“Wife was very nervous leaving her baby with someone new while we went on vacation. Cache was wonderful with daily updates and pictures/videos. Would definitely recommend her and be a repeat client.”

“They were great with Bailey, communicated just the right amount of times to help us feel at ease while far away, that he was doing okay. When he arrived home, he was calm and relaxed, and that's a sure sign for us that he was well cared for and felt comfortable. Would highly recommend and definitely will use them again. Thank you for letting us enjoy our time with our family without worrying about Bailey. :-)”

“David was incredibly responsive, kind and easy to work with! He took on my elderly 16 year old pup within a 24 hour notice after we found out our Airbnb didn’t allow dogs :( He took great care of her and sent daily updates which we really appreciated! She felt right at home with him and he made us feel very comforted knowing she was in good hands! Will definitely rejoin with him in the future :)”

About: Hello everyone, I am Victoria! I’ve been caring for animals since childhood as I grew up on a decent amount of acreage with a constant rotation of three German shepherds, cats, parrots, small animals, and chickens; all of my dogs have passed and I’ve gotten high marks in their training sessions, so if you're working on something important with your dog; let me know! I am also versed in caring for other critters as well, no matter the species, and can administer medicine or a special diet for your pet. I look forward to working with you! Time management is my best friend and my energy level has made for very easy scheduling of my pets needs. Playtime is just as important as potty time and I will ensure that your pet gets both! My eyes will always be on your loved ones. As a multiple animal owner, I have had cats with strict diets, high energy dogs, and also puppies that tried relentlessly to get into things; all of which were avoided by giving love and praise, paying close attention to their environment, and setting them up for success. I have a keen eye for detail and I would never let anything happen to your animals (I would treat them as my own & protect them of course)!
“Our two pups had the best time with Margaret. She sent daily updates and pictures so we knew about all of their daily activities and how they were doing. We felt very comfortable with the dogs being in her care. We would definitely recommend Margaret to others in need of a dog sitter.”
“I totally and wholeheartedly recommend Laura! This was my 1st time ever boarding my 2 small dogs, and she made me feel so at ease from the very beginning of this new process. Seeing all the great reviews, I was assured that my dogs were in good hands with Laura. She took awesome care of my dogs and stayed in touch daily with pictures and updates. Laura is my #1 when the need comes up again. Thank you so much Laura! You are a blessing to the dogs you take in!”

“Sheronda was great! Communicated often with us, sent us lots of great photos of our dog, and did a great job socializing him with the other dogs (making him comfortable). She has a great back yard (fenced in), with lots of great areas to walk dogs. Overall we are super pleased, will be booking with them again!”

“Excellent, excellent, excellent! Vera where were you when my children were in daycare??! Your professionalism is outstanding! My family and I truly appreciate you and the care you give our fur baby! Thank you again. We will see you soon.”

“So glad I found Tiffany when I was I unexpectedly needed boarding. As a first time boarder she made me feel incredibly comfortable and made the experience completely smooth and stress free. She has the perfect setup for the comfort of the dogs and I can tell my dog had a great experience in her care. Will definitely look to use her again for any future needs.”

“Sparky had an incredible stay with Patrick and Sara and his pups. He came back home exhausted and happy. Got regular updates from Patrick on the hikes that he took sparky on and the amazing time that he was having there. He paid attention to the instructions that we gave him. Would definitely recommend and rebook!!”

“Saskia watched our two dogs at her home, and we had a great experience! They were both very well taken care of, and Saskia sent us several photos throughout their stay, which we really appreciated. Our dogs seemed to have a great time and got along really well with her dogs. It gave us peace of mind knowing they were in good hands while we were away. We will definitely be booking with Saskia again!”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Delmar
Our little dog, Riley, had a great time with Marisa and the other dogs staying there at the same time. When we picked him up he was full of energy but when we got him in the car he looked back at the house like he didn't want to leave. Marisa was very helpful with updates on Riley when we asked her.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in NY ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
