I work full time during the week as a teacher from end of August through The beginning of June with working from home during the summer. I can leave work midday to let my dogs out to go potty most days. He has full range of the house so they are not cooped up all day if I can’t make it home. I live with my sister so days I can’t make it home, she can. On weekends I am home. I spend time taking my fur babies on walks or to petsmart to get them out of the house.

When house sitting, I care for the pets as instructed by the owners. For dogs, I prefer someone with a fenced in yard so I can let their pet run free but I don’t mind taking the dog for a walk as long as the dog is leash friendly.

If the dog is not animal friendly that is huge to know especially if I am expected to walk the dog. If they are escape artists (from crate, collar, harness, yard) that is imperative for walking.

I love a good tug of war and snuggles on the couch. Romping in the yard is also nice. Going for walks is great for mutual exercise as long as the dog walks/runs well on the leash. I run semi regularly so if a dog needs a jogging buddy I can do that as well.

I’ve owned dogs and cats of my own ever since I was little. I’ve owned dogs as big as rottweilers and as small as a Chinese crested. I live with my sister who owns a pit bull and we both have two cats. They all get along with each other and with other animals as well. Having a dog that can not be boarded due to separation anxiety when it comes to overnight kennel stays, I understand needing someone available to watch your fur babies from the comfort of their own home. My cats are less excited about starters being in the house with them but on long trips away we manage to find someone to drop in on them.

From the photos and updates she sent, it was clear that both of our pets felt comfortable and safe with her. Our dog looked happy and relaxed, and what impressed us the most was our cat. She is usually very shy and does not let anyone pet her, but she trusted Toni and even allowed her to pet her. That alone says a lot about the kindness, patience, and genuine connection Toni has with animals. Throughout our entire vacation, we felt completely at ease knowing our pets were in such good hands. Finding someone you can truly trust with your animals and your home is incredibly important, and Toni gave us that peace of mind.
