About: I’ve cared for dogs my whole life and truly love having them around. I do tend to spoil them, but I always follow the instructions you, the parent, provide. I have had senior dogs and puppies and always give them the extra care they need. We are a retired couple and always enjoy having a dog around us. We have plenty of time to play with pups, and give them lots of love. We have a fenced in backyard to play in, comfortable beds to sleep in. We won’t be taken in other family's dogs while yours is here.
“Alani took great care of my senior dog for the day and was able to accommodate my last minute request. My dog Rocko was happy as can be! She sent photos and was super responsive to my communication. Overall a great experience!”

“Carrie was wonderful. My goldendoodle puppy is a tired girl after her stay ( a tired puppy is a happy puppy) There was a nice large yard for her to run around. Carrie was excellent!”

“Gilbert is the best Rover host I’ve had the pleasure of using to watch Leo. I was provided videos throughout the day and Leo played hard with Gilbert’s dog Moon all day. I couldn’t be happier and I’m going back tomorrow for one more day. Gilbert was also very flexible with my schedule as I hit a snag during my business in Providence.”

“This was my first time using Rover or someone other than family to watch my dog (past or present). We started with a short daycare visit for our current rescue, Gracie. Leanne provided multiple updates, pictures and I ended the visit knowing my dog was in good hands with proper care. Leanne and her family are warm and welcoming and made Gracie part of their family during the visit. I will definately be back for future daycare or boarding needs. Thank you”

“ANELY is an AMAZING sitter!!!! She kept me in the loop with Henny’s time with her. I received pictures and updates on how she was doing! Henny’s behavior when I picked her up both days can tell me she had a good time and the plus side she was able to mingle with her son and OTHER PUPS!!!! Thank you a lot for taking care of my baby!!!”

“Being the first time I have ever left a dog (child) with anyone, I was pretty apprehensive. Vanessa made the process easier than can be, was warm, updated us throughout the day, and was an absolute pleasure. Would 100% use again anytime our little one needs a sitter. A+”

“Keasha was great! She watched my 4 month old puppy for the day and he had a great time. He is a little shy and she really helped him gain more confidence. He came home exhausted after a fun day of walks, playing outside, and cuddles.”

“Jessica is a GEM!!!! I was nervous about finding someone to take care of my pup who can be nervous in new situations/people and had some health stuff going on, but Jessica did everything to make her feel comfortable and cared for, and now my girl LOVES hanging out with Jessica and Abu!! Jessica also did everything to make ME, nervous dog mom, comfortable by sending lots of sweet videos and pictures of my pup having a grand ol' time. Jessica is the best!”

About: I have been taking care of animals big and small for as long as I can remember! When I was in my early teens I started pet sitting, and once I was 18 I began working on local horse farms; mucking stalls, and learning as much as I could along the way. I take pride in knowing I am knowledgeable and dependable; I’ve fulfilled duties as grand as farm/kennel sitting- (meticulous care; maintaining medicine and feed schedules, cleaning services, turn in and out, organization of multiple and large quantity of animals at a time) …. I’ve spent time with all different types of personalities of all different species; aggressive ankle biters to couch potato gentle giants. Over the past decade and a half I have enjoyed the company of horses, goats, chickens, rabbits, pigs, cattle, dogs, cats, birds and reptiles. I love animals and I love providing quality care. I am observant and trustworthy- feel free to ask me anything!! I would like to make this more than part time! I have a very flexible schedule as of lately with no obligations aside from being busy a few early mornings out of the week; as I do work on a farm still as needed. Shoot me a message and let’s talk scheduling! I have a private backyard, not fenced in but I am more than vigilant and always have time and patience for leash walks and hikes, and leashed/supervised backyard shenanigans. Whatever you and your animal are comfortable with; we will make it happen and I can accommodate accordingly.
“Our sweet deaf pup stayed with Annmarie for the day and she couldn't have been safer and happier. This was our first Rover experience, so there was a bit of anxiety dropping our puppy off at a stranger's house. However, Annmarie made us feel welcome through her ongoing communication before, during, and after the visit, and I felt a sense of relief knowing that our special needs dog was well cared for. I highly recommend this host for your doggy day care needs.”

About: I have taken care of and have had my own pets for over 30 years. I have a fenced in backyard, along with trails in a wooded area on my property that make it a great adventure for all pets. I work part-time taking care of animals and I'm always available to give your animals the attention they deserve. I am available most days and for overnight care. I would like to especially focus on families with friendly, small breeds that are looking for a safe place to shelter their pet. I have two friendly pugs that make a great social environment for your dogs. There are many gates/doors in the home that can be used to separate and make sure all dogs feel safe when needed.
“I can tell Ace had a very good time with Kat and her family. I felt relaxed and at ease leaving him with her, which is so rare for me. Definitely recommend her services.”

“5 stars! Kim took the time to answer all of my questions during our meet and greet. You can immediately tell how passionate she is about animals. Huey is my first dog so I get slightly nervous leaving him but Kim sent a ton of photos during the day so I felt at ease! We are on our second day in a row of daycare and I will definitely continue to use Kim in the future!”

“Nicole & Ryan are absolutely amazing!! They are responsive, kind, and accommodating. We felt very comfortable leaving our dog in their care and cannot recommend them enough. Will definitely be reaching out again and we know our dog is just as excited as we are to have found a good match!”

About: Hello, I’m a Brown University graduate who gave up on the corporate life to live off my art and my passion for animals. I’ve always had pets in my life, especially cats, and I’ve been caring for them since I was a kid. Growing up, I also helped watch my neighbors’ pets whenever they needed an extra hand. Now, I’m a proud dog mom to Bonnie, a sweet Australian Shepherd/German Shepherd mix I share with my partner. Because she’s our first dog, we dove deep into research—while at Brown, we studied canine behavior and body language to better understand how dogs communicate and what they need to feel safe and happy. That knowledge has been invaluable in helping us welcome pet guests into our home. When your pets stay with us, they’ll be treated just like Bonnie—with cuddles, love, fun walks, playtime, and plenty of care. My goal is always to make them feel at home, comfortable, and loved. My schedule is very flexible, so I have plenty of time to walk, feed, play with, and cuddle your pets throughout the day. Whether they need extra attention, long walks, or just companionship, I’m here to make sure they always feel cared for. The first priority for me when caring for animals is safety. I pay close attention to the environment and make sure pets are always comfortable and secure. For dogs, I have a safe yard where they can play, take potty breaks, or just relax outside. I also live in a very pet-friendly neighborhood, perfect for safe walks and trips to the park. For cats, my home is equipped with window protection so they can’t slip outside (unless they are leash-trained or outdoor cats whose owners prefer outside time). I always respect each owner’s preferences—whether that means leash walks, indoor-only care, or a specific routine. If not in my own house, it's my pleasure to go to the owners house to take care of the cats! I will check the whole house to make sure everything is in order, clean everything, feed, hang out and play with the little ones! I pay attention to each animal’s unique needs. I believe communication is key, so I’ll always ask questions and keep in touch to make sure we’re on the same page.

As of August 2026, there are 2,212 sitters on Rover offering Doggy Day Care across Dighton. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.
Sitters on Rover can offer flexible scheduling, so you can coordinate times that work best for you and your pet—whether that’s early drop-off or later pick-up to match your Dighton commute.
If your schedule changes, it’s best to let your sitter know through the app as early as possible. Many sitters can adjust pick-up and drop-off times when needed.
Think of doggy day care as your dog’s fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your workday. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalized environment for your pup.
A typical day can include companionship, one-on-one attention, and same day pick-up and drop-off. Many sitters can also offer structured routines and exercise throughout the day. For recurring, weekly day care, sitters will include photo updates so you can see your dog in their element.
Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:
- For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
- For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socializing needs.
- For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.
Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in MA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, Rover is well-suited for finding sitters who can care for your pet within 24 hours. With 2,212 sitters in Dighton, 87% respond to messages in under an hour.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
