I’ve spent over 15 years working with dogs, including fostering more than 60 German Shepherds through local rescues. I’m experienced with a wide range of temperaments, from high-energy dogs to seniors who need a slower pace and extra care. I’m comfortable with feeding routines, administering medications, and understanding dog behavior to keep them safe and comfortable. I take the time to learn each dog’s personality and needs so they feel at ease and loved. I currently have an older German Shepherd, so I’m especially familiar with senior care and mobility needs. I take pride in being reliable, communicative, and someone you can trust with your pet.

Dogs in my home are treated like part of the family. I have an older, well-trained German Shepherd and over 15 years of experience fostering more than 60 dogs, so I am very comfortable with introductions, different temperaments, and creating a safe, structured environment. I share my home with Duke, my senior German Shepherd. Duke has successfully lived with numerous foster dogs and is comfortable around a wide variety of canine personalities. He is a confident, social dog who enjoys interacting with other dogs and having canine company in the home. Because every dog is different, I carefully evaluate each boarding request to ensure a good fit for everyone. I follow each dog’s routine closely, including feeding schedules, walks, medications, and any special care they may need. My experience, maturity, and genuine love for dogs guide how I care for them and help ensure they feel comfortable, secure, and well cared for while you’re away. I prioritize safety, clear communication, and providing a positive experience for both pets and their owners.

This is the first time we used Dawn; she did an outstanding job in every category. She really is a pet lover for sure. She met all of our times as requested. Loved the report cards she sent to us, loved all of the pictures included. Not was it only a great service, she trained one of our dogs from the light biting or rushing the door when opened. Schedule
I work full-time, but I plan my schedule carefully to make sure pets in my care get consistent attention and a reliable routine. I’ve previously fostered dogs full-time in my home, so I’m very comfortable managing daily care. I keep my calendar up to date and only accept bookings I can fully commit to, so your pet receives consistent and reliable care.

- Please let me know about your dog’s personality, energy level, crate-training experience, and how they interact with other dogs. Because I have a resident senior German Shepherd, boarding guests should be comfortable around larger dogs and able to coexist peacefully with other dogs. I also appreciate knowing about any medical needs, anxiety, resource guarding, or behaviors that may help me provide the best care possible.
