. Wonderful sitter, the second time.

Sarai was great with my relatively high maintenance cats. One has asthma and needs a twice daily inhaler, and the other needs a twice daily lysine supplement for her eyes. They also need to be separated due to not getting along. Sarai was great at accommodating all their needs. I really appreciated the daily pictures :)

Crystal did a great job caring for our cats. She was able to bond with them and kept us informed of everything going on. Will definitely use her again in the future.

Jada watched my cats for a couple of days. One of them can be shy but they both warmed right up to her. She did a great job and I plan on using her again.

Isabel is very responsible and very good at playing with cats. She sent me many photos including one with a high-jumping cat that I’ve never seen my cat do. My cats clearly enjoyed Isabel’s visits.

We had Jessica watch our cat Blair for 10 days and she was amazing! She made sure to update us everyday and was very communicative through the entire time we were away. I highly recommend her!!

Calvin was such an amazing dog walker for Mochi during the whole week when we needed him for an afternoon drop-in visit each day! He paid great attention to Mochi’s specific needs and Mochi looked forward to seeing him every day! Thank you Calvin!

An incredible carer and one who has become very close to my cat and looked after her extremely well!

Briana was once again a fantastic sitter for our cat! She sent the sweetest pictures and was very communicative.

We are so grateful for Darby! This was our first time booking with her and at first we were so nervous because it was also the first time we were leaving island for over 2 weeks. She took amazing care of our 3 cats and sent lots of updates, photos, and videos. She even spent extra time with them and also made sure we came home to a clean house. I highly recommend her!

Madi was fantastic during a drop in visit. My dog can be very anxious and Madi knew exactly how to make Halle feel safe and at ease. Definitely adding Madi to my list of rovers to rely on.

Emma was great! Loved her daily updates and photos. Would definitely have her look after my kitties again!

Daniel was a fantastic sitter for my cat over the holidays. He was able to come around the same time every day and did everything needed for my cat and went above and beyond to anticipate my pets needs. He sent many photos and updates, and was very quick to respond when contacted. Daniel was great, hoping he is available the next time I travel!!
