About: I’ve taken care of dogs since I was a teenager. I grew up in a household that always had multiple pets (fish, dogs, hamsters) and have since expanded my love for animals by dog sitting and cat sitting for friends and family in the neighborhood. I am offering dog walking, sitting and other pet care services for whatever furry friend you need! I’m excited to get started with Rover and build community connections in Davis! I am currently a UC Davis student looking for a part-time way to make extra money and spend more time outside and with animals! I love going on long walks and hanging out at the dog park, or just entertaining your pet at home. I live in an apartment with an unfenced yard. When I dog sit for friends, I make sure to give regular potty breaks every couple of hours and maintain an environment that is safe and comforting for your pet.

“Thank you so much to Ann for her great care of our 10 year old pup Rocky! Ann was quick to respond and provided updates each day my wife and I were away from our dog. It is always difficult when we drop Rocky right before a trip and so we were extra grateful that he was in her care! The photos we received during his stay were so cute and we were impressed he was getting along with the other dogs during his stay with Ann! When we picked him Ann even gave us a photo colleague of Rocky during his start with her which was so adorable. Lastly, My wife and I were very impressed she was able to be creative when it came to ensuring our dog drank plenty of water; he sometimes does not drink enough water and her caring nature made sure he remained hydrated especially in the hot Davis summer days. After recently losing our German Shepherd, Ace, due to old age, we’ve been missing the joy of having more dogs around, and our lab, Indie, would love a playmate. We have a home with a secure yard and are excited to offer a safe, loving environment for dogs while their owners travel or need extra support. We treat every dog like family, with plenty of attention, playtime, and care tailored to their needs. Whether your pup is energetic or prefers a slower pace, we’ll make sure they feel comfortable, happy, and at home. For everyone’s safety and happiness, dogs must get along well with Indie, and we require a meet-and-greet before booking. I am a nurse in Davis and my wife works from home which allows for flexibility throughout the day. We stay pretty scheduled but have the availability to cater to our dogs needs! We have a fully fenced yard with a friendly lab. We love being outside and going for walks in west Davis. Since we used to have 2 dogs we are familiar with leash safety and navigating other dogs on walks.

I always take care of friends, family, and neighbors' dogs taking them on long walks, overnight stays, and grooming. I graduated from UC Davis with a B.S. in Wildlife, Fish, and Conservation Biology and am in search of dog walking, training, bathing, and pet sitting positions to help me pay off student loans. Aspiring veterinarians usually know they have a special gift with animals as a child, as I discovered at the age of 7. Thus, I have been involved in the husbandry of my own dogs, cats, and exotic animals the majority of my life! Due to my extensive experience as a lab animal technician, kennel attendant, and shelter volunteer, I have 6 years of professional experience in animal husbandry. During the year of the notorious Camp Fire, I worked as a veterinary assistant at the UC Davis Veterinary Medicine Teaching Hospital to 4th year veterinary students with disabilities during their clinical year. As their "right hand woman", I provided various accommodations for physical and intellectual limitations in order to facilitate their success. I was directly involved with the treatment of animal patients in ophthalmology, cardiology, community practice, community surgery, companion avian and pet exotics, dentistry, dermatology, internal medicine, neurology, shelter medicine & surgery, anesthesia, behavior, and nutrition. For several years, I also gained technical skills as a veterinary assistant in small veterinary hospitals and for the nonprofit Mercer Clinic for the Pets of the Homeless. “Our dog absolutely adores Roy! This is the fourth time that Roy has watched our dog. Normally, she’s hesitant when being left at a house for boarding. She wants me to try to take her home and she doesn’t want me to leave her where she’s at. But when we showed up at Roy’s house, she’ll let me give her a couple pets and then she just walked inside like she owned the place. It was really clear how comfortable and safe our dog felt. Emily and her family took great care of Finn the week we were away. I know they all had a great time because of the video clips and photos she shared and that Finn conked out as soon as we got home. Emily is easy to stay in touch with and didn't hesitate to let us know when she had a concern. I have no hesitation leaving Finn with them and am glad we found them!
A bit hard to review as there wasn’t much overlapping time to be with Memha. Her home is quite rural and surrounded by orchards with a large fenced yard so visually very appealing Memha and her husband were very sweet and volunteered to come into town to both pick up and return our dog back to us; very thoughtful! Our dog came home tired which we loved!
Nayzeth took amazing care of my dog Elvis! She texted me pictures and updates every day! I could tell that she. really cared about my dog and wanted to do anything she could to make sure that he was happy while he was with them. I highly recommend Nayzeth when considering a sitter for your pets!!
I give Lena my highest recommendation as a dog sitter! I am writing this review in reference to our experiences on two separate occasions. The first time we had Lena sit for our dog Daisy (a 4 yo pit mix) was a great experience. We always look for someone to watch Daisy who enjoys spending time with her and wants to have fun and Lena went above and beyond by not only taking Daisy on walks but also all sorts of hikes and adventures (we even got a cool photo of her wearing sunglasses!). Lena also dealt with some issues of Daisy having to go potty in the middle of the night very competently and professionally. She watched Daisy for 11 days and Daisy was well taken care of and happy when we picked her back up. The second time we had scheduled with Lena to watch Daisy for one night and Lena had a family emergency come up (a totally valid reason to cancel). Instead of simply leaving it to us to find a backup, Lena helped coordinate with her roommate to watch Daisy, which worked out great. Lena that she is not only able to take great care of dogs, but she is also a thoughtful and responsible person.
