About: Hi! My name is Shayna Malonson, and I’ve always had a deep love for animals—especially dogs. I grew up with dogs my entire life, and now as an adult with my own home, I’m lucky to have two of my own: Ally (4 years old) and King (2 years old). They are a huge part of my daily life and have taught me so much about responsible, loving care. I personally bathe my dogs, brush their teeth, and handle their basic grooming after learning how to properly care for them myself. Through experience—especially managing my older dog’s dry skin—I’ve learned a lot about different dog food brands, skin-care products, and overall dog wellness. This has helped me become very attentive to each dog’s individual needs. In my free time, I enjoy playing fetch, going on simple walks, and giving my dogs plenty of love and attention. I understand how important it is to trust someone with your pets, and I would love the opportunity to care for your dogs as if they were my own—making sure they feel safe, happy, and well cared for while you’re away. Pet care fits easily into my daily routine. I’m home often and able to give dogs consistent attention throughout the day. My schedule allows me to plan feeding times, potty breaks, walks, playtime, and rest periods without rushing. I follow each pet’s routine closely, including feeding schedules, potty breaks, walks, playtime, and any special instructions provided by the owner. I’m experienced with basic grooming care such as bathing and brushing, and I pay close attention to skin sensitivity, diet needs, and overall well-being. When caring for pets in a client’s home, I respect their space and maintain the pet’s normal routine to reduce stress. I ensure doors, gates, and leashes are always secure, and I never leave pets unattended outside. Trust and communication are very important to me. About: I’ve grown up around multiple pets my whole life and truly love being around animals. Some people even call me the “pet whisperer” because I’m very patient and naturally connect well with pets. I enjoy walks, playtime, cuddles, and making animals feel as comfortable and loved as possible. I’m also good with shy, picky, sick, senior, or stubborn pets and understand that every pet deserves personalized care and attention. I work from home most of the week and off on the weekends which gives me plenty of time for pet care in my weekly routine. If I will be pet sitting, I will be in your home- keeping things clean & respectful of your things, while providing safety and comfort to your pets. I can medicate, give insulin and prepare special diets. I’m also trained in animal first aid and I excel at following directions. Animal care is all I do. I can do daily walks/visits up to 3 times a day. I’m also available for house sitting and overnights. I have a number of clients in the Baton Rouge area with different pet care needs and I make my own schedule. I stick to their usual daily routine or follow whatever instructions are left. I like to keep a consistent visit/feeding/potty time. I have a lot of patience and will encourage your pet to socialize with me. We can do whatever they like, play with toys, take walks, eat treats, rub backs or just sit together. I also water plants, check mail/paper and keep a general an eye on things.

Please bring your baby’s food and anything they prefer that you like make them more comfortable. They may prefer a certain toy, treat, blanket, etc. Feel free to bring those items. I am a single mom. About: Pets are more than just animals. They are part of our families and deserv to be spoiled and loved since they are only with us for a short time. I do transports for rescues as often as possible to help as many as possible to find loving homes. I currently have two dogs and between jobs so my availabilty is pretty open. I can't do overnight/house sit because of my two boys, but can check in and visit anytime. I'm available for walks and house visits, but can't do overnights. I can check or visit at any time though. I treat all animals as good, if not better than my own. I appreciate their various personalites and quirks. One of mine is reactive towards mainly men and other dogs, so I understand some need special attention that others may not. They are all unique individuals.

About: Part time for Rover but will give you and your baby my full time attention! I love animals and I even used to work at a no-kill Animal Shelter (I don't have veterinarian experience). I've lived on a farm for 10 years and had plenty of pets, exotic and native, so I'm familiar with the oddities that come with the territory of an animal that can't really tell you what's wrong. I own two 6 year old 20lb fur babies myself and they are the friendliest cats you could meet. They love Dogs but if you're pup doesn't like cats that's okay. I’ll also provide regular updates and photos, so you can have peace of mind knowing your pet is happy and well cared for. I’m currently working remotely and part time. This leaves me plenty of time to care for pets on weekdays and weekends, throughout the day. Early mornings and late evenings are no problem. We have a private fenced in yard for those that need ample activity. Pets are cared for in the home but also have their own room for when they need a quiet corner.

It can be stressful trying to work or go on vacation and constantly worrying about your four-legged family members. You can rest assured that your pet(s) will be in good hands. I work full-time Mon-Fri from 8 am until 4 pm. I’m available for lunchtime potty and play breaks if needed. My nights and weekends are free to give your fur family the attention and care they deserve. I do not offer boarding services as I have a kitten that prefers to be the only four legged creature inside of the house at all times. I may not know everything, but I know enough to care for animals in a compassionate manner.
