About: I'm a dog owner of 5 years to a miniature schnauzer named Oscar, and he's my best friend! I have pet sat locally for 3 years, and have lots of experience walking/caring for dogs of all ages. I love all pets, and hope I am able to help out in whatever way you need! As an actor between jobs, I have lots of time between weekly auditions to pet sit. Auditions come at different times during each week, so my availability is flexible and varies week to week. About: I’ve been pet sitting for about 10 years and have experience with all kinds of pets, from large dogs like German Shepherds to small terriers, cats, kittens, and even fish. I’ve cared for energetic, shy, and senior pets, including those with specific diets or unique needs. I’m a college student, so my schedule is pretty consistent during the week. My busiest days are Tuesdays (8 AM–4 PM) and Wednesdays (10 AM–4 PM). On Mondays and Fridays, I’m only away from 10 AM–2 PM, and Thursdays I’m gone just from 11 AM–12 PM. Outside of classes, I’m very flexible and able to give pets plenty of attention, walks, and care. I also work part-time at a country club, but it’s currently the off-season, so my schedule is mostly focused on school. In my home, pets are treated like family. I have two friendly pets of my own, so I’m very used to maintaining a safe, clean, and comfortable environment. I always make sure pets get plenty of attention, playtime, and stick to their usual routines. In a client’s home, I carefully follow all instructions and make it a priority to understand each pet’s specific needs, habits, and personality. I’m attentive to feeding schedules, walks, litter box or potty routines, and any special care instructions. If I’m ever unsure about something, I always ask to make sure I’m doing exactly what’s best for your pet. I occasionally have in-person meetings, typically no more than 1–2 times per week. When I do, I’m usually away for about 2–2.5 hours and am very rarely gone for more than 3 hours at a time. If my schedule ever requires a longer stretch away from home, I’ll know in advance and will always communicate that before booking to make sure it works for your pet’s needs and routine. I’m available for weekday and weekend care, including house-sitting, walks, and drop-in visits. While I previously offered boarding, I’m unfortunately unable to host pets in my own home at this time. I love keeping pets active and engaged through neighborhood walks, hikes, backyard play, or indoor enrichment. I’m a big believer that there’s no bad weather, just the wrong clothes for the weather, so I’m happy to get outside in all seasons! I’m attentive to leash safety, surroundings, other animals, and each pet’s comfort level, with experience caring for reactive dogs and seniors who may need extra space, a slower pace, or other accommodations. About: I have decades of experience around cats and dogs - in the home and with extended family pets, and then started pet care for others as a teen. Through my teens and 20s I consistently dog sat, did scheduled walks out of others’ homes, or cat play/feed visits. I’ve loved each and every pet: from Great Dane siblings to cats that rule the house and play it cool. I grew up with cats and have long term cared for a Vizsla dog beloved to me, as my own. I have experience with animals that do not get along with other animals, or take a while to get used to humans (I’ve always had an affinity for these guys and allowed them the space and time to grow comfortable with me). I live in Portland, OR but am from the Hudson Valley and back in the area to be closer to my father who is on hospice with a terminal illness. I am reactivating my Rover profile because I am working from my laptop some hours a week here and there (I choose the hours) and spending some time with my father each week. All of my days are flexible and I’d be open to arrangements based on need. An animal to hang with and care for would be really lovely at this time. My days are all flexible. I make my own hours at work and am only working 8-16 hours a week due to being on intermittent FMLA. Several days a week I would be out of the house for portions during the day to spend time with my father in Fishkill, NY. Based on directive and to minimally disrupt their routines and comforts. I adapt easily and I find I have a good energy for animals to adapt to being around me—not forcing anything and just letting them lead the way in terms of their comfort level.
