About: Hello! I am a lifelong lover of animals and currently have two dogs. I have been petsitting for a few years now and thought signing up on Rover would be a great idea! I have experience petsitting with both cats and dogs. I currently work part-time at a couple of other jobs. Therefore I am most available weekday mornings to afternoons. I could also do some weekday evenings. The only times I am unavailable are Mondays from 10 to 11am, Wednesdays from 9am to 12pm, and most weekend evenings. Although I do not offer pet care in my own home, I can guarantee that I am a responsible person who is very good with gaining the trust of animals. My family has always had a dog in the house, therefore I am able to read their body language well.

I follow your instructions closely including feeding schedules, walking routes, any quirks or preferences because familiarity and consistency are what keep animals calm and happy in their parents absence. I treat every home with the same care and respect I'd want shown in my own, and I'm always in close communication so you're never left wondering how things are going. Further, I know that inviting someone new into your home and trusting them with your pets is a big deal, please be assured I'm direct, honest, and an open book.

Your instructions are my playbook — I follow them closely and don't cut corners, whether it's feeding schedules, medication routines, or house rules for your pet. I'm naturally observant and attentive, so I stay tuned in to your pet's behavior and body language throughout every visit, picking up on cues that they might need something before it becomes an issue. Your pet's comfort and safety in their own environment is always the priority.

About: Just moved back to the RVA area after years away. I have one dog of my own and am trained in basic/ behavioral training plus previous experience at Richmond Animal Control and Care as well as Hanover Humane Society. I take online classes only and in the evenings so from the time a dog needs me to when they’re ready for bed I am there. I make sure they sniff on walks and know that they walks are for them, not me. I have many different leashes and harnesses as well as a lot of experience handling large and hyper active dogs. Nothing scares me.. except spiders.
