About: I have grown up with all types of animals including dogs, cats, reptiles and more! I have been dog sitting/dog walking for about 5 years now and a part of the rover community for 2. I have had experience with a variety of different breeds & ages. I am currently a full time college student. So during my off months from school (May,June,July and December) I am available in Cincinnati! If you’re looking for someone who can be available all year long, unfortunately I won’t be a good fit. Your Fur Babies safety is always my top priority. I know that a new person watching them can sometimes be overwhelming. I love integrating activities that you already do day to day to ensure that they are staying comfortable and stress free! I also love play time, a good game of fetch never disappoints.
About: I’ve been helping my family take care of our pets since I turned 8 and we got a dog, and have pet sat since I was 14. I currently have a puppy and recently lost our much loved senior dog, so I know what kind of care and attention goes into dogs in all stages of their lives. I work part time in the evenings, but I am fully available during the day to take care of your pets! Mornings and afternoons work great for me! I treat your pets as if they were my own! Offering praise, pets, and treats and building trust with you and your pets is my number one priority!
“Cailie took very good care of my cat with drop in visits while I was on vacation. She went above and beyond and I wouldnt hesitate to book her again. My cat is shy but she warmed up to Cailie and even sat in her lap 😁”

“This was my second time booking Jordan, and once again she was absolutely wonderful. She’s reliable, communicative, and genuinely cares about the pets she watches- not just going through the motions. I felt completely at ease knowing my cat was in her care, which is huge for me. Jordan provided great updates, followed instructions perfectly, and treated my Nova with real kindness and patience. It’s clear she pays attention and actually connects with the animals she sits. Everything was exactly as it should be when I returned, and my cat was calm and well cared for. I wouldn’t hesitate to book Jordan again (and honestly plan to). If you’re looking for a sitter you can truly trust, she’s it.”

About: As a nurse practitioner, families already trust me with something more precious than anything – their health. That same professionalism, responsibility, compassion, or what I bring to caring for your pets. But beyond my medical background, I have an extreme love for animals. I don't do pet sitting just as a job, it's what truly makes me happy. Whether it's dogs, cats, or exotics, I care for every pet as if they were my own, making sure they feel safe, loved, and understood while you're away. You'll get the perfect mix of medical professionalism, trust in genuine animal passion – a combination that gives you total peace of mind and gives your pets a new best friend while you're away. Pet care fits naturally into my weekly routine, my schedule is flexible, which allows me to build time in for pet visits walks and it's extended care. I prioritize keeping a balance schedule so that way I can be dependable. That means you'll have the peace of mind, knowing I'm organized, committed and available to work on your needs. I provide pet sitting exclusively in your home so your pets can stay comfortable in their own from your space. I'll make sure they have everything they need fresh food and water potty breaks or litter changes, walks, playtime, and lots of love.
About: Hello! My name is Chrissy and I am an outdoor educator. I love going on long walks/hikes and would love to help you out with caring for your pups! I'm currently between jobs, so I have all the time in the world to dedicate to your furry loved ones. I'm excited to meet your pup! I prefer caring for pets in their own homes so that they feel comfortable and can relax in their own space. Having a pet parent away is hard enough, so I try to limit the stress they feel.
“We worked with Julie requesting walks, play, and meals for nearly 6 months until we recently moved and she was an absolute Godsend. She cared for my puppy (from age 2-7 months) while we were working like he was her own and I can't put into words the peace of mind she afforded me. She sends photos of your pet with each visit, was extremely accommodating of our chaotic schedules, and is so, so thoughtful. We will never find another like her!”

“thank you so much for looking after my cat and my bunny. edina also administered meds to my cat who is going through some health issues rn and i had ease of mind knowing he wouldn’t be off his meds schedule :)”

About: I have had pets my whole life and most relatives and friends have asked me to pet sit! The longest I have pet sat has been a month. I currently work, but my schedule is on average six hours a day! I am available as long as we communicate with enough time . I usually follow whatever routine your bundle of joy usually uses, if I have any questions I’ll reach out! I promise not to deviate from your wishes.

“Ann was great taking care of my two fur babies. More than just needing to be let out to go to the bathroom, they need love and affection when I am gone and she delivered. She arrived on time and cuddled with them so they felt like they weren't missing anything. I was quite happy with her services!”

Whether it's daily walks, drop-in visits, or overnight care, I'm reliable, attentive, and truly enjoy spending time with animals. In both settings, I prioritize safety, consistency, and communication with regular updates for peace of mind.
“I cannot say enough good things about Toryn! My husband and I are first time Rover users and normally take our VERY high energy dogs on our family trips, so we were very nervous to have anyone, even someone with experience, around our dogs. But Toryn shot over the moon with our expectations; sending pictures and writing sweet and thoughtful notes with every drop-in visit, exercising and playing with them, even staying later than asked to brush them and spend more time with them! Blew us away! I can already tell our dogs miss her!!”

“Cora is wonderful! Our three month old puppy Ari loves when she visits her and we feel great knowing she is in goods hands. She was super flexible when we had a schedule change and does a great job updating me on her visits!”
“Constance has watched our boys before but this time was different. We were in the process of moving when I was told to go on a trip for work. We had emptied our apartment but didn’t want to put our cats in an unfamiliar environment (a new house) and then leave them. So the cats stayed in the apartment and Constance came to check on them. One of our cats became so stressed out by the change to his home that he was a completely different animal. Constance sent me constant updates and (because she works with our vet) she saw the signs of distress and assisted us in getting him anxiety medication until we could get home. Invaluable connection to have if you’re leaving your cats for any period of time. She knows cats and is very helpful in easing my mind when we’re away.”

“I liked Chloe the minute I met her. She came over for a pre visit to meet my cats and learn about their routine. Ava and Tucker warmed up to her right away and I knew they would be in good hands. Chloe arrived on schedule for four mornings and five evenings to feed, play with and attend the litter box. When I arrived home from my trip, the house was in order, and everything looked as I left it. I’ll definitely request Chloe again. 🏠😸👍🏻👍🏻”

“Taylor did a fabulous job with my fur babies! She stopped in for 30 minutes to let them out, spent quality time playing with them, and even tried to hand feed them to make sure they felt loved and cared for while we were away. She took great pictures and videos of her interactions with them, which gave me so much peace of mind. You can truly tell she has a heart for animals and treats them like her own. I highly recommend Taylor to anyone looking for someone trustworthy, compassionate, and attentive to care for their pets!”

About: I'm a lifelong animal lover with hands-on experience caring for both dogs and cats. Recently, I've looked after British Cocker Spaniels and Rottweilers, and I'm currently a proud cat parent to two wonderful felines who require daily medication—so I'm fully comfortable administering oral meds with care and patience. I genuinely enjoy spending time with animals, whether it's feeding them, changing litter, going for walks, or simply offering companionship. I treat every pet like family and make sure they feel safe, loved, and well cared for. I am currently not working. I can drop in anytime for walks, providing food and medication and spend time with them. Pet care is a natural and fulfilling part of my daily and weekly routine. I plan my schedule to ensure pets receive consistent attention, whether it’s morning walks, mealtime, play sessions, or quiet companionship. I build in time for check-ins, grooming, and any special needs like medication. I also make space in my week for updates to pet parents like photos, notes, or quick messages, so they feel connected and reassured. Caring for pets isn’t just something I fit in; it’s something I genuinely enjoy and prioritize. Whether I’m caring for pets in my home or in a client’s home, I prioritize comfort, safety, and consistency. I make sure their routine stays familiar in terms of meals, walks, playtime, and rest all happen on schedule. In my home, I create a cozy, pet-friendly space with toys, soft bedding, and plenty of room to explore or relax. In a client’s home, I follow their instructions closely to maintain the pet’s usual environment and habits. I also keep the home tidy, respect boundaries, and send regular updates so owners feel confident and connected. My goal is to make every pet feel secure, loved, and well cared for, just like family.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
