About: I learned how to care for dogs from a young age. When I was 8, my family adopted a yellow lab, and ever since then, I've had a strong love for dogs. It was a big responsibility and a privilege to have a dog while growing up and seeing how to properly take care of her. Sadly, she passed when I was 16. During the pandemic, my mom adopted another puppy, and I had the opportunity to help train him at the puppy stage and relearn what that looks like. He's a black lab mix, now 4 years old. While I was getting my master's degree in 2022, I lived with six animals: a golden retriever, malinois, toy poodle, two pugs, and a calico cat. I was often asked to take care of them, occasionally for long periods of time, which also aided in my knowledge. This experience also gave me insight into caring for cats, especially since I had never been around one before. I'm currently working full time, Monday through Friday from 9am-3pm. I would love to take care of pets after or before work, and during lunch. I currently have one cat. I love to play with and take care of both cats and dogs. I’m here to make pets’ lives more fun and enjoyable while under my care!

“Brittany is the best dog walker there is! She’s so flexible and accommodating to our schedule. She takes great pictures and provides awesome updates during her walks with Bo. She’s considerate and communicative. Truly a life saver.”

About: I grew up on a farm with dogs. We had hunting dogs, working dogs, and lap dogs. Sometimes those were all the same. I learned how to connect and work with dogs at an early age and have never been without a dog in my life. Whenever my friends need help, they always ask me first. My current dog is a female goldendoodle that I love very much and I’ll be sure to show your pet the same care! I’m currently in grad school so my schedule is pretty flexible depending on the week. Weekends are usually my most open time, but I’m also free to do walkings and boardings during the week. I have a large fenced in back yard with plenty of space to run around. Inside, there’s plenty of place for your dog and mine and they should get along quite well. My dog does not have a mean bone in her body. If needed, I can separate your pet during feeding etc, as I have a gate to block off sections of the house.

About: I grew up with dogs and cats. I enjoy spending time and taking care of them. I am very responsible and would love to help you as needed. I am currently retired and I am available anytime during the weekend and week day. I love to travel so booking in advance would be helpful so that I may adjust my schedule as needed. I have a 2 year old chihuahua and have raised several dachshunds. I am very particular and will ensure your pet is happy and healthy during my care.

About: I have been taking care of dogs since I was 16. I can comfortably walk, bathe, feed, and overall take care of them. I’m also able to recognize signs of stress, happiness, and anxiety in dogs to help me better suit their needs. While I haven’t been taking care of dogs for a long time I am very comfortable doing so and have done lots of research to understand them better. I am currently on break from school therefore I have nothing but time to help take care of your furry friends! I am available seven days a week to walk dogs and provide drop-ins multiple times a day if necessary. I am able to drive myself to and from your home to do pet check-ins and will keep a close eye on them when outside to maintain their safety. When walking your furry friends I will not let them go unsupervised and they will be on a leash at all times. If your pet is not friendly with other dogs then I will keep them separated when on walks. I will work my hardest to make accommodations to your furry friends needs!

“Whitney was amazing and my dog loves her! She is dependable and very communicative. She sent lots of great photos of my dog during and after her walk! We did a meet & greet before her first walk and it is clear she is a dog person and very knowledgeable about keeping dogs happy and safe. I will absolutely use Whitney again for dog walking!”

“Madeline was amazing! She kept me up to date on my dog and sent the best pictures, which gave me so much peace of mind! It made such a difference knowing my pup was in such caring hands! Will definitely be booking again!”

Karina F.Star Sitter
“Karina is the most responsible and caring person I know. She grew up with her beloved dog, Angel, and learned early on how to properly care for a dog. Since then, she never hesitates to help out a friend who needs a hand caring for their dog. She goes above and beyond to show all animals love and compassion, even helping to care for a college roommate’s pups when the roommate failed to step up to the plate. I would always trust Karina with my pets without any worry!”

George S.
“I've known George for about 6 years now. I met him while I was on his ship in the Navy. I found out he grew up around dogs and told him he could come play with my black lab, Maggie Belle, any time he wanted. It wasn't long before George started dropping in every weekend just to say hey to her and see what I was up to. Once I got out of the Navy, it was nice to know I wouldn't need to stress about finding somebody to take care of her because if I was going out of town, I knew George probably wasn't and would be more than happy to help out. He really appreciated that she was an AKC certified retriever and he would work with her all day long. As a working dog, she loves nothing more than somebody that will take her out and run and do drills. I could tell from conversations with George and then seeing him around her that he wasn't bluffing about knowing dogs and I knew he would be perfect for my dog. Normally I worried because she was a high class AKC dog, but seeing how he did, I knew she'd get the right kind of care and work when I was gone. There were even a few times when I got home and George said goodbye to Maggie Belle that she was upset for days afterwards because of how much fun she'd been having. I still get videos and pictures of his dog now and everything he does with her. I don't know if I've ever seen somebody so focused on dogs that they could pick up as much as he does. It really is incredible. George is basically a professional dog trainer, from what I've seen from him and what I've seen at AKC events. You could NOT ask for a better caretaker for your dog.”

Ava L.Star Sitter

“Ava was amazing! Came by multiple times in a day for walks and to give my pup some love and attention. Friendly, communicative, and sent great pics!”

Liz L.
“I have known Liz for many years, both personally and professionally and she LOVES animals. Her own pets are treated like a child. She interacts so great with others pets as well. She walks in our house and our German shepherd dog is convinced she comes just to visit him because she makes him feel that way. She loves all types of pets also, not just dogs. She recently got a new puppy and her entire world revolves around him. I would absolutely trust her with our pets also. Anyone would be lucky to have her assist them with any needs their pet may have and I highly recommend her to do this job.”

Madison V.
“Madison is very patient and loving with my puppers. The love and care she showed my mini poodle and bernadoodle was very obvious, when they see her they lose their mind and when it’s time to go I can see they are trying to decide if they show stay or get in the truck. Highly recommended.”

Samantha W.

“Samantha is always very friendly and always takes great care of our dogs on their walk! They always seem to thoroughly enjoy their time with her!”

Columbia dog parents share their Rover experiences
I’m so glad that we connected with Barbara through Rover! She did a fantastic job taking extra care with our nearly 16 yr old boy, a Dachshund-Jack Russell mix. He is sweet but can be quite finicky and cantankerous at times and Barbara was very patient and attentive. She sent thorough updates and great photos, and these provided much peace of mind while we were away.

She was excellent at communicating during the time spent with my boys. I can tell she truly love dogs and does her best to make sure they get all the attention they need. She fed them and took them on a walk. My dogs loved her!! She provided a lot of pictures and my dogs were happy in all of them! I will book again in the future. She is amazing!
