“She is amazing. She handles our pit bull and German Shepard marvelously. We had to go out of town and needed some one on short notice. We did a quick meet and greet. The dogs took to her right away. We left out on our honeymoon and she sent up photos and videos every day. She took them on walks to the local park and played with them throughout the day. She was careful to remember their regime and food in take. She stayed at the house with them and we had no complaints. The house was clean and in perfect condition. She’s our go to person anytime we go out of town. We highly recommend her.”

About: I’ve worked with many different types of dogs. I grew up with dogs and they are a big part of my life. From big to small I’ve worked with them all. I’m am working part time jobs and trying to find different forms of work. I also enjoy working with animals so I wanted to give rover a shot The pets in my house are spoiled and I make sure they have fresh water and food daily. I play with my Shepard everyday either doing frisbee or walks around my pond.

“I have known Jennifer Alford for at least 10 years. She was a volunteer foster home for my animal rescue, Rebecca's Rainbow. We took in pets from people who had passed away or had lost their independence and could no longer care for a pet. This included all pets and Jennifer cared for dogs primarily. The fact that I trust Jennifer to care for any of my pets in my absence, so that i could go on a vacation, or I knew I was dying is the highest level of praise I can bestow upon someone. While she was not a professional pet sitter; she deserves more respect because she was an unpaid pet sitter. She didn't have a choice as to which dogs she took in. Obviously, I tried to match a pet to her current charges and home situation but that was not always possible. She took in any dog, put her hand up instantly for any dog, she even took the dogs with behavioral issues such as fear aggression and biting. Nearly all of the dogs we took in needed a home ASAP and she was on board to receive them. Additionally, they all needed medical care having been neglected. Jennifer, being highly organized, managed the dogs, their appointments, diagnostics and visits with specialists, making countless trips to help get these dogs on track. They were fed excellent quality food, fresh water, provided with appropriate toys, big soft bedding, a secure fenced in environment, walks and ball play. Her home was immaculate, the yard picked up of feces, and everything about it was sunny and joyful. What makes Jennifer "awesome" and a great pet sitter? She is honest, open, welcoming, funnier than heck, and she makes people and dogs feel cared for and that they are important. It is sometimes said that the best "dog" people are not always the best "people" people. While there could be truth in that, I would never want to leave my dog with glum or negative people. If the human is no fun for me to be around, why would I want my dog to be influenced by such sadness? Jennifer is a treasure and anyone looking for a top notch pet sitter should simply call Jennifer. She will talk to the pet owner, send a video, pictures so that every day you will know that the pet is in great shape and safe. That's all we want to be sure of; that our pet is safe and has not been sold or given away or simply allowed to wander out the front door. Pets in a new environment are typically a flight/escape risk and it takes a knowledgeable person to understand this. It takes a truly giving and conscientious person to recognize that a pet owner is aware of this and will do anything needed to provide peace of mind. With much experience with "dog medical care", she knows when to get a dog into emergency or urgent care and will make sure that happens. She doesn't necessarily need to rack up big bills just for a little upchuck or diarrhea. She will watch those things carefully and contact the owner if possible to let them make the decision going forward. “Taylor is a very caring and loving person. She’s not only great at taking care of her dog but is always looking out for the wellbeing of the people and animals around her. One day I got a call from her that a duck had broken its leg outside her apartment and that people were trying to kill it. She had not only stopped the people from killing it but once I got to her place, we drove the duck to the nearest animal hospital for help where the duck was saved. I feel like many people would’ve done nothing and let that duck die but her kind soul jumped in to help. I know any animal under her care is in safe hands and their owner should have zero doubts about the safety and well-being of their fur babies under Taylor’s supervision.”

About: Retired registered nurse. Thirty + years of care for dogs, cars, birds, fish, horses and small exotics. Member of NAPPS, insured and bonded and pet CPR certified. I’m available daily Sunday through Saturday 7am-7pm, and holidays. Boarding overnight in my home for small pets under 25 pounds or less. Outside play in fenced yard. In home visits include feeding and watering, walks, companionship, some grooming and administration of topical and oral medication. I provide boarding or daycare in my home.
