“Reagan is amazing! She was so attentive to instructions for our elderly labradoodle who takes several medications throughout the day. Reagan was prompt to every drop-in time and super communicative. We came home to a reenergized dog who was clearly so very well taken care of!”

“Katie was amazing with our two crazy dogs! She was kind and respectful to our house and our routine. She cleaned up an accident for us and she came over to meet the dogs prior to the drop ins, which is super important! I would love to use Katie again in the future and I highly recommend her!”

“Jada was absolutely wonderful during her drop in visit! She graciously allowed me and my pup to meet her before booking. I really appreciated how patient and engaged she was; she went above and beyond to make sure my dog felt comfortable and happy. I’ll definitely be booking with her again!”

About: I’ve been around all types/sizes of dogs! I have taken care of many of my friends/neighbors pets. I have two dogs of my own and I know all the responsibility it takes! I have also volunteered at my local animal shelter for the past few years where I had to pass a test specifically on caring for dogs! I’m currently in school and working part-time, but in my free time I’d love to spend time with your pets! My schedule is also flexible enough that I can do weekly visits as I am very reliable and dependable. I will keep dogs on a leash at all times if there is not a fence. I am very aware of my surroundings so making sure all doors are closed, harness is on correctly, etc.
“Gracie is amazing!!! My husband and I added a new fur baby to our family and we were worried about having someone come and play with our Nala girl but thanks to people suggesting Rover I found Gracie! Gracie comes to do a drop-in visit for about an hour! Within that hour she lets Nala out, plays, and makes sure our girl is okay! I would highly suggest Gracie for any service you need for your fur babies!”

“Cody has been wonderful with Chip and consistently provides excellent drop-in visits. They are reliable, attentive, and always send thoughtful updates and pictures, which gives me great peace of mind while I’m away. Chip is clearly comfortable with them and always seems happy and well cared for. I’m very grateful to have someone I can trust for his recurring visits and would highly recommend them!”

About: I’ve grown up around pups all my life, and have a fur baby of my own! I also have been a dog groomer for about 5 years so dogs have been a part of my daily life for quite some time! During the day I work at the grooming salon and usually have free time after 3:30. Occasionally I may stay an hour or two later depending on how busy the day was! I’m free on Wednesdays, Thursdays, and every other Sunday! I strive to be very attentive, and can accommodate any way I can popping in and out for your fur babies! I can also take trips to grab items, food, or anything else that may be needed!

I am currently a part-time caregiver to a special-needs little boy. I am available to pet sit or house sit on Wednesdays, Thursdays, Saturday and Sunday. Overnight care available as well. I am very sensitive to yours and your pets needs. I will follow any schedule to a T including any medication’s needed or dietary restrictions. About: I love caring for animals and I've taken care of many kinds of animals for as long as I can remember. I've had dogs with extra needs (emotional & physical) and senior dogs for many years and I'm happy to help with any needs your pup(s) may have. I love to make simple homemade plant-based treats from scratch and will be happy to share some with your babies too! (with your permission) If your pup has their own favorite treats, of course I'd be happy to share those as well. My dogs have always been my world and I know yours are just as special to you, so when they're in my care they'll be loved just like my own. My schedule is very flexible and I'm free most weekdays and weekends. We can go for strolls around my quiet neighborhood and play outside. Or we can hang out inside and play or just relax; whatever their hearts desire, I'll do my best to make it happen for them. I have a large fenced in back yard in a quiet neighborhood. Plenty of room to run and play. All dogs are fed separately to help ensure their safety (exceptions can be made for dogs from the same household who are accustomed to eating together, granted there are no other dogs around). I have plenty of space in the home to allow everyone their own space if needed. I'll be sending you updates and photos of your fur babies throughout their stay.
“Our dogs, Sammy and Bentley loved Jennifer P! They had a wonderful time together on the drop in visits. She came at the requested times, took care of them, gave a report and pics after each visit. Great job! We felt confident being out of town with Jennifer caring for our dogs . thank you!!”

About: I’ve grown up around animals my entire life, and caring for them has always been a huge part of who I am. I currently have one cat with me at college and three more waiting for me at home, so I understand how important it is to find someone you can trust with your pets. I volunteer with the Humane Society and a local cat rescue, Comfort Cats, where I help care for cats in need. I am also Fear Free Certified, which means I prioritize reducing stress and creating a safe, positive experience for every pet. I’m currently on the pre-veterinary track in college, and my passion for animal health and welfare continues to grow every day. Whether your pet needs playtime, walks, feeding, medication, or simply lots of love and attention, I’ll treat them as if they were my own. I am currently a full-time college student, but I make it a priority to provide dependable care for every pet I work with. My class schedule allows me to be flexible throughout the week, and I have even more availability on weekends. I plan my schedule carefully so your pets receive the attention, exercise, and companionship they deserve while you’re away. Your pet’s safety, comfort, and routine are my top priorities. I understand that every pet is unique, so I take the time to follow your instructions and maintain their normal schedule as closely as possible. As a Fear Free Certified caregiver and pre-veterinary student, I’m trained to recognize signs of stress and provide calm, compassionate care. I will treat both your pets and your home with the same respect and care that I would my own, and I’ll always keep you updated with photos and messages so you can have peace of mind while you’re away.

Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.
House sitting can be ideal for cats who need socialization or care that lasts longer than a few hours. Your cat stays in their own home, on their own schedule, with care based on what you and your sitter agree on together.
Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Dixiana. On Rover:

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
