About: I’ve loved and cared for animals since I was a kid. Over the years, I’ve volunteered at animal shelters and have five pets of my own, all of whom I adore. I truly believe that pets are family and deserve to be treated with the same love, care, and kindness that we give to our loved ones. :) My schedule is quite flexible, allowing me to accommodate drop-in visits throughout the day as needed. Please feel free to reach out with any question. I’m always happy to help and discuss your pet’s care needs. At this time, I am available to provide drop-in visits for your pet. I am committed to following all care instructions carefully to ensure your pet remains comfortable, safe, and well cared for while you are away.
About: I’ve taken care of animals ever since I was a kid. We've always had dogs in our home and I’ve always had a special connection with each one…even when they weren’t technically “mine”. My dogs are my world and I’ve prided myself in the quality of life they have received. Not only do I treat my dogs this way, but I’ve also extended that same level of care and love to dogs of family/friends. From time to time, I’ve been entrusted to dog sit for family members and close friends. From doing drop-ins, overnight stays, bathing, walking and administering medications. I’ve just recently completed a training program with my dog, I am no professional but I have learned skills that can help me with other animals and maintain trainings your dog may already have. Weekdays: I work full-time and I work from home. Depending on distance, I can do drop-ins - Before 8:00AM - Between 12:00-1:00PM - After 5:00PM, available to walk Weekends: Saturday - Open, walks available Sunday - Before 10:00AM and After 12:30PM, walks available For clients I have cared for, I’ve been able to keep dogs company and let them out of their crate to stretch their legs/play with them, feed them, put them back in crates once leaving (If dog is usually crates), let them out to use restroom and pick up after them. If needed, take the dogs to walk. I don’t take them to dog parks if there are other dogs present, but walking is fine.
About: One family @ a time 😊 Welcome to the Eck family. My husband & I have been dog sitting for our friends for many years. Our experience has been fostering dogs until they found their forever home & watching our friends dogs and house sitting when they needed us. We love dogs of all breeds. My husband works from home 2 days a week and I am retired. We can be here for your babies all day. We would love to know details on how we can take the best care of your sweet babies. We often walk the dogs but we also have a back yard for them to run around safely. We give lots of belly rubs and petting. We can’t wait to meet you 😊 I am currently retired & staying home, making this my full time job. My husband is working from home, 2 days a week,so we are here at your service and can take great care of your fur babies! Our adult daughter is our committed helper and has had many years of experience with animals. My Husband can come to your house or they can stay at our house. We treat each dog special, because each dog has their own needs. We love it when you give us details about your dog and what kind of schedule you would like to have. Don’t hesitate to ask us for any special requests, and we will do them if it all possible.
“Kira was very accommodating to my fur babies whom can be a bit of a hassle sometimes. Also was flexible for me as needed. Thank you Kira! I would definetly book again any time I’m away from home.”

“The best! So thankful for Traci, my work hours are crazy and she was always so amenable to helping me out whenever I was in a pinch! She is so caring and helpful with my girls! Was so helpful with my special needs girl and even with cleaning up after she destroyed her own diaper. Just the best!”

“Ashley did an amazing job for our two dogs. One of our dogs is older and a rescue with a couple of quirks. Ashley went out of her way to make her feel comfortable and included. 10 out of 10, would highly recommend.”
“Evan was fantastic! Super kind, detailed in her daily assessment of my cat, and left my place just as she found it. My cat really enjoyed his time with her as well!!! Super thankful for Evan!”

“Devon is the greatest! He is friendly, dependable, and has a very high level of care for my trio of pups! I had to alter the details (changed time slightly) and he was very accommodating. I trust him fully. A+++ we will look forward to the next visit in the future.”

“Fabulous job! Erin was professional, responsible, patient and kind. Our dogs are nervous and reserved around strangers and I was worried leaving them with a sitter. Erin took extra time for them to get to know and trust her, both before we booked her and every time she came to our home. She was understanding with my detailed/worried parent instructions, she carried out what we asked of her, and she even visited the dogs earlier than needed when she had the time. Erin sent daily updates and photos of our dogs. They were taken great care of and I will definitely use Erin again.”

“Anisa is great and treats our puppy exactly the same as we do, which is the most important thing to me. She gives him her full attention and is always engaging, taking the time to truly bond with him during each visit. I will definitely continue to look for her when Dante needs walks or a midafternoon break!”

“Rachel did an amazing job! She kept us updated during our entire trip and was very lovable to our little fur baby! She spent quality time with her and made sure she got the attention she needed! I definitely recommend Rachel to anyone and will for sure be using her again!”

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Dickinson
This was our first time using Tori. She did an amazing job. I was impressed when she showed up to meet our babies with a pen and notepad ready for instructions. Everything we asked was taken care of. 10 out of 10 would use her again and recommend her to anyone looking.

Delaney is so so amazing! I’ve booked with her twice now for my reactive shepherd/pit mix and she is so great with him. She understands dog behavior and is very accommodating. She always sends pictures and updates so I’m never worried about my pup when I’m away. Highly recommend!!

For our first experience using Rover, Mia was absolutely spot on with how she handled drop-ins. From playing with our pets, feeding them and even cleaning up an accident. It’s easy to tell she is very comfortable with various types of sizes in dogs. We highly recommend her service!

Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Dickinson choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
While Rover doesn’t offer traditional subscription services, some sitters offer recurring bookings for services like home visits and dog walking. Recurring services come with their own perks, such as flexibility to modify services (up to five weeks in advance), automatic billing, Rover Card updates, and same-day cancellations.
To find sitters in Dickinson with recurring or weekly availability, select "Repeat Weekly" and which days you’d like them to care for your pet.
