Katelyn helped me tremendously when my initial sitter plans feel through. Despite the short turn around, she took the time for a meet & greet, and my dogs really took a liking to her! She sent updates for each visit, letting me know how they were doing. Would absolutely recommend!

About: I’ve been around animals for most of my life. I’m the friend people trust to take care of their dogs/cats while they go away. I’m adjustable to different breeds and needs. I will give them the attention and love they’re used to. I love going on walks so I will be just as excited to go! I am currently working from home, so I am flexible for different drop in and walking times. I will be in school starting the end of August, but I’m open to finding a time that works, just message me.☺️ I understand every furry friend is different and I am adaptable to learn their routine! When I am in your home I will do what is possible to make them feel happy and safe.

About: Caring for pets has always been part of my life, not just something I do, but something I truly love. I share my home with my big-hearted Golden Retriever Lucy Goose who brings joy, structure, and a lot of personality into my daily routine. Through her—and the many pets I’ve cared for—I’ve gained hands-on experience with feeding schedules, daily walks, playtime, enrichment, medications, and recognizing subtle changes in behavior or health. I’ve also had the joy of hosting pets with special needs, recently including a vivacious little pug puppy with epilepsy. Providing a calm, consistent, and loving environment is something I take pride in. Every pet in my care is treated with patience, respect, and genuine affection—just like one of my own. While away, your pet is my family and I am fiercely protective of my family. Hi, I’m Jess! I’m a lifelong animal lover and dog mom to a sweet Golden Retriever who’s very much part of my everyday life. Caring for pets is something that feels natural to me—it’s woven into my daily routine, not something squeezed in as an afterthought. My Lucy Goose is a large Golden Retriever with the sweetest, most gentle “little dog energy.” She’s very social, kind, and welcoming, and does wonderfully with dogs of all sizes. She has happily shared her space with smaller dogs and special-needs pets, and all interactions are always supervised to ensure everyone feels safe and comfortable. I work during the week for about 6–8 hours a day, and outside of that time my life revolves around walks, fresh air, playtime, and creating a calm, loving home. Pet care fits seamlessly into my schedule, and I’m intentional about making sure every pet in my care gets plenty of attention, affection, and consistency. I treat every pet like they’re my own—learning their quirks, honoring their routines, and making sure they feel safe and comfortable while you’re away. Whether your pet loves long walks, backyard playtime, or quiet companionship, I’m happy to meet them right where they are. I provide a safe, calm, and loving environment where pets can truly relax. My home includes a fully fenced backyard for secure outdoor play, and I supervise pets closely throughout the day. I also have a few pup gates to ensure safe calm and private pet feedings or if quiet time is needed. I also use cameras for added peace of mind and awareness while I am out and about. Whether pets are in my home or yours, I follow routines carefully, respect boundaries, and keep a watchful eye on behavior, comfort, and wellbeing. I communicate openly and provide updates because I know how reassuring it is to see your pet happy and cared for.

About: I have had dogs in my family since I was little. I have personally trained my dog on simple commands like sit, stay and come. I am also teaching my dog on how to communicate with buttons. I am currently on a morning shift, so I have plenty of time in the evenings for walks and play time. I am currently available after 3pm. I normally have Wednesday and Thursdays off so I could stop by on times that would be convenient for you. While your animals are under my care I ensure to give you peace of mind that your fur babies are taken care of and are safe while you are away. I will treat your home and fur babies as they are my own. I often use treats (with your permission) and praise to encourage good behavior. I also have taught dogs the basic commands like sit, stay, and come.

About: I’ve taken care of dogs since I was a teenager! Between friends and family I’ve watched dogs of all sizes and ages providing care and fun while keeping their minds at ease while they’re away. I WFH typically 3 days a week and can be super flexible so I can adjust my schedule to fit most needs. I’m also super active so walks are always in the cards! I like to care for dogs as closely as you do! Keeping them to their schedule can help them feel at ease with a new person.

My career in the pet care industry spans over a decade, beginning at age 13. Over the years, I have provided comprehensive services including dog walking, bathing, daily drop-ins, overnight care, and extended-stay boarding for dogs, cats, and small animals. My professional background includes serving as an animal care technician at two veterinary clinics, alongside completing two specialized summer internships in the bird and reptile departments at Zoo Knoxville (Tennessee). With over 1,000 hours of professional hands-on experience with exotic species, combined with a lifetime of domestic animal care, I offer a level of expertise that handles everything from high-energy dogs to delicate, specialized setups. As a dedicated pet owner myself to 2 cats and 2 snakes, I treat every animal in my care with the utmost respect, safety, and individual attention they deserve. Mid-Day Flexibility: I have an open mid-shift break that allows me to run out for quick drop-ins, potty breaks, or feedings. Consistency: My shift schedule means your pet gets a highly reliable, predictable care routine every day. I believe clear communication is the foundation of exceptional pet care. With my Zoo Science background and graduate-level studies in animal behavior, I am highly skilled at reading and adjusting to a wide variety of animal personalities. I have extensive experience managing complex behaviors, including crate and food aggression, and I know how to keep interactions safe, calm, and positive. Not only did he take care of my boys, he also brought in all the packages that we received while we were gone. He will be my first call when I need a pet care from here on out. Thanks Ryan!!

Both of my sons are adults now so I have free time to focus my attention on your baby. Your baby will have my undivided attention. My property is fenced and I will accompany your baby outdoors. We can play fetch or simply keep each other company. I will do what it takes to make your baby comfortable and happy.

About: I’ve learned and taken on responsibilities caring for animals, specifically dogs, at a young age. Nacho, my past rescue dog, lived to be about 15 years of age. He needed quite a lot of care in his old age, including joint supplements, pimobendan for his heart, and other treatments. I currently have two cats named Kirby and Sam. I would love to have a dog, but my living situation doesn’t allow currently for the quality of life they deserve. I work full-time as an aesthetician, but with some days off, so if you need a day or a time that you don’t see we may be able to work something out:) I ensure a clean environment with no hazardous materials around, ample enrichment, and all the love humanly possible. Full of healthy food and treats obviously🤪

About: Ever since I can remember I’ve been around animals! When I was born, there were cats and a dog in the house. I was responsible for my own dog, a brindle boxer, from the age of twelve, and took great care of her, cleaning up after her, and taking her for runs and walks all the time. Before her, my family had a golden retriever that we loved with all our hearts. I even had four turtles from the age of 7 through 19. I’ve got plenty of experience taking care of animals! I currently have a variable schedule where I work two to three days a week, some days 3-4 hours, sometimes the whole day from 8-3pm. It just depends. However, even on the full days I have time during lunch for quick puppy bathroom breaks, and plenty of time after work for walks or runs. I can crate your pup if needed, and I live in an apartment complex with a little dog park if they need some socializing! In regards to walks, I usually do these in the evening once it starts to cool down a bit so the fur babies don’t overheat. I can take them on short runs too so they can get all the exercise they’d need!

This was my first booking and I'm very happy! I'm pretty anxious about leaving my dogs for a day or more with anyone. Not just new people, friends and family as well since anything can happen. Both of my dogs have chronic health conditions so it's easy to cause them to flare up. There were no issues at all with their health or anything. Christopher made me feel very comfortable and even came over the day before to meet me and my pups. My GSD is 100lbs so he can be intimidating, it really soothed me to see that he was comfortable with that. He and his wife also took both of them for a couple walks during 2 of the 4 drop in visits! I'm sure my dogs absolutely loved that and my GSD pulls like a mushing dog on a leash. I can definitely recommend Chris for care of your dogs

It’s clear she truly cares about the pets she looks after. We highly recommend Debra and will definitely be using her services again!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

While Rover doesn’t offer traditional subscription services, some sitters offer recurring bookings for services like home visits and dog walking. Recurring services come with their own perks, such as flexibility to modify services (up to five weeks in advance), automatic billing, Rover Card updates, and same-day cancellations.

To find sitters in Crescent with recurring or weekly availability, select "Repeat Weekly" and which days you’d like them to care for your pet.

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
