“She was so kind and thoughtful with our sweet babies She gave off such a good energy, and I had no hesitations about leaving them with her. The care and love she has for dogs absolutely comes through. Would definitely book her again!”
“Cassandra has watched our kitty on several occasions at this point and is my most trusted sitter! She's very communicative, sends pictures every day, and seems to love what she does. She's flexible, dependable, and follows instructions very well! Would recommend her to anyone for pet care. Our fur baby is in great hands with her.”

About: I've lived with and cared for dogs for my entire life; I love all animals, big, small, young, old and anywhere in between, the more animals the better! I have experience with dogs, cats, rats, hamsters, and fish and I get along with all of them. I am available for early mornings and late nights as well as weekends. I am also familiar with and unphased by the less glamorous sides of pet care, I don't mind cleaning up after puppy accidents, I have some experience grooming our shaggier four legged friends, and I know how to administer most puppy medications. I work from home so my availability is wide open for whatever you and your animals need. I am an extremely active person so there is no limit to much I will love and play with your pup, but I will also be patient and sensitive to nervous dog and cats. There is no puppy personality that I don't love. I can't wait to meet your dog! I work remote most days. I also have weekends and evenings available for more involved activities. When im not pet sitting i like to take my own dog for hiking/ camping adventures! A typical day starts with breakfast and a nice romp around the yard, or brisque walk around the neighborhood so your dog can go potty and get out some morning energy. I have a flexible schedule at work so i can take frequent breaks to play and attend to your critters needs. In the evenings, im free again and i like to spend time being active, whether its a long walk, a game of fetch, or even an adventure to the park
“Sarah is a natural with dogs! Our dog is 6 and this is the first time we have ever left her with a sitter since she can be anxious at times! Sarah set us all at ease. She was awesome!”

“Olivia is the best! My bully girl really loves her bc she's so gentle and friendly. Its obvious how much attention she give her while she's in my home and I feel perfectly comfortable with her. She always has very detailed reports of her visits and I look forward to all the pictures she takes during them as well:)”

About: I don't just watch dogs—I welcome them into my family. Every pup receives personalized attention, a safe environment, and lots of love while you're away. I work for the school system, so I have weekends, holidays, and summers off. My typical work hours are 9:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., and my school is very close to home, which allows me to come home during my lunch breaks. I make it a priority not to leave the pups home alone for more than four hours at a time, so they get plenty of attention and care throughout the day. In addition, I keep 2 small dogs at a time but for the bigger ones I only will sit 1 dog for safety reasons 😊. Your dog will be welcomed into my home like family. I have a fully fenced yard, two friendly Shih-Poos who love making new friends, and a calm, loving environment. I'll follow your pet's routine, including feeding, medications, potty breaks, and any special instructions, so they feel safe, comfortable, and right at home while you're away.
About: I am an animal lover with 5+ years experience caring for neighborhood pets. I will provide specialized care for your loved ones when you are away. I am a trustworthy and respectful guest when I come to your home to look after your pets. Your safety and your pets safety are paramount.
About: I’ve grown up with pets my whole life and had three family dogs. When I grew up with my grandparents, I learned how to help different animals while working in their mini farm. I am a recent grad from UPenn currently studying for my professional certification exam. I am very flexible in terms of scheduling. If you have any concerns, I would love to hop on a call to learn about them and also chat with you! I currently live in a multi family home with family. I probably won’t be able to provide in home services due to allergies from some family members.
About: I have two cats currently, and grew up with dogs! I am gentle and kind to pets of all kind and love being around them. I have managed general care for dogs including bathrooming, crating, feedings, etc. I have taken care of cats including cleaning litter, feedings, and managing medicine (insulin shot for diabetic cat). I am currently a teacher, with my schedule opening up for the summer! I'd love to feed, walk, and clean up after your pets this summer! I have two cats at home. I am a respectful visitor who maintains a clean environment for my pets, and will do the same for yours.

“Klyde and Kimber loved having Justice visit them. Klyde looks so happy in the pictures. Wasn’t sure how he’d be but he warmed up fast! Loved the pictures and the description of how she spent the time. Looking to lots more visits.”
“Ariel did great with our shy girl. After a few visits, Mosby was waiting for pets and some play time which is a good sign and not always common. We’ve had Ariel watch Mosby a few times now!”

“Dog whisperer. Very upbeat, energetic. Provided details on visits and seems to love her job. Was always on time and stayed for the entire durations. Everything you’d want in a sitter for your pet. This was our first time using the service. We will definitely select her next time we need sitter services.”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Concord
I'm so glad my wife and I decided to use Sarah's services -- our dogs loved her! We have two dogs, one of which requires extra TLC, as she is incredibly anxious. From the first meeting, Sarah put our minds at ease. Sarah was so warm and gentle with our dogs, she asked all the right questions, and we felt confident leaving our dogs with her. While we were gone, Sarah was communicative and accommodating, and we were so pleased with the way our dogs were cared for. We will absolutely be using her services again, as it is not easy to find someone who you trust wholeheartedly with your babies!

Jeannette is the best. Her communication leading up to and while she is watching your pet is stellar. She takes the time to write really comprehensive report cards which is very much appreciated. Leaves no questions about how your pet is doing and what they got up to while you were away. Really enjoyed working with her!

First time working with Toni. She was excellent! From the first meeting she put us at ease. We have two cats that can be timid and she went the extra mile to get them to interact with her. Toni is quick to respond to any questions prior to service and during the service. Very professional as well a personable. Our cats did fine.
It's always a delight to have Jordana do drop ins for my doggos. They're always so well taken care of and they both love her. Mabel (older dog) can be such a grump at times, but she just gets so extra excited when Jordana arrives. And Ryuji absolutely loves her too. I'm very happy to have Jordana tend to my dogs any time!

Sabrina was absolutely amazing, and my dogs LOVED hanging out with her! I very quickly had to drop what I was doing to go out of town for a couple of days, and Sabrina very quickly came over, met my dogs, and was able to drop in on them for me while I was away. Thank you so much for your help Sabrina!

Stephanie was great! She stopped in as she was scheduled every day. She let me know if there were any issues, brought in my packages and trash cans. She kept me updated with how they were eating, behaving and going potty. I received a lot of pictures and peace of mind. She had no problem doing a meet and greet before we left. Highly recommend Steph for your pet sitting needs!

You and your sitter can agree on a care schedule that fits your pet’s routine and the sitter’s availability. Pet Sitting can be booked as a one-time or recurring drop-in visit. If you need overnight care or dog walks, you may also be able to book House Sitting or Dog Walking through Rover with the same sitter, provided they offer those services.
Before booking, confirm:
- the timing, length, and frequency of visits;
- the care instructions the sitter should follow;
- which parts of your pet’s usual routine should be prioritized;
- how often you would like to receive messages, photos, or other updates.
Not every sitter offers the same services, availability, or booking options. Review their profile and discuss the care you need through Rover before booking each service.
If you would like updates while you’re away, you can discuss with your sitter how many or how frequent you’d like those updates to be. The Rover app allows sitters to send photos, videos, and messages about your pet, including how many pee or poop breaks occurred. You can message your sitter at any time through the app and our support team is available 24/7 by email or chat if you have concerns.
The personalized, in-home nature of pet care through Rover can mean more individual attention for your pet.
Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page.
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee, which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a casual meeting to vet potential sitters and communicate care needs for peace of mind before a booking begins. Only sitters who have never booked with you before can schedule a Meet & Greet on Rover; however, you are welcome to coordinate one in Rover messages with sitters you have previously booked. This can be helpful if you have a new pet or routine you want to go over with your sitter.
Meet & Greets can take place in person or virtually. If you are booking with a sitter for the first time, we recommend in-person Meet & Greets to get a clearer sense of how your sitter interacts with your pet or the new environment.
During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Meet & Greets are a great way to prepare your pet and sitter for longer stays or first-time bookings. Read our tips for your first Meet & Greet.
sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their contact information. Sitters may set a same-day, one-, three-, or seven-day cancellation policy. Cancelling within your sitter’s cancellation policy qualifies you for a full refund.
Same-day cancellations for recurring services, which include walks, drop-ins, and day care, follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for pet boarding and house sitting, if you cancel after 12 pm on the applicable cancellation deadline, you’ll receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for any remaining days.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means you will get a full refund and our support team will work with you to find a replacement sitter.
