About: My love for animals started early — when my family adopted our dog during my third-grade year, I took on real responsibility right away, handling his feedings and nightly walks. That hands-on care grew into a genuine passion that has only deepened over the years. Beyond dogs, I've developed experience with a range of animals, including goats, sheep, pigs, and horses, giving me a well-rounded foundation for handling pets of all personalities and needs. I'm currently studying biology and wildlife conservation at William & Mary, so animal welfare isn't just something I care about — it's what I've built my academic life around. I connect quickly with animals, take their comfort seriously, and will treat every pet in my care with the same patience and attentiveness I'd want for my own. You can feel confident leaving your furry family member in good hands! I'm home for the summer from college and have a very flexible schedule, making me available for bookings on short notice. I may be taking on part-time work as the summer progresses, but I'll always keep my Rover calendar up to date so you know exactly when I'm available. Your instructions are my playbook — I follow them closely and don't cut corners, whether it's feeding schedules, medication routines, or house rules for your pet. I'm naturally observant and attentive, so I stay tuned in to your pet's behavior and body language throughout every visit, picking up on cues that they might need something before it becomes an issue. Your pet's comfort and safety in their own environment is always the priority.

About: Hello! I am a lifelong lover of animals and currently have two dogs. I have been petsitting for a few years now and thought signing up on Rover would be a great idea! I have experience petsitting with both cats and dogs. I currently work part-time at a couple of other jobs. Therefore I am most available weekday mornings to afternoons. I could also do some weekday evenings. The only times I am unavailable are Mondays from 10 to 11am, Wednesdays from 9am to 12pm, and most weekend evenings. Although I do not offer pet care in my own home, I can guarantee that I am a responsible person who is very good with gaining the trust of animals. My family has always had a dog in the house, therefore I am able to read their body language well.

About: I am a certified veterinary assistant.I graduated from a vet science class where we perform animal care on the pets we have: bunnies, cats, guinea pigs, grooming dogs, etc. I used to work at Dogtopia so I know how to handle dogs. I will be available all day on weekdays so I can spend nights in the pets home for overnights if necessary . She not only cared for MMO’s medical needs but provided emotional support for him in my absence. She sent pictures and conducted a River video chat with me to ensure not only Momo’s emotional support but for mine as well. I felt confident my beloved pet was in good hands.”

About: I have taken care of animals ever since I was a kid, I have been house sitting for 3 years now. I would love the opportunity to take care of your animals! Please feel free to reach out if there’s any questions. I currently don’t have a job and will be going to bright point in the fall. I will be free to work with y’all’s animals whenever. And will have class for 2 hours a day so your animals wouldn’t be left long!! I would love to feed and give your animals water, and I would take them to the bathroom every 3 hours!! About: Just moved back to the RVA area after years away. I have one dog of my own and am trained in basic/ behavioral training plus previous experience at Richmond Animal Control and Care as well as Hanover Humane Society. I take online classes only and in the evenings so from the time a dog needs me to when they’re ready for bed I am there. I make sure they sniff on walks and know that they walks are for them, not me. I have many different leashes and harnesses as well as a lot of experience handling large and hyper active dogs. Nothing scares me.. except spiders.
