“This was the first time I used Rover and specifically Kathleen. She did a wonderful job of taking care of my dog, Charlie. I when to visit my sister and her family and was in need of someone to do a home visit while I was away. While gone, I received multiple pictures chronicling Charlie’s walks and reports of his activities while on each walk. The attention to detail certainly put my mind at ease. When I returned home, Charlie didn’t seem stressed at all which was always a concern when I boarded him at a pet resort/hotel.”

About: I have had animals in my life since I was a young child. I’m in my 40s and I grew up for half of my childhood on a farm. My adult years I’ve always had dogs and cats. I currently have two family pets. A dachshund mix and a cute adorable Frenchie. They’re just an absolute joy in our life. We are transplants from Michigan, so I have a lot of time on my hands being that we have no family here. I currently work 75% of the time at home so my ability to care for them is great. They get a lot of individualized attention as well and live in a very safe neighborhood that can take walks daily. I care for pets in our home. We do have pets of our own that I make sure that they’re socialized with and that they’re adjusted to. If there are any issues, we do have the ability to cage our dogs and two separate. Our home is all wood floor and no carpeting so that is also very helpful. We have a fenced in backyard as well for their safety.

“Kris was absolutely wonderful to work with! She was very responsive and timely. Very friendly!! Our dogs loved her and she was so good about keeping us informed of what was going on. Will definitely use her again!!”

About: I have taken care of all types of dogs varying many sizes. I have a dog of my own who I rescued 5 years ago! I have watched many dogs at a time for varying people when going out of town. I also help my family members by taking their active pet on walks and to the dog park when needed! I love all dogs of any size or breed. I take care of my own pet daily! I am a teacher with afternoons open for walks and pet sitting! My summer time schedule is flexible due to school being out. I have a friendly dog for yours to play with if needed when going on walks. This is great for getting extra energy out! I am comfortable going on walks outside with any size dog and accommodating any of the pets needs. I have a personal dog who takes medication for his ears and have given insulin to dogs in the past. I have experience administering medication if needed!

About: What sets me apart from other sitters is the level of attention, care, and communication I bring to every pet and family I work with. I treat pets like family and genuinely take time to learn their personalities, routines, and needs so they feel safe and happy while their owners are away. I also have hands-on experience with both puppies and senior dogs. I’ve helped with crate training, potty training, and reinforcing good behavior in puppies, as well as providing gentle, patient care for older pets who may need help with mobility, medication, or extra comfort. In addition to my reliability and calm presence, I always keep pet parents updated with regular messages, photos, and any observations. Whether it’s a quick drop-in visit or overnight care, I take pride in being someone families can fully trust with their furry loved ones. Pet care fits naturally into my routine because I genuinely enjoy being around animals and caring for them. I make time each day to check in on pets, whether it’s walking, feeding, playing, or just keeping them company. I’m organized and plan my schedule in a way that allows me to be dependable and flexible for pet visits or sitting needs. Since I already structure my week to include work and personal responsibilities, I make sure pet care is a priority and never feels rushed. Whether it’s daily drop-ins, weekend overnight stays, or longer-term routines, I’m consistent and communicative, so pet parents know they can count on me. When caring for pets in a client’s home, I focus on making sure their routines stay consistent and comfortable. I follow any instructions closely—whether it’s feeding schedules, medication, walk times, or play routines—so the pet feels safe and cared for in their familiar space. I always respect the home, keep things tidy, and make sure the pet has everything they need before I leave. I also send regular updates and photos to keep pet parents informed and reassured. If I’m caring for pets in my own home (if applicable), I create a calm, pet-friendly environment with designated spaces for eating, sleeping, and playing. I slowly introduce them to the new space, maintain their usual schedule, and make sure they get lots of love, attention, and exercise while they’re here. No matter where I’m providing care, the goal is always to make the pet feel secure, loved, and stress-free.

About: I’m not even sure where to begin with my love for animals. Ever since I was a child we always had pets in our home; guinea pigs, rabbits, lizards, cats, and of course dogs. Currently, I have a nine year old German Shepard mix and eight year old Husky mix we adopted. They are best friends! I think my dog thinks she is a cat. Having raised both of my pets since they were little, I’ve learned how to potty train, walk without pulling, and different little tricks to keep us happy. With my 15 years of experience I have learned that patience and love are so incredibly important when caring for our pets. They are our family and deserve the same level of care we would give our own birth children. I am energetic, caring, hard working and reliable. I promise to love your pet as if it were my own! Pet care is naturally woven into my daily routine—it’s something I genuinely enjoy and prioritize. I structure my day around the pets in my care, making sure they receive consistent attention, exercise, and affection. Whether it’s morning walks, mid-day playtime, or evening check-ins, I plan my schedule to be present and attentive to each pet’s needs. I treat every dog like they’re my own, and my routine is flexible enough to accommodate feeding times, medication schedules, and outdoor breaks. Providing a calm, safe, and loving environment is a part of my everyday rhythm—and it’s one of the most rewarding parts of my week. In my home, I provide a safe, clean, and relaxed environment with regular walks, playtime, and lots of love. I follow each pet’s routine closely, including feeding and any medications. When caring for pets in a client’s home, I stick to their schedule to keep things familiar and stress-free, while keeping pet parents updated every step of the way.

About: I have been taking care of different breeds/ages of dogs since I was 15 (My mom brings new foster dogs home all the time). I have moved out, but I still help her with taking care of them from time to time. I also have my own pup named Scooby that I’ve had for 5 years. I currently work full time at a retail job (mostly 2-10:30 PM), so I am available in the morning hours to check in on/walk your pets. I am typically off all day on Thursdays and at least one weekend day. I am at an apartment so I cannot offer boarding, but I may be able to house sit occasionally. I do have a dog as well though so I couldn’t offer this service every night.

“I cannot say enough about Lucie!! She went above and beyond to take care of our Twix! She stayed at our home and was able to sleep with Twix. This is the 1st time we tried this service and would definitely do it again. She came for a meet and greet prior to scheduling to make sure she was a good fit. Lucie sent videos, pictures and messages keeping us updated on how things were going. We will definitely use Lucie again for future bookings!!”

Cumming dog parents share their Rover experiences
Chelsie did a fabulous job for us with our three dogs. Her communication was great. We had a mid-week change in other arrangements and had to add our third dog to the visits. Also, she was able to identify an issue, locate the pup meds, and administer them. We would 100% use Chelsie again.
