“Oh my goodness Kim is a phenomenal cat sitter!! We came back from a 6 day trip and our picky senior cats acted like we’d never been gone. She sent great pics of them each day so I could see all the love and attention they were getting. Kim was also kind enough to handle mail and packages, and even left us a lovely welcome home treat. We’ve had mixed experiences with others in the past and it’s comforting to find someone who treats your pets and home so thoughtfully. So glad we found her!”

“My wife has always had someone to watch her dog, but we recently built a house and she moved to Goochland County. It was our first time using the Rover service and Riley was great. She sent notes and pictures to keep us updated on each stay. She was great and will be using her services again!”

“Kelly is amazing!!! Our pups are always tired when we get home from their walks and time with Kelly. They eat while we are away which is not always the case. Kelly is very quick to respond and we feel very comfortable with her! ”
“Shannon was wonderful with our pets. We have a very wacky dog that she was so patient with. She paid attention to all of our cats, and even got our most shy ones to let her pet them. She was careful and attentive to our Crested Gecko as well. She provided thorough updates every visit, and the pictures made us confident our pets were being well taken care of. We would absolutely book Shannon again to care for our family while we’re away!”

“Damaica is very responsible and communicative. Shared pictures of our kitty, who isn't always the friendliest to strangers, but allowed Damaica to pet her - a new friend. Definitely would use again.”

“We had such a great experience with Mark! He was reliable, communicative, and genuinely caring with our pets. From the start, they made us feel at ease with thoughtful updates, photos, and check-ins, which really helped while we were away. Our pets were calm, happy, and clearly well cared for when we returned — always a great sign. You can tell Mark truly loves animals and takes the responsibility seriously. We would absolutely book with them again and highly recommend them to anyone looking for a trustworthy, attentive Rover sitter.”

About: I've been around animals since before I could walk, and have always had a way with them. My family and I lived in a trailer park when I was little. My mother always said from the moment I was born the animals flocked to me and there was no animal I couldn't get my hands on. My sister and I used to play with the stray cats outside of Grandpa's house. Pop would always mention how the cat we were holding would never let anyone close enough. Mom would often find "miss kitty in my crib with me. As I got older miss kitty passed away, but had left behind some kittens in her stead. Mom had decided to keep one and named him pudgy. He was a long hair black cat with the tiniest bit of white on his underbelly. I can remember running up and down the hallway and tap my shoulder as if trying to play tag with my sister and I. Pudgy and I had been the best of friends for about 18 years, till his passing. During the years he and I were together, he would often come running anytime he heard me sniffle or begin to cry. There were many other animals that we had over the years as well. Dogs, chickens, goats, rabbits, rodents, amphibians, horses they've been a vital part of my life. But no matter what I always come back to many best friend and the furry felines. If you're looking for a caring, detail oriented, and experienced fur sitter/walker, look no further. From feathered birds no bigger than your hand, to strong horses, I've handled just about anything. While I am new to this app, I am no stranger to animals. Wether they are young babies or older seniors, I would be more than happy to care for your pets. Thank you for taking the time to look at my profile, and I hope to hear from you soon. I am currently working on getting my EVOC certification for Royal Medical. I will not have my updated schedule until after March 29. When I watch pets I do generally have my 5 yo with me. Availability -pending I have a dog pen out back and a cable that we use with our dogs fairly frequently when the weather is nice. I also have a play pen that the pups play in.
“Jenna did an exceptional job caring for my senior small dog. If I could give more stars, I would! She gave me photos and video and an honest observation of my dog on each visit. I would 100% request her to come over again!”

About: Just moved back to the RVA area after years away. I have one dog of my own and am trained in basic/ behavioral training plus previous experience at Richmond Animal Control and Care as well as Hanover Humane Society. I take online classes only and in the evenings so from the time a dog needs me to when they’re ready for bed I am there. I make sure they sniff on walks and know that they walks are for them, not me. I have many different leashes and harnesses as well as a lot of experience handling large and hyper active dogs. Nothing scares me.. except spiders.
About: I’ve been passionate about animals since I was child, caring for our family and neighbors pets, rescuing wounded critters, volunteering at the local SPCA, and playing with all furry (or not), creatures! I am very active and can walk for miles! I am responsible, dependable, and will provide exceptional service! I work part time with a flexible schedule. I don’t travel for work and I have my own transportation which can accommodate multiple pets of all shapes and sizes. Currently, our family doesn’t own any pets and I miss that interaction! I have a fenced in back yard and live in a neighborhood full of side walks and walking trails with lots furry friends to play with!
“Helena has provided excellent care for my puppy, shared great photos and reports for each visit, and always maintained great communication with me. She was very observant from day one, followed instructions and always kept me abreast of any changes or concerns regarding my pet. Thanks, Helena!”

About: I’ve had animals in my house since I was born! I’ve had dogs of all shapes and sizes. I’ve even had fish, hamsters, gerbils, guinea pigs, and ferrets. Needless to say, I truly love animals so much (maybe even more than humans). I turn into a full on mom when any animal comes my way. I’ve had experience with taking care and training animals since I was 12. All in all, taking care of your lil ones while you’re away is not just a vacation for you, it’s a vacation for me as well. Expect to come home to healthy, relaxed, and happy lil guys and girls! I’m currently a part time student who is also working part time sooo I have a lot of free time on my hands! I’m available on Thursdays, Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays. I am currently only accepting boarding in the client’s home due to my own dog’s training. I will care for pets in my client’s home exactly as instructed by them. I will be able to stay with them all day, let them out every hour or so, feed them when scheduled, take them on walks, have play time, and cozy time as well.
