Lots or experience & love to give!
Hello! Thank you for taking the time to read my profile! Now a little bit about me and the care I provide for my clients. I come from a long line of dog lovers. I was raised with pups in the home, and they were a beloved part of our family. Like myself, many family members are in the business of caring for pups in one way or another. I have been professionally taking care of pups on a full-time basis since I retired from teaching in 2020. I have worked with many breeds and specialize in small to medium dogs. I have worked with many pups who are elderly, have anxiety or need medication. Many of my clients are regulars and their pups’ become friends and have fun socializing here. Occasionally, some of my clients prefer to keep their pups separated, particularly if they are elderly, anxious and not social. I have plenty of space and can create secure sections, each with quiet den areas where pups can have their space, yet still be near me and feel safe. In addition, I use soft music to help calm and sooth pups throughout the day. For active dogs that love to play I have a long corridor which is great for indoor fetch! I also have a beautiful path behind my home where we go for long walks. The park is only a short ten-minute walk and I utilize it often. Sometimes I take my pups out for a field trip, and we get a “pup cup” at Starbucks and/or walk around the UCD Arboretum. Safety is my first priority! So, all dogs must be up to date with all their immunizations and flea/tic treatments! If you have any questions, please feel free to text me. I would be happy to set up a meet & greet with you and your fur baby to discuss your needs and any concerns. I have excellent reviews and references and am eager to serve you! Warmly, Ann *** Please note: For whichever Rover sitter, boarder, or walker you select, Rover takes out 20% of their income and 100% of the booking fees.

Ann is the best! She cared for our senior with a new illness in the most caring and professional manner. She is a true animal lover and goes above and beyond. We are so grateful to her.
Ann was caring, responsible, and reliable. We are grateful for her care of our poodle mix during our time away.

Ann did a wonderful job taking care of our little dog, Poppy. She sent lots of photos too to keep us updated on their day together including walks, cuddles and a fun puzzle for her mid-day snack. It was clear that Ann is a dog lover and an excellent care giver. It was so nice to know that Poppy was comfortable, safe and happy with Ann. We highly recommend Ann for taking care of your doggy.

My dog Cleo had such a fun time and she was very well taken care of and so happy! Ann is super sweet and responsive:)

I was a bit nervous leaving Farah because she is nog always the easiest because of her past as a stray. But Ann gave her so much love and attention, she played with her and was so calm and kind. During our weekend getaway I was so happy to see that Farah was in good hands. We loved the updates, photos, text and short movies Ann send us. Will definitely book again, thank you Ann!

Thank you for taking great care of Bailey!

Schedule
I board pups and other pets full-time. I work/school from home so I have plenty of time to walk, play and snuggle. Sometimes we do doggy field trips. We get pup cups and then go to the arboretum or parks.

Home characteristics
Safety, trust & environment
I work with clients to maintain routnines and make our guests feel safe and at home. Dogs are out and about but are crated during transition times or when I need to run out to the store to keep them safe. We take plenty of pics and videos. Communication is key.
A typical day
We enjoy going for long walks down the beautiful path behind my home. Often we will stop at the park and play or soak up some sun if it is not too warm. In the morning the dogs sun bathe while I have my coffee, they love the porch! We play a lot of indoor fetch, tug of war and puzzles. I try to keep the dogs stimulated and learning. Sometimes we are able to get "pup cups" at Starbucks or stroll around the UCD Arboretum or Central Park. I tend to stay away from dog parks because I have heard too many negative stories. When it is time to calm down we do doggy nap time after our afternoon walk and they get a treat and rest for an hour or so. In the afternoon, especially when it is hot we stay inside and the pups mostly follow me around the home.
