Andrea went above and beyond. This was a last minute booking because we were in a scramble to find a pet sitter after learning our hotel couldn’t accommodate our dog. Andrea not only cared for our babies with utmost attention, but she also communicated with us the whole time and even tidied up our place. Andrea is a gem and I would 10/10 recommend for your pet and house sitting needs!

About: Since I was a little girl I have always loved animals and wanted to be a veterinarian. Growing up I have raised and fostered over 20+ dogs, cats/kittens. I have also had the blessing of being able to raise a couple of ducks, geese, chickens, rabbits, and some reptiles. Had my mother let me, I would have requested a whole farm, however there were other important teachings in my adolescent years. Pet care easily fits into my flexible schedule as I am completely remote. My company is based out of Ohio and is mostly administration work which allows me the blessing to travel with my laptop and work from anywhere. I have a large backyard and a doggy door. I have three lynx point siamese kittens. All of my pets are fully vaccinated. I have three loving kids and a vast 5 bedroom home. I ask that we are completely open about your furbabys needs, so I can prepare at making them feel like they are on a vacation. And that you have peace of mind while they are here being cared for. If you’re on vacation, your babies should be too. Pet care fits into my schedule 24:7. I am completely remote and can assure you that your fur baby will receive top notch hospitality, love and attention. You should feel safe leaving your furbaby here when traveling. I always prefer a tour of our home with your pet so they feel at ease when the time comes for drop off. Furbabys can sense their owners emotions when entering a new place.

About: I started working at a veterinary clinic when I was 18. In high school I went to WestMec to get my Veterinary Assistant certs. I just graduated from Pima Medical Institute in March of 2024 with associates in Veterinary Science and studying VTNE to become a Veterinary Technician. Before working in VETMED I started working on a farm at 14-16. And then worked at a kennel facility for 2 more years after working on the farm. 🩺 A little more about me! My name is Kyra and animals have been a big part of my whole life! My favorite thing to do is go on runs. So that means your doggos will get some exercise at some point of the stay! I enjoy not only taking care of pups & kittens but I have also cared for Equines, bovines and poultry! Currently my family has 2 dogs. I recently adopted a senior Labrador retriever that had some health issues that her previous owners could not keep up with. They blessed my family with surrendering her to live with me and we are able to give her a full happy life! ✨🐶 I work at a school in veterinary science department my work week is Monday-Friday time is 7:30 am -3:30 pm. I can flex my schedule if any little ones require drop-in visit during my work hours. I am REALLY flexible those are just days that I can guarantee I can stay with your little ones for the whole day/night. I can still use other dates that are not listed as long as you are COMFORTABLE with me not being there through the WHOLE day! Along as my schedule works with yours and your little ones I am more than happy to help you out! I do not have a house of my own and my parents have 2 dogs, gecko, and chickens. I have met a lot of my clients when I was working in a veterinary clinic. I am now open for house sitting, dog walking and/or drop in visits. I treat every client as if they are my own animals. I am able to go on walks in the morning and evening. My goal is to communicate with my clients with daily updates ranging anywhere from just daily videos/pictures clients little ones or if I have concerns of my own. I always want to stay transparent and build trust with my clients!

About: I have cared for my own dogs for many years and also have professional dog-walking experience. Last year, I completed a three-month house- and cat-sitting assignment in Carmel, caring for four cats in one home. I am attentive to each animal’s routines, temperament and changing needs. My calm, patient approach is especially helpful for senior, sensitive or initially cautious pets. I provide dependable care, thoughtful communication and photo updates. Pet care is already part of my daily routine as a devoted dog parent. I plan my days around regular walks, feeding, attentive companionship, and time outdoors. My flexible schedule allows me to provide dependable walks and drop-in visits throughout the week. In each client’s home, I carefully follow their established routines and instructions. I prioritize safety, cleanliness, secure doors and leashes, fresh water, attentive supervision, and calm, respectful care. About: Hello! I have 2 dogs that live most of the time at my dad’s. I still walk them and take them to the park on a weekly basis. I’ve grown up with big dogs and now I have two smaller ones (Australian shepherd and cavalier). I am a huge animal person and truly believe dogs are man’s best friend lol. I think most dogs/animals definitely warm up to me, and I am flexible with any size or type of dog. Very excited to meet your fur family! I am a recruiter for a Software company so I am working mostly from 8-5pm pst. As long as I have a computer, I can work from anywhere to make sure I have ample time to take care of your pets. I care for them deeply. I will always try and warm up to the animals at first, but I can also be patient. I try to take them to the park as much as possible as well.

Omg Max was freaking awesome ????. This was our first time using Rover and we are very impressed. Max kept us updated about Brownie and sent us plenty of pictures ( which we loved and helped with our anxiety of leaving our baby). He was very easy to talk to and trust worthy ( Being that he stayed at our apartment for a whole week and everything is still in its place).Max hopefully you enjoyed Brownie as much as we can tell he enjoyed you! Definitely will be hitting Max up if when we need any future Rover services for Brownie! Thanks Max!

About: Hi! I’m Patience ! With over 10 years of experience caring for pets—ranging from energetic puppies to senior cats—I treat every pet like part of my family. As a lifelong animal lover, I understand that pets need tailored care to feel comfortable while you're away. A typical day in my care includes a morning walk, plenty of play sessions with chew toys, and quiet cuddles in the evening. For seniors, I focus on gentle, short walks and ensuring they have soft bedding and a calm environment. I work from home full-time, which means your pet will have company throughout the day. My schedule is flexible, allowing for frequent potty breaks every 2–3 hours and mid-day play sessions. I usually take a longer walk in the late afternoon to help them burn off energy before dinner. Your pet's safety is my top priority. I require a meet-and-greet to ensure we are a perfect match. I only communicate through Rover for your security and mine. I am highly observant of behavior, ensuring pets are never put in stressful situations and that their environment is secure.

FAQs for House Sitting - Cotton Center

Frequently asked questions about Rover

As of September 2026, there are 198 sitters on Rover offering House Sitting across Cotton Center. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:

  • Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
  • Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
  • Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
  • Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.

The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Cotton Center walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.

It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Cotton Center maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:

  • Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
  • Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
  • Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.

Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!

Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Cotton Center choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.

For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.

Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Cotton Center. On Rover:

  • 94% of sitters can help with special care needs
  • 100% can help with giving oral medications or injections
  • 100% can help with daily exercise

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
