“I cannot recommend Alexis enough! We have a former stray who has only recently transitioned to being an indoor cat, so she can be very shy and particular about her food. I was nervous about leaving her, but Alexis was incredible. They respected her space, handled her specific feeding routine perfectly, and made sure she was safe and happy. If you have a rescue or a timid pet, this is the sitter for you. 5 stars!”

“Ashley is always great with our two dogs, keeps us updated with photos and messages! We can’t always bring our dogs with us when we want on vacation, and for short trips this has been a great way for our dogs to stay home and be taken care of. Thank you Ashley!”

About: 🐾 Welcome to Our Home for Happy Dogs! 🐾 We’re a family that absolutely adores pets — they’re our babies, and we’ll treat yours the same way! Our own furry family includes a longhair Chihuahua we rescued as a pup, a Chow-Chow mix rescued from the woods, and two gentle Great Pyrenees who serve as our lovable outdoor guardians. Growing up with dogs, I can’t imagine life without them, and I’ve had the joy of dog-sitting for multiple families over the years. Your pups will be supervised at all times and safe when we step out for errands. Most dogs love the socialization here — it’s a blast to watch them play and make friends! As a stay-at-home mom, I’m home full-time to care for your dogs with plenty of love, attention, and snuggles. I can’t wait to welcome your furry family members into our home! Our property sits on 15 acres and is home to chickens, guinea fowl, and turkeys. The backyard is fully fenced, providing a safe, fun space for your pups to run, explore, and play. We have lots of dog toys available, so there’s no need to bring extras — we’ll keep your toys safe and avoid any mix-ups. 🕕 Hours: 6am–9pm (Flexible if you need early drop-offs or late pick-ups — just ask!) 🎁 Referral Bonus: Refer a friend who books a stay, and you’ll receive 1 free night for one of your dogs! We’d love to meet your pups and give them a safe, happy, and loving home-away-from-home. Feel free to reach out with any questions — thanks so much for checking out our profile! I'm home full time so we will mostly be here with your fur baby. If we do leave for a playground or errand it's for a short time. I have two dogs of my own for socialization and a crate or separate room if needed if there's a dog that needs a break.
“I recently used Kimberly from Rover to take care of my dog, and cats and overall, it was a great experience! Kimberly was very friendly and clearly loves animals, which made me feel comfortable leaving my babies in her care. She provided regular updates and photos, which was a nice touch and helped me feel at ease while I was away. My fur babies seemed happy and well taken care of when I returned, and I appreciated the attention to detail in making sure all of my instructions were followed. Overall, I would definitely recommend Kimberly to anyone looking for a reliable and caring pet sitter!”

About: I’ve had both cats and dogs since I was 5, so caring for pets has always been a big part of my life. I’m comfortable with their daily care, routines, and different personalities. I also understand pet body language and know how important it is to recognize when a pet is happy, nervous, uncomfortable or just needs some space. I’m patient, attentive and will treat your pets with the same love and care I give my own. I currently work full time, so my availability is more limited during my regular work schedule. However, my workplace will be temporarily closing for about a month in October, which will give me much more flexibility and availability to care for pets during that time. I’m happy to work with owners to find times that fit both of our schedules. I plan to care for pets in their own homes, where they can stay comfortable and in their familiar environment. I’ll follow their normal routines, including feeding, walks, playtime, potty breaks, and any other care instructions provided by their owner. I’ll also give them plenty of attention, patience, and affection while make sure they feel safe and comfortable.

“So grateful for Abby’s wonderful care of our sweet pup! He loves seeing her and playing with her while we can’t be. She is very respectful of house and puppy routine every time! We can’t wait to see her soon!”

“Phoenix was so well taken care of with David. He sent pics, kept us up to date. Very friendly, Phoenix took to him readily. Knowledgeable about dogs per his conversation. Sent a great pic of her outside with her favorite ball. Will definitely use David's services again. ”

“This was the first time we booked service with Hannah. We were very impressed by her performance, we found everything clean and in order, exceeding our expectations. We will definitely book her again and recommend her to our friends.”

“Brandon is great! He took good care of our cat Garfy again while we were out of town. It's great to come back to a happy and energetic cat and know he felt at easy while we were away.”

About: One of my cats lived to be 22. Senior care is a specialty. Grateful for our time together. Non ferrel strays seem to find me. I've had 2 in the past 17 years. I work form home so my schedule is very flexible. Early morning is a good time to connect or late at night. I look forward to play time with cat clients. I spend at least 30 minutes spending time with cat clients. It does take time for some cats to come out of hiding. Clean litter is a must. Fresh water. Occasional treats : >)
About: I have worked on a farm for over a year so working in hot or rainy conditions is pretty standard for me — because of that walking your dogs in any weather is a slice of cake! I have owned numerous pets and took care of my neighbors dogs, cats, birds, and other critters for years. I am a very reliable and caring person and love spending time with animals, and would love even more to spend time with yours :) My current schedule is 7am-3pm with the ability to assist with your lunch time walking needs, pre work and post work care and attention, and the ability to help out with weekends away! It’s really important to me that your animals don’t feel lonely. I am able to feed, walk, play with, or just hang out with your furry friends! I have fostered many kittens and am capable of taking care of many animals or just focusing on one.

About: I’ve always grown up around animals in a big, loving family that treats pets like family members, so caring for them has always come naturally to me. While I’m new to Rover, I do have hands-on experience caring for my own pets as well as helping family friends with dog sitting, check-ins, feeding, walks, playtime, and giving lots of attention. I genuinely love animals and enjoy getting to know each pet’s unique personality. I’m patient, kind, dependable, and committed to making pets feel safe, comfortable, and loved while their owners are away. Whether your dog loves energetic walks, belly rubs, or just a calm companion, I’m happy to match their needs and make sure they’re well cared for. I’m currently a college student and I’m the Army Reserves taking one summer class and working part-time, which gives me a pretty flexible schedule this summer. I have plenty of free time for dog sitting, drop-in visits, walks, and giving pets the attention they deserve throughout the day. I’m especially available for families who need reliable help during vacations, work hours, or busy summer schedules. Because of my flexibility, I can often accommodate different routines and make pet care a genuine priority. Your pet’s comfort and safety are extremely important to me. I understand how important trust is when someone else is caring for your furry family member, so I always aim to provide dependable, loving, and attentive care. In your home, I will respect your space, carefully follow all instructions, and keep your pet’s normal routine as consistent as possible. I pay close attention to feeding schedules, potty breaks, exercise, and behavior to make sure pets feel secure and happy. I believe in gentle care, patience, and creating a positive experience so both pets and owners feel confident and at ease.
About: Hi! My name is Sydney and I've regularly walked my neighbors' dogs since I was 12. That role made me the go-to pet sitter for most of the households on my block! I've taken care of senior dogs over the age of 14, puppies, cats and kittens. At home, I have a cat and two dogs myself (a lab and a cavapoo). I work a hybrid job and can regularly check-in and be present with your pets! If you board with me, my pet-loving family is happy to play with your pup all day long as well! I have a fenced in yard and two dogs and one cat, so your dog needs to be friendly with other dogs. My cat is very good with dogs and my two dogs are friendly as well.
About: I have taken care of dogs of various sizes and ages for more than a decade. Coming from a rural community I always had contact and love for animals and as a young adult I have kept pets and cared for family and friends pets as well! I work in a hybrid role and am able to decide what days I go in to the office. My office is also relatively close by and I’m able to go home when need be to check on a fur baby. I have a fenced in yard and am able to crate your fur baby (as well as mine) if needed! I am typically home more than I’m not and am always happy to spend time with pets.

About: Lifelong pet caregiver with extensive experience in rescue, rehabilitation, and behavior management. Raised on a farm in upstate New York, I developed a deep understanding of animal care from an early age. I later helped run a Pit Bull rescue and rehab facility, where I gained specialized experience training and handling high-needs or difficult dogs, including those recovering from abusive situations. I bring this deep patience, calm confidence, and expert care to every pet and home I watch. As a widow and empty nester, my schedule is beautifully unhurried and entirely open to focusing on your home and pets. Without the demands of a chaotic household, I offer a level of calm, undivided attention that is hard to find. My mornings and evenings are dedicated completely to your pets' routines—whether that means peaceful early walks, timely feedings, or plenty of evening couch cuddles. I have the flexibility to spend major blocks of the day present in your home, providing consistent companionship while respecting your space. Pet sitting blends perfectly into my life because I genuinely value the bond and comfort of animal companionship, giving you total peace of mind that your home is secure and your fur babies are loved like family. I provide premium, attentive care exclusively within your home, ensuring your pets remain in the comfort of their familiar surroundings while your property stays completely protected. My approach to animal care is rooted in a lifetime of hands-on experience, from growing up on an upstate New York farm to co-running a Pit Bull rescue and rehab. Because of this background, I know how to establish calm leadership, read subtle animal body language, and confidently handle anxious or difficult dogs.Beyond specialized pet care, I bring an exceptional level of safety to your property. As a former security guard, I am naturally observant, detail-oriented, and highly trained in securing a home. I know exactly how to maintain situational awareness, double-check entry points, and keep your property locked down and secure. Combined with my flexible schedule as a widow and empty nester, I am able to provide consistent, unhurried companionship for your pets and unparalleled vigilance for your home, giving you absolute peace of mind while you are away.
About: I know how crucial it is for dogs to have a routine they can stick to. I’m very responsible about feeding, bathing, and walking dogs as often as needed. I work from home nearly every day. This makes it so easy to sit indoors and react to any pet care that is needed. I love animals and this is a great way for me to earn a second income. I don’t board animals in my own home, but I do everything I can to keep animals safe in their own homes. I don’t let animals off leash outside, I have the capacity to provide any prescribed medications, etc.

If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.

A Meet & Greet is a casual meeting to vet potential sitters and communicate care needs for peace of mind before a booking begins. Only sitters who have never booked with you before can schedule a Meet & Greet on Rover; however, you are welcome to coordinate one in Rover messages with sitters you have previously booked. This can be helpful if you have a new pet or routine you want to go over with your sitter.
Meet & Greets can take place in person or virtually. If you are booking with a sitter for the first time, we recommend in-person Meet & Greets to get a clearer sense of how your sitter interacts with your pet or the new environment.
During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Meet & Greets are a great way to prepare your pet and sitter for longer stays or first-time bookings. Read our tips for your first Meet & Greet.
